My wife and I had an amazing two hours of extremely educational and informative conversation with Gregory Miller (Estate Educator) about Luna and all the great wines they produce. The best part about the whole experience was the fabulous wines that we tasted. We highly recommend anyone who loves great wines and wants to have an unbelievable experience at a truly superior vineyard, you must visit Gregory at Luna!

Our favorite vineyard in Napa! You have a lot to choose from when it comes to vineyards in Napa, but Luna separates itself from the rest with a friendly and welcoming staff that makes us feel at home with every visit. The wine also differentiates itself from others in the area with some fantastic Italian varietals on top of the popular Pinot Noirs and Cabernet Sauvignons. All in all a great place to visit with great wines in a friendly and intimate setting!
Lovely service and great wine. The french lady is so sweet.
My favorite wine! Must try if you haven't been here! You will have a great tasting and experience.... the membership is one of the best!! I love there Howell mountain wine !
Spent Friday afternoon there with a reservation due to Covid. We had a party of 4 and had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed our tasting. The wine was good and we were treated as guest should. I will return there on my next visit and looking forward to it. Our host was Claudy and she made the visit even better. She loved her vineyard s wine and shows. Thank you Claudy.
This was our first visit to this winery. The tasting room is beautiful and parking is convenient. The sparkling wine was great and the red wines, although heavy, were tasty. We especially enjoyed the staff- we were helped by Becky who was friendly and helpful and also makes beautiful cork jewelry (I bought a pair of earrings). Thank you for a great experience!
i hated the service here and the wine tasted like a waste of time, rude staff, over priced and feminine males
Outstanding knowledgeable staff! Good quality wines. Definitely worth the stop!
Our clients love the wine. The inside is beautiful & unique. Inside tip; at any winery you will get the best possible service during the week. Cheers!
Amazing. All the employees are well versed in the different wines from Whites to Reds. Great experience
Wonderful surprise in Napa. Loved the Cab Sauv and Pinot Grigio. Well worth the stop if you are in the area. Thanks to Tyson for making it a wonderful experience!..
Great wines and a relaxing atmosphere. Their chardonnay is absolutely amazing. Our bartender was friendly as well. I would definitely like to go back and visit again.
Very friendly suggested great restaurant and even offered to call and make a reservation. Very friendly and offered great insights into the city of Napa.
Beautiful vineyard! The wine is amazing and the price for the tasting is very reasonable, the service was wonderful!! Definitely would come here again in my next visit
Visited Luna for a 30th birthday celebration and WOW were we treated well. The Sommelier was French and adorable! She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and full of character (like the wine)! We tasted so many amazing wines that we joined the club!! I love that you can't find them in the stores (wines this good, if they could be made in bulk would fly off the shelves tho!) and that it is a small business style winery.
Bottom line, we were spoiled with love and wine and we appreciated every minute of it!!!
BTW, get the Bubly, it was incredible.
Simply one of the best wineries in California. Taste Luna white and reds and you will be immediately addicted. Ron Pedersen
I really like Luna. It is cozy. They have good wines but is a touch on the expensive side.
Great Italian-inspired wines. Excellent service and nice seats outside.
Wines just OK. Pourer comically unaware of places other than Napa ("this wine is perfect for the beach, but you don't have those in Canada" and "you are closer to the wilderness in Canada, and this wine would be good with moose")!! Hard sell.
5 star for the wine and the ambience.
3 stars for the staff. They really make us feel unwelcome...
Sangiovese Riserva is a must try! Best distinct wine in whole Napa!
Had a great time learning about Luna wines from one of their wine makers. They were very accommodating and fit our group of 8 in last minute at the end of the day.
This was our final stop on our Napa wine tasting tour and it was a great place to end the day as it has one of the later open tasting rooms, but also because the staff is very laid back and took the tasting at our pace. Our server was a very interesting French woman who was more friendly than anything else. We enjoyed the experience and the wines so much, we bought a few to take home with us, since they were only available at the property.
Awesome! Claudy was the best host for us! Thank You Will and Roxanne.
The wine here is first class. Only available at the winery. Not cheap but worth it. You need a reservation for a tasting so call a head.
Wine was ok and decided to get two bottles. Returned to my hotel to find out that they gave me a cheaper pinot grigio instead of the merlot I purchased. Not a mistake that should have happened and when I spent a considerable amount of time the following day to get the correct bottle the best they could do was give an apathetic 'sorry'.
The most elegant winery in the valley. Small and intimate for friends or families. The wine is some of the best I have ever had the privilege of tasting. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. A great place to visit and taste incredible wines, or just hang out and visit with a wonderful clientele.
We had a great tasting experience; the woman who helped us was very knowledgable and took her time. It's hard to say no to buying great wine when it's coupled with excellent service.
Had a wonderful wine tasting experience, very professional and welcoming
The Sangiovese!! So yummy!! And pet friendly! Claudy was welcoming and made my puppy right at home while tasting great wines!
This winery was a huge disappointment. I tried calling for 3 days prior to our arrival and no returned call from them. When we arrived the hostess was very rude and told us we should have called to make a reservation. When I told them I had tried calling several times he said, " you must have been calling the wrong number and laughed" I showed him the number on my cell phone and he said, " that's the number but you must not have left a message. When we asked for a manager we were told they are very busy and should come back tomorrow instead. With so many beautiful wineries in Napa we won't be wasting our time going there again. They need a lesson in customer service. Stay away from this place. A bad ! They don't even deserve 1 star.
Ehhh. Ok. Nothing special about the wine or service.
James was great and super informative and friendly!! Great experience and wine.
Made me feel unwelcome. Nobody said hi, everyone stared at us like we were aliens. Not even the bartender said hi or greeted us, and there was only 10 people or less so it wasn't like he was too busy to say one word "welcome." No service, no stars if I could. We just left.
Poor service. Waited for awhile between tastings. No real information on wine or winery (that you couldn't read from the menu on your own). Not worth $30 for tasting of 5 wines.
Great wines, Luis was very friendly and informed. View of the vineyard from the tower is very pretty.
An upscale atmosphere with a good selection of wines. One of the places I will be visiting again when I go back.
One of the best little vineyards. Very nice staff, very quaint little place.
Long time member.
Fantastic wines, and great
Staff.
Plan a visit and you won't be
Disappointed !
We were just in a few days ago and our hostess was very friendly, attentive, and informative. The wine was just as good. After a day of wine tasting we couldn't pass up a bottle of Luna Sangiovese when we saw it in the store.
Walked in with a Friday, no reservation. There was maybe three groups there total. Asked to sit outside, but they said there was nothing available and they would move us when something came available. I thought maybe they had some reservations coming in which is why we were denied when there were open seats, but no one ever came. We were stuck in a corner. Started a tasting and was barely two sips into the first glass before they were trying to get us to join the wine club. Throughout the tasting all she did was push the wine club. They didn't seem to care about who we were or what we were looking for in a wine, it felt more like a sales pitch. I get that part of doing the tastings is that they hope you will purchase wine from them, but maybe let your customers try the wine before you start pressuring them to purchase.
There are way better vineyards in that area. Don't waste your time on this one.
Some of the best wine in a laid back cool winery. I love their wine club.
Place was pretty, BUT staff was rude. Got left outside and staff just returned to pour next tasting and left. No history given on vineyard no hospitality.
Great small winery. Go to the top of the tower for a great view of the vineyard. Nice staff.
Relaxing atmosphere. Great wines! Knowledgeable enjoyable staff. Good music
I thought i would buy red but i bought No oak chardonnay & mille baci
Great tasting and wines! Devin served us and was exceptional - super friendly and shared detailed descriptions of the winery s history and each wine s background. 10/10 recommend. Even got me to buy a wine club membership.
Setting and scenery is very beautiful. The wine is great. Love the Cabernet and Merlot. Waiter we had for the tasting was very knowledgeable of the wines being served and gave great recommendations on other wines from the list.
I would recommend this winery to anyone visiting Napa or to anyone in the area who hasn't been here yet and looking for a nice relaxing time.
Since we bought a few bottles the tasting fees were waved anyways. But either way it's week worth the tasting fee if that's all you go for.
Beautiful location. Well educated staff. Good wines.
This place should get 10 stars. We loved all the wines and the tasting is reasonably priced. They also give military perks so make sure to ask. But the best part was the service - Tyler, our cutie pie wine guide was incredible. The best service out of the 9 places we visited! So personable and knowledgeable about all the wines and the area in general. He took customer service to the next level. We arevso happy we ended our weekend here and it is our #1 recommended place to visit!
Luna is great. Amazing Sangiovese and lots of other good wines for when you tire of the nonstop Pinot and Cab Sauv onslaught of napa. Shady balcony seating, and cool staff. Definitely worth a visit.
They have a nice, dog-friendly outdoor patio with comfortable seating. Just as importantly, they're open until 6pm an hour longer than most other tasting rooms in Napa. Our server was very nice and attentive as well.
That said, our group was less than impressed by the wines (especially given the price point) and thought the $30 tasting fees were excessive, even for Napa. NOTE: they're only approved for tasting flights, so that's your only option when you come here.
I had a wonderful experience at this winery. The staff was warm, welcoming and friendly. The winemaker here is something special, she does everything well especially Italian varietals. I ended up signing up for the club after realizing that every wine I tasted was impressive.
Got there shortly after 5 pm and even though they're open until 6 pm they were only open for people with reservations (which was not indicated on their signs, website or anywhere else
Stopped in on our honeymoon and the staff was wonderful! They really took hospitality to a new level. Fantastic service, beautiful setting and delicious wines!
Fantastic boutique winery with excellent wines. Great service by knowledgeable servers. A great setting and outstanding atmosphere.
Was there for my stagg in June, staff were amazing!!!

Luna Vineyards: A Family-Owned Winery Crafting Exceptional Wines in Napa Valley
Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, Luna Vineyards is a family-owned winery that has been producing exceptional wines for over 25 years. Founded by Mike Moone, Luna Vineyards was the first winery to plant Pinot Grigio in Napa Valley and has since become the largest estate-planted Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese producer in the region.
At Luna Vineyards, we believe that great wine starts with great grapes. That's why we take a hands-on approach to every aspect of our vineyard management, from pruning and trellising to irrigation and canopy management. Our vineyard team works tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that our grapes are of the highest quality possible.
Once our grapes are harvested, they are carefully sorted and destemmed before being gently pressed. We use only free-run juice for our white wines, which helps preserve their delicate aromas and flavors. Our red wines are fermented on their skins for up to three weeks before being aged in French oak barrels.
One of our most popular wines is our Pinot Grigio, which is crisp, refreshing, and perfect for sipping on a warm summer day. We also produce a range of other white wines including Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
For those who prefer red wine, we offer several varietals including Sangiovese (our flagship red), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Malbec. Our Sangiovese is particularly noteworthy as it has won numerous awards over the years including Best Red Wine at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
In addition to producing exceptional wines from our estate vineyard in Napa Valley's Atlas Peak AVA , we also source grapes from other top-quality vineyards throughout California . This allows us to create unique blends that showcase different terroirs within California's diverse wine regions .
At Luna Vineyards ,we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional tasting experience for all visitors .Our tasting room offers stunning views of Napa Valley while you enjoy your favorite glass or bottle of wine .We also offer private tastings by appointment where you can learn more about how we craft each bottle with care .
In conclusion,Luna Vineyards is not just another winery; it’s an experience worth having! From its rich history as one of Napa’s pioneers planting Pinot Grigio grape variety,to its award-winning portfolio crafted with passion by skilled artisans using sustainable practices ,Luna Vineyards offers something special for everyone who loves good wine!
