Went to the store to try and get my laptop fixed. Person in the repair department was immediately rude and adversarial. He was condescending when I asked if there was any way the repair could be done faster than 7 business days (Apple had previously told me this repair could be done there within 1-3 business days). Left without a repair. Suprised by the experience. Would not go back. Awful customer service.

Update: took an Uber to an apple store right after, they were able to see me without an appointment. They were able to do diagnostics on my laptop and are going to fix it and get it back to me on Monday (3 total days, 1 business day). Not sure if the Apple store is just that much more competent, capable and/or resourced than the micro store, but they certainly have better custom service.

Takeaway: if you want to be treated respectfully by a place that actually gets the job done efficiently, then do not go to the micro store.

Ask for Cairo! I'm a first time pc builder and he helped me out a ton, very friendly and incredibly knowledgable! I will definitely be back in the future, A+ service all around.

Good selection of pc parts at mail order prices. Love the fact that i can walk in get all the parts i need for a pc build and drive home and build a pc thatvday dont have to wait for parts to come in the mail.

I always come here at least a few times a year . Always helpful always prompt service.

MicroCenter is a geek's dream come true. First of all, it has the best selection of computer and electronics goods in Boston, bar none. The selection itself is geared slightly more towards the computer enthusiast than the mainstream computer like stores such as Best Buy. This may be good or bad, depending on which type of customer you are. But seeing how there are for more Best Buy-type stores, MicroCenter fills a big need in the market.

On top of that, the sales associates tend to be much more knowledgeable than their Best Buy cousins and the prices are reasonable, for a brick and mortar store anyway. Generous parking is just the cherry on top.

Management lied about new release policy of the 3080. I was told there would be no pre-orders or vouchers. Showed up 2 hours before opening and they were sold out due to "vouchers." Won't be shopping with them again.

Good place for buying electronics locally. The place is a bit disorganized and gets very busy, but overall the best in the area.

Best prices to buy computer parts, even compared to online shopping. They give bundle discounts to for example buying a motherboard and a processor together.

The guy at the repair counter gave me a MUCH cheaper option than both associates at two other big box chains gave me for fixing my Macbook's wifi connection issue. A $39.oo fix as opposed to a $600 fix, so very grateful to the associate (I cannot remember his name). This idea in business practice is not a new concept. The discount/reduced profit may have cost Microcenter initially but in the long run, it will pay off for them with the amount of repeat business and referrals I make for friends to shop there instead. In Metro West areas like Bedford and Stow, some people have never heard of this store, I will help change that.

Pricing is close to if not better then online stores with no shipping charges involved. The selection is mind boggling and the staff is quite helpful.

Every saleslerson that helped me today was friendly and knowledgable.

I spent a lot of time with Kwame in the computer section to find a laptop that fits my needs for music production. Kwame was very patient and really knew his computers. He didnt try to upsell me into buying features/products I didnt need and was very honest. If you are looking to make a computer purchase or big item electronic I would definitely recommend working with Kwame.

The last great DIY computer store in Boston. Still great prices and knowledgeable staff.

Pretty decent selection of computer parts and what not. First time I've ever been here and I went for store pickup. One thing I noticed is that the line for store pickup is also the same line for returns, which is pretty ridiculous. I waited about 15 minutes to pick up my order and the line was extremely long behind me, so others must've waited like 30 minutes. I'd suggest having a separate line for online/store pick up, we shouldn't have to wait for something that's already set aside with our name on it.

BAIT AND SWITCH - Check your receipts, these guys are running a bait and switch scam. Got over charged on two separate items where the price on the shelf was 5$ less than the price charged. The Operations Manager was extremely rude and tried to deny it. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ended up wasting 30 min to just get a full refund. Better to just buy your stuff on Amazon, it's much cheaper anyway

This place is great for anybody who is interested in computers or hardware in general. Came for some DisplayPort cables and found that I could save $70 a piece on the monitors I just bought.

If I could give negative stars I would. We bought a Chromebook from them, and realized we need a touch screen laptop for our kindergartner. We haven t even used the Chromebook but because we are a few days beyond the return window they won t let me exchange it. I even explained I was happy to buy the computer from them. I can t get anyone to answer the phone to confirm what the online chat told me. Given everything going on in 2020 one would hope they could follow many other retailers and offer a little flexibility and understanding to their customers. I guess that s too much to ask for.

do not bike here, my bicycle got stollen at this location, there seems to be a camera pointing at bicycle rack but the camera is not operational

The store has a variety of electronics from Apple products to Microsoft etc etc from open box to clearance to sales. If want to buy electronics with a low price, discount and quality, this is the place to be.

This place is totally worth a trip if you are a Consumer Electronics consumer. Have a look online if you don't feel like going to Cambridge. They share the parking lot with a Trader Joe's if you need to justify going.

If you've been to a micro center you know that the staff and prices are unbeatable if you're a PC build enthusiast. If you're looking for a place that's pretty and shiny, this isn't the store for you. However, the knowledgeable staff beats any electronics store there is, especially big box stores, their passionate, and most importantly, honest. They offer great services at fair prices and can answer pretty much any question you throw at them. Inventory is a little sketchy right now but it's like that everywhere and they are constantly restocking so if it's not there today, keep checking the website. Only downfall is no direct buying from their website but the prices in store compared to everyone else makes up for that.

Amazing staff, not the most beautiful store, but a huge selection of tools to TVs. I highly recommend you get lost in there if you've never been.

Very clean store, lots of options for electronics needs. Ample parking and great products to choose from. Beware, it's hard to walk out without at least one fun cash register item! Lots of fun electronic toys to choose from!

Micro Center is my store! When I walk in there I feel like a kid in a candy store (: Micro Center is my first choice with anything having to do with tech.

micro center has a great selection of products you'll otherwise only find online, but there's often a premium to pay for that tactile gratification/convenience. the sales staff is very often quite helpful, but just as frequently can be overly aggressive on one hand or jarringly dismissive on the other.

Go to micro center for the wide selection of interesting, useful products--many of which you won't find for retail sale elsewhere. Do not go to micro center for stellar prices or outstanding customer service.

Product selection is awesome for a retail store. Staff can be hit or miss as they chase you around with their commission stickers but most of them have been very helpful

You can tell the pressure sales people are under to assist people and get their sticker on products, maybe ease up a bit ? Selection of computer parts here is awesome and the prices/deals are ususally the best around. Worth even a 50 min drive there.

Best computer / tech store in the Boston & Cambridge area. Not only great selection of computers, but huge assortment of computer parts & tools to repair or build your own rig from scratch. Lots of high end hardware and even big Arduino and Raspberry Pie section. Recommend!

Micro Center sold me defective Acer laptop. After 2 weeks they refused to take it back.

I own an Apple Mac laptop and updated the OS software, which was not downloaded properly resulting in corrupt software. Files on my desktop were not backed up and I ran the risk of losing them. As a college student with final reports and final exams around the corner, I was most concerned about losing all my files. I brought it to Micro Center s Repair Clinic at 4pm and spoke with Yonus.

Yonus asked me to describe the issue and once he saw the computer he immediately identified the software was corrupt. I explained that the files were the most important to recover. He reassured me that he and his team will back up all files and restore the software to functioning properly. He understood the urgency of the situation and told me the job will be done by tonight. I left the laptop at Micro Center for them to work on.

By 7pm I received a text updating me on the status and I returned to Micro Center. To ensure the remaining process was smooth, the team completed restoring the software and restoring the files for me.

At 10pm, data restoration was complete and the computer was restarted, everything was complete. Yonus told me to email him letting him know how the software and apps were running. His continued support is appreciated.

Overall, incredible customer service! Yonus was reassuring and the team was checking on the progress. Extremely friendly, understanding, and knowledgeable staff. I would highly recommend Micro Center, specifically the repair team. They are geniuses!

I love this place they have everything you could need for any computer parts even things like gaming chairs I really wish they had a location in New Hampshire so I don't have to drive an hour and 6 minutes away from where I live to get down there but it is a very awesome store very clean well stocked has everything you would need

Like visiting a winter wonderland! Except instead of snow it is computer hardware, and instead of Santa you have a microcenter salesperson to help you get absolutely anything you could ever imagine. Consoles, laptops, desktops, build-your-own-pc, office supplies... Pretty much anything that could loosely relate to an electronic decide.

I was recommended to go to the store buy a really great Comcast technician at my house recently. He told me this was the best place to go because the people do exactly what was going on and the prices are the best rounds.
I went there last Sunday morning five minutes after they opened. It was busy, but it was weird. It was like some military emergency operation, very high tension and definitely management down driven.
The young guy who assisted me with the Wi-Fi system was very nice but really didn t I have a lot of information. He did however convince me that I should buy a two year extended warranty for 20 bucks.
It took a while to check out which is fine and I got home to find out that the $179 item I bought was $148 on Amazon. And a unit had a note on the front of the package that said two-year warranty . I m not sure if that means the warranty I bought extends it to four but I don t think so.
I live about a 45 minute drive away so I sent them an email at their customer service center describing what happened...5 days later no reply.
Tried to return it 2 nights ago...15 people in the return/online pickup line with one agent .
Multiple agents in the purchase line.
Just too frustrating so I left.

They were sold out of GPUs because there's no cap on how many one customer can purchase, allowing ethereum miners to buy dozens of GPUs at a time. Garbage policy.

It's always a pleasure to visit this store, I've been visiting that store for years (almost 10 years). It's my favorite store, they always have great prices and sales staff is always there to help you out.

Staff was super helpful. They found everything for me so I didn't have to waste time poking around.

The store was dirty and nothing was in stock. We went right around the holidays, so most likely that was the issue. I'll try again in a month or so.

Best place to buy electronic gadgets. Price is very competitive. You can find all you need to build a high-end Computer and other accessories. But adding a shipping service will be great as they don't have too many stores in Massachusetts.
