It took over 17 weeks to complete my transaction. It was for the outright purchase of the remaining 50% of my Shared Ownership flat, of which I already owned the first 50%.
It was a straightforward cash purchase between me and the owners with no mortgage or loans involved.
After many times chasing this I eventually wrote a letter of complaint.
The reply I received gave a stock reply about how the delays were firmly with someone else, offered no apology and as a client I was shocked to read the statement, and I quote,
If you feel that we are not acting in your best interests, then we would suggest you appoint an alternative solicitor .
Disgraceful customer service.
