The library is calm, clean, and spacious. Their selection of children's books is great. They have a designated area for children to play and read. The staff here are really friendly and make a conscious effort to get to know visitors by name.

I have had great experiences at the library downtown long beach . I love going because they have a great selection of materials for all. Also I love how large the library is it has a lot of places to sit ,read, and relax. I try to go every other week. I enjoy the time I spend there.

The staff are friendly. They speak to everyone who walks in. The library has a great amount of material and it s in a convenient location. Right at the downtown bus station and directly across from the Long Beach train station. There is homelsss people that rest outside but they don t cause trouble...

It is a wonderful place to go for peace and quiet ...

It is a wonderful place to go for peace and quiet as well as borrowing books, DVDs, and music CDs. I go whenever I can and I use their computers there. All you need is your library card number and a personal PIN to login and use the computers. You get two hours on it.
