I experienced terrible customer service in the food service area. While order food I was told a certain amount, after leaving the hotel and reaching my destination I realized I didn't receive the amount requested. I called the hotel and they redirected me to the kitchen. The young lady was rude, she did admit the number of items I ordered was wrong, I should have received more (which was a whole different number from the original number). She then continued to tell me they didn't have a gentleman working their by the description I gave her and hung up the phone. Ultimately, I ended up driving back up there to speak to the gentleman who helped me, he apologized and goes to the back to make more. While waiting the manage comes out very defensive, telling me I'm wrong and the worker told him he told the correct number. I try to explain to him that wasn't what was stated, I also called and was told a different number from a young lady I spoke with. She also stated they didn't have anyone working there that fit the description, and hung up on me. He tells me if I'm not able to give him the name of the person I spoke with than there isn't much he can do for me. I continued to tell him the lady hung up on me, so I don't know her name, this is why I drove over here. He stands there and tells me he can sell me some individually. The reasoning behind the rating two is because this is a portion of the hotel, it may not reflect its entirety, and while the manger is being defensive and argumentative the gentleman who helped me from the beginning ended up coming out giving me the correct amount that I asked for originally.

Great Hotel in the old Stapleton airport area. Nice amenities including Lobby bar, restaurant and all day coffee shop. Decent gym, pool and outdoor hot tub. Plenty of shops and restaurants to walk to or shuttle will run you over. Very clean, but entire hotel could use an update.

Very nice hotel. The employees were really helpful. My wife and I wanted to know of a good place to eat, and one guy asked what we were looking for, gave us our options, helped us find out which one was the one for us, then called the place and set up a reservation for us. He even gave us a card that would get us seated ahead of others! The chocolate chip cookies that you can get anytime (day or night) were awesome. Really good stay. Would stay here again if I'm back in Denver.

The TV is nice and really big. The room is dated. I finished my business trip a day early and called the front desk to tell them I would be checking out in the morning - one day early and they told me that they will be charging me an early departure fee of one night plus tax. Be warned. In my 35 years of business travel I've never been charged for checking out early. I'll never stay at a Hilton property again.

After accidentally booking the hotel I ended up meeting Michael and he took care of everything from the start and after 7 days of work in a row this man had some amazing energy and positive vibes. If it wasn t for the area I would definitely come back. Still has nice views, just a little to much foot traffic for my liking.

The maids really had no respect for the do not disturb sign on the door they still try to enter regardless. It took me 3 days to get service for my room and i asked for a specified time because i was here on business. They still tried to come in like normal routine instead of time i scheduled and they have a list as well they usually DONT follow. The gym is small which makes no sense considering the large sizes of conference rooms they have seems like wasted space with them. The pool needs to be resurfaced and clean as well.

Let me say Ann the front desk supervisor was awesome! She offered us cookies with nuts but when I mentioned my son's nut allergy and we were given a nut free cookie. When we come back into the hotel with our stuff Ann called us across the atrium and offered my 2 year old a stuff animal. That made us feel very welcomed. The room was very comfortable and we were given a choice of floors. We enjoyed our stay!

Arrived to check in on time, walked into a line almost out the door. After waiting in line I was then told, it would be another 15-30 minute wait before our rooms were ready. Like most people in line, we had an event to get to. I think many steps could have been taken to prevent the wait, and line. For the price of the room, I am very disappointed, will not recommend, or return.

We stayed at the DoubleDree in Denver for 3 nights and had a comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly when we checked in, greeting us with the famous chocolate chip cookies and welcoming us to the hotel. The lobby area has a lodge type feeling. There are computers throughout which make airline check in and boarding pass printing a very easy seamless experience. The hotel itself is very big with many conference rooms and even its own parking garage. We have Hilton Gold status, so were able to get the free breakfast buffet while we were there. While, the breakfast options got tiring on the third day it was an overall good breakfast. Make your own omelets, make your own waffles, yogurt, granola, fruit, muffins, cereal selection. The rooms were very average, we were told we were upgraded to a recently renovated room, but there was really no way to tell. Overall had a good experience, but we will likely stay closer to downtown next time we make it out to Denver.

I love Double Tree by Holton because it is amusing Woking over there. This Hotel gives more benefits to his employees than any place that I know. I really like this place no only because of it beautiful beauty, but because they are treating all the guests with biggest respect. If you want to be happy, don't ask where to go. Just go at Double Tree by Holton because you will get back home with a smiling face.

We haven't finished the first evening yet and unfortunately I'm giving this place 1 star based on what's expected for $150 two bed w breakfast not in the city core. My wife's primary concern is cleanliness at any hotel - the rooms do not appear up to expectation. Worn carpet, scuffed up walls, dim hallways, sheets (probably fuzz from other laundry but perception is important, but there was a lot of "fuzzies" on the sheets). Not good for me when she is bummed about a hotel and she has good reason to be.

Attended a very large professional development conference here, and the staff was amazing in bringing in more chairs as we needed them, they kept the water stocked and cold and kept the restrooms clean and stocked. We had 1100 people in attendance. Huge thank you to the staff!! Gave a 4 because parking was really tough.

Reserved a nice room. Got to the place and waited 20 minutes just to be told they gave my room away because apparently this is an auction house and the highest bidder gets whatever room they want. They tried to make up for it and gave us 2 joined rooms but when we got to the rooms neither of the doors opened to our keys and people were already inside of them. Went back downstairs just to wait another 20 minutes and be given a tiny basic room. Only reason it doesn t get a 1 star is because the view was half decent.

BED BUG ALERT!! (See pictures for proof)
I stayed here from February 2, 2019 to February 5, 2019.

1st NIGHT - BED BUGS (1st move): I wake up at about 1am to a bed bug biting me right behind my ear! I didn't realize it at first until I reached behind my ear and felt something moving. I jumped up and noticed a critter moving across the mattress. I immediately grabbed a tissue and killed it (see picture for the dead bed bug). I didn't know what a bed bug was until I searched online and saw that it was identical to what I just killed and that when you kill them it leaves a blood smear. I called management and they moved me right away into another room. They offered to heat treat my clothing and I gave them everything because I did not want to bring any uninvited guest into my home!

2nd NIGHT - PLUMBING ISSUES: Second night in a new room. I went to take a shower and the tub was not draining properly, so I ended my shower early because it was not draining. I contacted management again and they offered to move me again into another room. Unfortunately, they attempted to move me into a nearby room where the bed bugs were found. I learned that bed bugs spread easily via carpeting, bedding, and foot traffic, so I did not want to be on the same floor and run the risk of bringing bed bugs home with me. They eventually moved me into another floor. Going on to second move and having to pack everything up again!

3rd night - PLUMBING ISSUES AGAIN: After a long day, I come back to my room to take a shower and I was just in disbelief! I started taking a shower and the water was not draining again! This time, it was so clogged that I could not finish taking a shower. They called a maintenance tech and he had to remove the drain to get the water to go back down. I had to sit there and wait until they fixed it to finish taking a shower. After that ordeal, I jump into bed to relax after a long day and now the TV was not working! I had to call them again and have another tech come to address the issue with the TV.

Finally, by 1AM, I was able to settle in...so much for a restful and relaxing stay at a hotel!

Overall, I spent most of my time in the hotel dealing with management, worried about bed bugs, taking half showers, and calling for repairs. I was in the middle of interviewing for fellowships and spent most of my time worried about my stay instead of preparing for my interviews. This is simply unacceptable and very disappointing. I did not expect this from a Hilton property. Please don't make the same mistake that I made.

Management rewarded me some points to make up for the issues, but come to find out the points awarded were only good for about a 1 night stay. I called back to attempt to get more points to make up for issues and I spent most of my time arguing with the manager about the points awarded. They finally transferred me to another person and advised that they will ask for a point increase. It is unclear if those points will ever be awarded at this point. I don't think that measures up to the level of inconvenience, mental stress, and health scare that I experienced during my stay. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

Thank You Very Much

Very outdated and disappointing. The bar and restaurant staff are not so pleasant. The pool area is in urgent need of repairs and upgrades. The rooms are very very disappointing with peeling wallpaper, windows have rust around seals, outdated furniture and bathrooms. I would not recommend staying here if you are used to nice and quality. Should 2 stars not 3.5
