Utterly appalling. Their service was terrible from start to finish. They were incredibly slow, didn't reply to emails and then told me 2 days before we exchanged that they needed several documents otherwise they couldn't exchange, incredibly stressful for me.
Also when they had to transfer funds to me after completion, it took over 5 weeks for them to send out a cheque. It was clear that if I hadn't kept chasing this up, they would have kept this money.
I would never recommend this firm to anyone.

Very disappointing. Where do I start! Used CH to sell our mums house after her passing away. As you can imagine this is a Very difficult time but CH did nothing to make it go smoothly. They even prepared contracts selling the house we live and rent instead of my mums address. Staff were condescending and rude at times and I would not recommend them to anyone

Shared Ownership Purchase

It took over 17 weeks to complete my transaction. It was for the outright purchase of the remaining 50% of my Shared Ownership flat, of which I already owned the first 50%.
It was a straightforward cash purchase between me and the owners with no mortgage or loans involved.
After many times chasing this I eventually wrote a letter of complaint.
The reply I received gave a stock reply about how the delays were firmly with someone else, offered no apology and as a client I was shocked to read the statement, and I quote,
If you feel that we are not acting in your best interests, then we would suggest you appoint an alternative solicitor .
Disgraceful customer service.

Phew, buying and selling houses can be a stressful business! Luckily I had Cozens Hardy in my corner who were brilliant and kept on top of things throughout. I highly recommend them and often do.

Professional negligence doesn't even come close. Worst firm EVER! Avoid like the plague.

Would not reccomended nor use again. The solicitor I had often didn't respond to emails, did not keep me informed along the process, which left me worried and often concerned. I was very disappointed. A shame as they were recommended to me and seem to have some good reviews, perhaps I was unlucky with who I had? I can only speak as I find.

Please avoid this firm of solicitors like the plague. They treated close members of my family terribly. I also feel they were manipulative, asking them to sign documentation without reading through.

We are absolutely disgusted. Also, they are yet to provide a breakdown of costs.

This review pertains to the conveyancing aspect of their services. I have used this firm in respect of family law, disputes and will service which were all good. However, their conveyancing service is amateurish. Not checking their work, forms submitted from other parties, using a calculator seems to be a challenge other than for their own bill. I doubt I will ever move again, but if I do this firm will not be asked to do the job.

I have used cozens hardy for many years now and they have always performed above and beyond my expectations. Leanne and Autumn worked on my most recent house purchase/sale and they were the solicitor in the chain that were actually acting on anything. They did a terrific job and are a credit to the company. Really good hassle free service when completing the purchase of our property. Being our first property and not really knowing everything, they were extremely helpful and made the process simple. The process was quick and efficient and was all completed start to finish within a month. Would highly recommend!
