Although the hotel is clean, the price does not compensate with the service compared to other hotels that give breakfast for a lower price. They do not even put bottled water. It does not have an oven or coffee maker. It does not have parking.
Hotel was quite nice however rooms were a little dated. We requested two rooms to be interconnecting when we booked 6 months or more in advance and were told upon our arrival that they weren't available. A little disappointing but our stay however was comfortable and the location was great with a ...
Decent but relatively small room with queen bed. Asked for extra bed which was delivered promptly. Took the whole entrance as well as the access to the bathroom but surprisingly comfy. For the price we paid it was good. Quiet, clean, visibly renovated.
hotel was convenient and had a modern look/feel. however, the walls are paper thin and could hear the neighbors talking & TV blasting. called the front desk to tell them to turn it down at 3AM, but nothing happened. ended up having to pound on the door several times throughout my week stay to tell ...
Scheduled a late reservation over the phone, and once I arrived to the hotel the front dest could not find my reservation. After 15 minutes of confusion they finally said they had a room available for me. But the front desk told me the complete opposite of what I was told over the phone when making ...
The location was perfect. The rooms were nice and spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had an issue with our shower around 1am, and the hotel was able to accommodate us by providing us with a new room. Despite this mishap the overall stay was pleasant.
Probably the least friendly staff out of my stays in NY so far. No fridge or microwave in the room. Showerhead was covered with build-up. Definitely time for TV upgrades at this property.
The location is great. Right next to the metro and only about a 15-20 minute walk away from Broadway and Times Square. 4/5 stars because the hotel is a little outdated and could use a facelift. Other than that, a very pleasant stay.
Lovely stay at the Double Tree! The staff was friendly, the cookies were tasty. Only downfall - no air conditioning in the winter time so the rooms get stuffy pretty quickly.
Very rude front desk person. We checked in just 5 mins before 3pm and she was very rude asking us to wait till 3 pm. There is no drinking water, coffee maker or breakfast. There are much better options around NYC.
Mid market hotel with a good location on Lexington avenue. Good Aircon and windows open also for fresh air. No fridge or tea/coffee machines in the room. Room lighting could be better....no spot lights if reading in bed. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable with four pillows. TV didn't work ...
This hotel would have received a 1 star but its fantastic location right next to the subway on 51st and Lexington is its saving grace. I stayed in two different rooms. The first one had windows against the back of a building about a few inches away, so there wasn't any view.
The lobby, dining area, and bar were all clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room, not so much. But it s the City, all you really need your room for is a place to catch some zzzzs.
Rooms are decently clean but it's definitely an older hotel. WiFi is only free in the lobby - cost $15 in room which is ridiculous. t's about a 10 min walk from times square so it's a pretty decent location for the price. They will hold your luggage with the bellhop for $2 per bag if you arrive too...
Not too far from everything, but not in the heart, just about enough walking distance from everything. And to have a nice big room in downtiwn NYC was great! Would definitely stay here again. Staff were amazing.
Give you a welcome cookie (not that great -- but it depends on your palet) First time in new york, my boyfriend and i pick a hilton. I'm a HHonors, i love hilton, it's never let me down. First lady was kinda nice, kinda rude. Second lady was HELLA rude how does she still work there, third lady was a...
Bed was mediocre and so was the service. The room was a good size. The cleaning staff could have done a little bit better at cleaning the room since there was trash left in between my night stand and bed. Location is good and you get free cookies from the front desk.
We felt so welcomed in this beautiful hotel. Everyone was exceptionally polite, rooms were clean, bed was comfy, bar was relaxing, and we were very happy with our stay!
Rooms smell like urine. Wall and door paint are peeling. Mold in showers. Friendly staff. Over priced breakfast. Don't waste your money at this location. Management is poor and can't accommodate any requests. Several people are complaining about check in process and room cleanliness. I will not retu...
Unorganized staff I got different story. Did not get my Hilton honors points. As Hilton gold honors got Free breakfast in every Hilton hotel except on this hotel.
The room was dirty and the bathroom smelled like it had never been cleaned before. The doors were coming apart and the bed was miserably uncomfortable.
One of my favorite hotels in NYC. Very centrally located to all the tourist attractions. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The warm cookies at night is a nice touch.
Horrible experience with the staff. Unable to complete the most basic tasks without resistance every step of the way. Cannot EVER recommend this place. I would not send my worst enemies to the DoubleTree. One star.
Needs work. Peeling everywhere. Put me in a handicapped room although I checked in online and chose my room. Switched rooms a day later. Door slamming is a thing at DT. All chipped and cracked. You get what you pay for, although its part of the Hilton brand.
Great hotel! It is located in a central location and right near subway tunnel. The rooms are nice along with the amenities! Will plan to stay here again in the future!
The first night we heard what sounded like furniture being moved with clunking and banging. We asked for a new room but they were full. The second night it was worse. We called down and they told us engineering would take a look. No luck sleeping on this trip.. plus it wasnt a regular queen bed. H...
It's in NYC, in a fairly desirable area. That's what it has going for it. Room was small, but not too dirty. Bathroom was a wreck, but it had a working toilet and shower. Some staff was nice, other could careless about their jobs or why anyone was here.
1st of all fyi hidden fee u will get charged an additional 100$ on top of what u already payed for a workout room u might or might not use. Ow and is 15 dollars a day for wifi in ur room. Also rooms are kind of janky. But they are clean and comfy and decent amount of space. But also tv loses signal...
The place is ok. The guy at the front desk laughed at me because I did a couple of questions and then made expressions because I reserved through Expedia (which I have no idea why) the rooms are fine and the location is good. I also needed to get something from my car and they didn t allow me to do ...
Speedy service at the desk checking in and out (even got to check in earlier than my time). Great convenience store and bar service. No one bothered me while I was in the room. Overall great experience.
