This hotel would have received a 1 star but its fantastic location right next to the subway on 51st and Lexington is its saving grace. I stayed in two different rooms. The first one had windows against the back of a building about a few inches away, so there wasn't any view.

I moved to a room with street view and while that was better, the room itself was really worn down. The bottom of the doors were crusty and the paint coming off. Changing the temperature never actually changed the temperature so you have to open the window to cool the room.

The room had no mini fridge, microwave, or electric kettle/coffee maker. They did send small fridge and microwave after requesting, but those were really dirty and old. This is a valid complaint since I've stated at the Lexington and Marriott for similar rates close by and they didn't have any of these problems.

Room service was almost non existent and they usually needed 2 or 3 phone calls to fulfill a request because they kept forgetting or staff had other duties to attend to.

Otherwise, hotel's in a fantastic location.
