HD Buttercup

Had a great experience with the folks at HD Buttercup; Josh was incredibly knowledgable and made the process an easy one. I was able to stay within budget while getting a high quality mattress. Well worth my time on a holiday weekend, only thing I wish I had done differently was start with HD Buttercup instead of shop around.

Terrible customer service. Bad return policy. Won t go back. This store has really declined.

This HD Buttercup has a great selection of fine/costume jewelry. There is not a time that I go in there...that I don't buy at least one piece of jewelry.

This photo doesn't even do it justice. We've now purchased two sofas from HD Buttercup. We just rebuilt our house and this was the first piece of furniture we bought. We have two little boys and we built this custom piece with HD Buttercup so our family could relax together, and luckily the cushion covers are washable too which is a must-have for kids/most people! I highly recommend HD Buttercup and wouldn't go anywhere else for our custom seatkn

purchased a custom sofa from hd in may. I sat with a designer and an hd sales person for almost 2 hours making measurements. I made the purchase in june so the sofa would be ready by oct for our party. In sept I was asked to drive to the warehouse to check out the sofa before delivery. It was made with incorrect measurements. I told the builder and he got the measurement out and realized it was made wrong. The filling was also nothing like the couch we sat on in hd. I told him the cushions were extremely firm. He said he would correct the couch by the weekend.
The weekend came and went. So did the next one. I reached out to coda the company making the sofa...no response.
Finally they responded giving deadlines that came and went. Finally weeks later they said the couch was ready.
I came in and saw all the legs were chipped and broken. The couch was like sitting on concrete and the designer at coda told me they accidentally did a single wrap when it was meant to be a double wrap.
I also noticed the couch had no springs, instead it was webbing, which we did not order. The floor model we liked and used as reference had springs. Coda said they just recently stopped using springs to save on costs. She said the proper cushions that they messed up on will make it feel softer.
We were skeptical this couch was ever going to get made correctly, but agreed to give it another chance. Again weeks go by with many ignored emails. They finally contact us to come in a 3rd time. This time I sat on the couch and Stephanie from Coda looked at me and said "it feels really hard still huh?" I said "yes". She said I thought so too which is why I already ordered you new cushions and they will be here tomorrow. Ummmm..... whaaaattt?! Why did I drive 2 hours round trip when you knew it wasn't up to par. I left and called Hd, my sales rep said we could do an exchange. I came into the store 2 separate times to find a replacement. I finally asked for a refund because now it was November and i didn't trust that the couch would be done. It felt so uncomfortable and cheaply made. I had sold my old sofa and we had gone without one for 4 months.

It is now almost March of the following year and I have made dozens of calls to Hd with no response. No manager has ever contacted us. We have paid 4200.00 for delivery and a sofa they couldn't make right. We are still waiting on a refund and a phone call.

Wide selections of rugs. Friendly staff Esteban was very helpful.

This is a very eclectic shop! We spent a very enjoyable afternoon wandering around browsing all sorts of interesting and visually stimulating objects of decor at this store and we should probably do so again soon.

It can be easy to spend more than anticipated here.

So many options to fit practically any style. Though at their price points taking 20-40% off during sale season doesn't make it any more affordable.

Bought a pair of club chairs. Loved the style but could not get them in leather or faux suede so per our salesman advice we bought them in by-cast leather. The cost of the chairs were almost 1300.00 for the pair. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!!!!! These chairs are junk. They are peeling like a redheaded kids skin after an all day trip to the beach.We called H.D. Buttercup after this started to happen and they told us to email the manager pictures. So we did. Didn't hear back so we called again and talked to the manager. He said there nothing they could do and he was extremely rude. I wouldn't buy a soda in their machine much less anything in their store. If you want to be treated rudely,overpay and get terrible service this is the place for you.

So many one-of-a-kind pieces to choose from. A place that you can spend hours there and not be bored.

Beautiful stuff. Ridiculous prices. They got a ping pong table which I thought was pretty ridiculous.

I LOOOOVE this place. I m an aspiring interior designer and I just love wandering around looking at all the beautiful pieces and getting inspiration. Haven t been to any other home decor place like this one

Not an impressive exterior. But when Robin arrived, I brought in a vanity stool that needed recovering and showed him a photo of the room. He pulled out just two samples of fabric one was good and would have worked, the other was even better. He did a beautiful job. I was very pleased and would certainly use him again.

I was looking for some ideas... what a absolute stunning place for that... amazing collection of a variety of choices to build your house/space...

This place is massive. Wear comfortable sneakers because you'll be here for a while. One thing to note, not everything in the store is owned by HD Buttercup. The lease spaces to different vendors.

Every piece of furniture you could want is in here. Spend hours walking thru.

Lovely, over priced, furniture warehouse. Enormous, with a very modern look.

Sure they're pricier, but the follow-up customer service was great. I had a lamp that the company doesn't even carry anymore that fell over, shattering the glass shade. Not only did they look it up but found a spare part, gave it to me and provided me with the vendor details for the lamp. Eric, the inventory manager is a star!

Purchase with caution. I did not get the furniture I paid for and as I read other reviews on Google and Yelp have learned this is an established trend.

On December 27, 2019, I purchased a sofa for $2137.90. The sofa was delivered without pillows. I have spent the past six weeks trying to get the pillows and HD Buttercup, specifically Mr. Luis Espino, has been unresponsive, unhelpful, and has lied (pretending to send the pillows via FedEx and then not sending them). Similarly to other customers' experiences I was offered "10%" credit, but who wants a sofa without pillows?

Prior to this bad experience, I also ordered two chairs for $2,365.42. HD Buttercup has not delivered them and I have requested a refund and again Mr. Luis Espino is unresponsive.

Calling customer service gets you no where. There is a lovely woman named Eugenia Cobb, but she is unable to locate lost pillows or process refunds.

Today, I finally asked my bank to open an investigation into these two transactions. I would caution against purchasing any furniture from HD Buttercup. While their designs are lovely, their poor customer service and lack of responsibility make them a high risk merchant.

This is a designer's dream, full of furniture and decor from various designers and brands. Truly a Mecca of high end furnishings and tons of inspiration!

HD Buttercup is a classic that puts its own unique spin on mid-century modern and comfortable oh, interesting modern stylings. The design, manufacture, materials anesthetics are impeccable, but this furniture and accessories were meant to be used in life, not as decorations or ornaments. Sofas that back in you to sit down, lie down, relax, slouch, and just get comfortable. Chairs that support you, yet don't encourage you to leave them anytime soon. An enormous number of natural elements crafted into shapes, sizes, and varieties the constantly Inspire the imagination. The HD Buttercup showroom is a feast for the eyes. Each area meticulously arranged to stimulate the imagination and create an environment that feels like home. There isn't an inch of this store, and it is huge, that doesn't somehow make you want to spend the night. Always changing, but always consistently magical, HD Buttercup has become a Venice Boulevard / Los Angeles institution of sophistication, style, design and comfort.

Wow this place is quite pricey compared to ikea but the quality of bedframes are amazinggggg. I was surprised it was three stories! Ikea and Crate & Barrel cannot compare to the selection/material at HD Buttercup.

Terrible customer service. They actually said they "don't claim the furniture is good quality"! They actually admit to this when you have a problem. Oh ya, and the table we bought from them collapsed on my pregnant wife, who had to go to the emergency room and miss work.

Really big furniture store. All kinds of furniture. Mainly sofa, chairs, rugs, tables. Quite a variety. Everyone eager to help. It takes awhile to go through this store. Some parking outside. Most of furniture contemporary although some really neat wooden furniture and some very modern.

Bed frame and mattress fit well for us and great quality for three years. Good customer service!

I was beyond thrilled with my sofa and it's taken too long for me to write the review.
They worked with me and gave me the most comfortable sofa. I would advise anyone to spend the extra and go for the foam wrapped with down cushions. I copied a higher end sofa exactly and it was half the price and delivered in just over a well not the three month lead time plus it's made in LA!

We had the best experience here. We bought our media center qnd dining table for a reasonable price. All of the pieces were in perfect condition. The owner went above and beyond to help us get what we wanted with the budget we had. We highly recommend this place!

my girlfriend loves to stop by here and peruse the timothy oulton section. massive selection of various types of furniture. rugs, lamps, it's all a bit much for someone like me, frankly, as i have a peripheral interest in furniture at best. if you, on the other hand, really enjoy furniture, i don't imagine you'll regret a stop here.

David were very professional and were extremely careful moving the furniture into my home. The furniture looks great and I highly recommend HD Buttercup.

Love HD Buttercup. Was looking for a very deep, rich yellow couch with minimal cushions. Couldn't find it anywhere - online or in store. Went to HD Buttercup and they were accommodating, helpful, and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Delivery was fast and we got our couch in 2 weeks. Couldn't ask for a better experience!

I've been there several times but never saw anything worth getting.

Prices are too high, even with some of the sales. I understand some prices are negotiable, but I hate that and would prefer not to haggle.

The furniture is also poorly staged so it's hard to get a sense of how it would or could look in your home. Everything is pretty disjointed.

I understand that some people like HD Buttercup, but I'm not a fan. The test should be if you find anything actually worth getting. I've been there maybe 5 times, hoping to buy something, but come away empty handed each time.

Various furniture is displayed in a very large store, and 5 ~ 6 different shops are gathered together to form a furniture shopping mall, making it a good choice for comparison.

Original furniture for great prices, I bought two chairs and two couches (among other things) here and love them!

This place is incredible. A few years ago I bought a couch for a great price at 6:00 on a Thursday and they delivered it that night. Last week I got a high quality couch, dresser, chair, ottoman, entertainment center, and 2 bar stools all for $1900. Matt was super nice and helpful and victor is always great. If you live in any of the 5 boroughs, go to victors.

Massive selection of home furnishings and rugs in all styles. Well made and reasonably priced for the quality. There are also three more furniture stores in this old Helms bakery complex, so there's a ton of choice. Cool lighting and accessories, helpful staff. A fun place to browse.

I love this place for cheap furniture. I got a beautiful but very slightly damaged nightstand. Seriously, check here before you venture to the more expensive places and at least half the time, you'll end up getting your best buy here.

Worst furniture place ever. They never pick up the phone. After you go in person to schedule delivery for something you bought long ago they give you wrong info, you wait all day at home for nothing. You call back angry, after 20 attempts they pick up asking why you're screaming. At last... Delivered. But it's not over - beat up display table all scratched and chipped instead of new. You wonder why paid $1500 for a worn out used dining table when expected new. You now worry how to exchange if ever gonna make it. Money down the toilet. Worst place ever!!

WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER. BEWARE! Once they get your money for the lovely and very expensive furniture, hope that there are no problems with delivery (there will be) because you are DEAD to them. Eugenia; customer service at the Helms location: USELESS. The store manager will NOT return my calls and while my sales person is a cool dude, it's not his responsibility to coordinate delivery! Terrible terrible experience. I won't recommend this place to anyone.

I wanted to check out their selection and I got there about 10 minutes before the advertised closing time (7 PM on Fridays). I was told the store was 'closed' although the main entrance was still open. In other words, I wasn't allowed to explore for the 10 minutes I had.

No problem. There are at least FOUR other furniture stores RIGHT next to this one, and I gladly took my business there.

Horrendous service here, and from what I could tell, pretty standard items that can easily be found at the stores in the same vicinity (you won't even have to park elsewhere, they're all in the same block).

Spent $6k on some furniture from their Black Friday sale. We're now 2+ weeks into the purchase and are STILL waiting to complete fulfillment. A desk arrived (which was defective and missing parts) had cannot seem to get a commitment for a replacement from their Customer Service team. We've also been sitting on 1/2 of a sectional couch since it took HDB another full week to get back to us regarding a "hoist" (aka, more delivery guys to come and lift the furniture). We're being asked to pay a supplemental $400-500 fee to complete the fulfillment. Whole experience is unreal ... and made worse by the fact that it takes DAYS to get a simple email reply addressing (if you're lucky) 1/3 of your questions.

Love the in-store experience and of course their stuff is very nice. But... everything "post-sale" appears to be horribly broken. Hitting "post" on this from 1/2 of a couch ... since the desk 'ain't quite working. Fun!

Paul is great guy. Works with your budget and always delivers on his promises. Got a mattress, box spring and bed frame for a great deal that included same day delivery/installation. I will definitely be back when I get more furniture for my apartment.

2 of 6 dining chairs we purchased at HD Buttercup were defective. Customer Service is non-existent. Tried calling right away to exchange the defective chairs but nobody picks up phone and if they do after many, many tries, they just say they call back, but never do. They refer to an online return website, but that does not work either. We have gone back twice in person to the store, but nobody wants to handle a return and they keep giving us different excuses every time. It's now been six weeks of trying to exchange the defective chairs. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone at this store!

The quality, workmanship and designs here are unparalleled. I can't even get into it, but let's say I'm like a kid in a candy store when I visit.

Horrible customer service !!!! Nobody ever answers the phone. If the sale is done the sales manager doesnt want to deal with anything. I've been waiting for replacement of a chair over 9 months by now and no result. And we BOUGHT a LOT of furniture.
