They've lost a lot of contracts due to lack of professionalism and systematic corruption in its entirety from the top honcho down to the bottom of the food chain. Non-union, no OT, no proper training, no proper background checks (felons were able to work in the security field), D-rate benefits (if given any without paying up front and out of pocket for the premium stuff), no raises after contract renewals like most other companies...

Worst security company I've worked for and I've worked for 3. First of all I had been working for 3 months already, they called my phone and fired me for my background which was a misdemeanor from when I was 17 years old 7 years ago. They basically used me until they didn't need me anymore because I'm sure it doesn't take 3 months for a background check to come back. Not to mention they had me come to orientation twice because they got stuff all mixed up. Just a waste of time. I wish I would've read reviews before I even took the job.

I am a law enforcement bachelor student and Monterrey gives me a better opportunity to push for my goals and are easy to speak with about any issue I may have. I have a veteran in the security-related field and I am proud to say that I am still learning more everyday at U.S Bank Stadium in Minnesota . They also just may hire a friend or family member but I know also know that if a individual does not fit thevbill. They will be asked not to return to a site..If people took their jobs more seriously things would be ran smoother ! !

Hello-

This is the worst security company that I've ever encountered. I picked up a vehicle from the Midway Airport car rental location. The process for picking up a rental can be confusing for first time may work airport client. The concern I have is the way the security card addressed to me. As I pulled up to the entrance he just began point in his hands and gesturing go back around. He also asked me if I read the sign, which I had. Because I had previously read the sign, I understood that private vehicles could not enter. I asked him to come to the car because I had already driven around and was unsure of where to go. I asked him to give me direction on where to go and he abruptly told me go to 51st and Laramie which was incorrect. I am not sure why he was able to walk up to the car that pulled up before me to provide assistance. I finally figured out how to get into the facility to pick up my rental. As I exited the location, there he was again at someone else's car door giving directions. I then stopped and asked for his name but he refused to supply. He said he worked for Monterrey Security and that's all I needed to know. He was completely condescending and unhelpful. There shouldn't be a difference with how you treat people but there was obviously a difference between myself and the other two drivers your security guard assisTed

This security service is completely unprofessional, inconsiderate, disrespectful, unprepared and rude. Which isn't surprising since the owner is an ex cop fired over police brutality. They are known to hire questionable and worrysome employees. What's more, the disgusting treatment of Gianna a 20 year old Black woman, was excessive, abusive , inappropriate and over the top. At least 2 male guards who manhandled , dragged, cuffed her at the Lollapalooza . One even touched her breast and it was exposed. I'm disgusted they cuffed her only for a female police officer to release her. So overall the whole situation was pointless. You have police officers acting like judge jury executioner. And Security guard's thinking they are the police. I'm tired and fed up of people abusing their positions. PLEASE BE CAREFUL THESE SECURITY GUARDS ARE BULLIES AND BIASED !!!!!

The Monterrey Security is run by a disgraced and fired ex-Chicago police officer for illegal use of excessive force, is just as shady as he is. The security guards are rude, and try to be demanding. Some have asked to be "slipped cash" for favors in letting prohibited things slide. Many of the armed guards are not off duty police, as they claim. I asked a bunch of them and they told me they were from Illinois Department of Corrections. IDOC Guards are NOT peace officers and CANNOT carry firearms. They said there were NOT issued firearm control cards by the State through Monterrey security and were working on 'their badges' because they were guards at Stateville (Not parole agents). Monterrey also had one guy from Dalton carrying a gun working for them at many of their contract sites from who had been fired from his police department and had no police authority or right to carry a firearm. This was not the first time monterrey had let something like this happen. see: Adrian Santo - fired from Lake County Indiana, hired by monterrey killed someone while working for them in chicago.

for more information contact buddybuynissan2@gmail.com

I have lots of evidance which may by intrumental in penalizing monterrey with official charges

This company is absolute and complete garbage. Very unprofessional, untrained officers who are more like vigilantes gone wild as opposed to being trained and professional security guards. The recent acts that took place against Gianna at Lollopalooza was not only uncalled for but a violent assault. This company needs to be investigated and our our of business before someone gets hurt or killed.

I had the worst experience with one of their security guards and I've called several times to complain with no success. No one should ever be treated the way that security guard treated me and spoke to me in front of my children. Its very frustrating to think that he'll do it again knowing the company he works for doesn't care how speaks to people.

Unprofessional and rude. I attend a lot of events across the globe and recently attended an event at Soldier Field and I was horrified at the treatment towards the concert goers. There is no reason for anyone to throw out racist remarks towards anyone. Soldier Field should really reconsider their contract with this company.

No ratings because that is how bad your service is. Gianna, 20 has been manhandling and brutally attacked by this organisation as well as suffering physically injuries and emotional trauma from this disgraceful group. Many times have the people specially white have been caught trying to jump over the fence in order to gain unauthorised entry into the premises of lollapalooza however they we're very rarely aphrended or even stopped. Gianna 20 was told she was not allowed entry and was and she sliently obliged however as she was stood near the exit calling her friend the guards posed her as a threat because she was BLACK and was tackled to the floor. What we want from this organisation is compensation for grianna, an apology to gianna as well as the team that handled her that way in such a sickening way FIRED.

Potential employees and employers of Monterrey Security services Should read this....this is all facts that i have seen from personal experience.

employers... Monterrey is not trained and legally unable to break up a fight or anything. we would have to get a supervisor to take care of the issue and without a way to contact them.... so good luck breaking up a fight. the employees they hire tend to be shady and accept bribes to get access to things. and over all they screw over the staff. (now ask how safe your venue is)

Employees... they purposely do not give many events to people to make sure they do not pay benefits and other add ons. They deduct $13.00 a month, regardless if you work one event or 10, for lunch which is for a plain hot dog and water... when i mean plain that means not even ketchup. you get about 15 min to eat and come back on station. They are sexist... the will put a cute girl to be assistant supervisor over a Military veteran... talk about spitting in a veterans face. and FYI while your getting paid 9 dollars an hour... cops are paid 25 dollars an hour... so yea this place is very degrading and needs major change.

Oh and i forgot to add their thanksgiving F U to their staff... the send out mass amounts of confirmation emails and texts to people and say they are working an event like today... i set all my plans aside for work... yes i blew off family and all. they over booked it and even being on time they told us to go home.. an hour after waiting outside in the cold. this has happened to me twice this month. with no fuel reimbursement and pay for that hour of standing outside.

I was at Soldier Field on June 25th, 2019 to see the Rolling Stones. I had my phone out keys and my albuteral inhaler in preparation for metal detectors. I've had two pulmonary embolisms and severe spinal stenosis. While standing in line in agony a jerk from Monterey security approached me and asked if I had an e cigarette. Moron, was arrogant and really thought he was large and in charge. Not just him though
. Several of their employees treated us like convicts not customers. I highly advise against anyone using this Gestapo like company

Don't lower your standards enough to use this company. They play favorites, make employees work overtime without paying overtime, lie about training their employees, and don't do background checks allowing criminals to work for them. What do you expect from crooked leadership.

Monterrey Security absolutely bungled the Chicago Open Air festival. Completely unprofessional and poorly managed event. Waited over two hours to get in and missed half the bands I paid over $100 to see. Understaffed the main entrances, while they had staff standing around at the VIP entrances doing absolutely nothing. When I complained at the VIP entrance to Monterrey staff I was ignored. Security personnel were then letting unhappy concert-goers cut in line after waiting for extended periods of time, further delaying the people who waited in line. I will not return to another Open Air event, or to SeatGeek stadium in the future.

Was an employee here and I liked it until on 10/10/2019 supervisor Roosevelt discriminated against me I feel like for having a disability I believe. I showed up late for a shift by few minutes after having to walk over a mile from there parking spot to my shift area to then be sent home walking back in the rain. While I witnessed other employees sign in late. Explained to him my situation and he said he understands but too bad.

Monterey security officer gave me the worst experience ever! While shopping at Pete's on 87th stony island I was shopping with my family. I noticed the security guard about to peek around the corner as if I was stealing but I saw him so he began to walk towards me and was just standing there he even started to look in my cart which I asked was there a problem. He then lied and said he was interested in a item that I had in my cart which I knew was a lie I never want to shop there again.

The worst guards I've ever worked with. Literally dont even do security. They sit around and take breaks whenever they feel like. Are always on their phones, and leave their post without telling anyone. If a robbery were to happen I'm positive they would not know what to do and would actually be in the way. Hiring must be for anyone, because there seems to be a lack of discipline and professionalism in all of these guards.

I worked for Monterrey for 5 years and the management are some shady people, who don't care about the employees or the client, they would take someone from on site and leave that site without a guard and put them at another site that paid more, they hablve also lost multiple contracts due to unethical practices
