Last week's dinner was a 5-star experience (I believe our server then was named Jamie). We returned with friends this week and our server, Matt, provided literally the most miserable and hostile "hospitality" experience of my life from start to finish. He was so absurdly rude that I lost my appetite...
We've been to Cherry Circle Room and always had an amazing experience. This time was no different. We celebrated our anniversary here and it was amazing. They customized our experience and made excellent recommendations. The team at CCR was so kind and welcoming; every one wished us a happy annivers...
I felt like I walked into a different world. If Hitchcock was around he might have used this place in a movie. We tried some small plates and had some drinks at the bar. Beautiful atmosphere, great service, good drinks.
Ate here in October for a girlfriends birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. The manager Josh made sure our time at Cherry Circle Room was exceptional. Everyone there went above and beyond. Our food and beverages were delicious and the height of perfection. Will absolutely be back next time I am ...
Amazing ambience, really delicious food (our group basically had a little of almost everything, including a variety of desserts & it was all drool-worthy) and the service is excellent.
The service and food was amazing! If you're looking to treat yourself, the dry aged steak is one of the best steaks I've ever had. The atmosphere was like a classic steak house, but modernized and welcoming.
Tucked in a corner of the game room, CCR offers a delicious array with fine attention to detail. I appreciated that they recognized my note for a birthday celebration and started with a Prosecco toast. Parker house rolls were good but probably not worth $8. Sturgeon was a wonderfully prepared, meaty...
Our expectations were pumped up a little too high, I think. The service was sub-par for this expensive of a meal and the food was remarkably forgettable. The ambiance is gorgeous and all the small touches like unique napkins and plateware is really cool. Sadly, the food was not worth going back for....
Went to the Cherry Circle Room in the Chicago Athletic Association for a business meeting. I liked the large, spacious atmosphere, and that is was low key/quiet.
Waitress was attentive. I had the Open Faced Fried Egg and Ham Sandwich from their brunch menu along with a Cold Brew Coffee, and both...
Good drinks, great appetizers. Kinda hard to read menu cuz it's dark. Bartender was argumentative when I told him the ice cream in my drink seemed less than fresh
I love the lounge out front, the game room is cool if you want to hang out and play a bit and the dining room is nice. The dining room reminds me a bit of a sports book only without all the screens. Food was good but I thought the descriptions we're better.
Everything in the Chicago athletic hotel is gorgeous architecturally, cherry circle room included. A little hard to find, but love how cozy and tucked away it was. I don't think there is good ventilation in here because at the time we sat down it reaked of fish. We didn't let it deter us though. Foo...
Amazing brunch meal. The smoked sturgeon Benedict and the braised pork belly were phenomenal. We love coming here for dinner, but I think brunch will be happening more often.
I've been twice here for lunch. Both times the food and drink quality was on point. Atmosphere is classy and cozy. Edit: have return many more times since, and still top quality!
Always outstanding. This is an intimate, upscale restaurant. There are maybe 20 tables plus the bar, so reservations are highly recommended. The lighting is dim, but you can see without straining and the walls and ceiling have wood paneling. They have a changing and avant garde menu in both substanc...
Drinks and food are great. Be sure to pronounce all drinks and menu items correctly or you risk quite the dirty look from the bartender. Dress fancy, or you will be treated poorly / despite the fact that you always tip well. Classic Chicago snobbibess/rudeness perfectly exhibited here- up to you to ...
This is the best spot in the loop that I have found so far. The chicago athletic club is a treasure trove of gems. The Cherry Circle Room (CCR) is wrongly over shadowed by the rooftop bar overhead. CCR is an incredible little spot that should be on anyone's list whether they are visiting or a local....
One needs to stick to the menu (no special request). Staf is ok, but not great in terms of service. Food is good, but not stellar. The bar on the other hand is great!
Good food, beautiful room, friendly servers. Service was less than attentive for an upscale restaurant. A lot of bodies standing around while we waited for service.
Very interesting room. Getting there was a confusing maze. But not in a bad way. You have to work your way through a lot of stuff and it's all stimulating, like the game room. Yhe food was solid. I'd go more often if I still worked downtown.
Great food and staff! Each dish has a unique flavor combination. We really loved the squash ravioli and the French onion soup. Cocktails were great as well. A pricey place but the food was well worth it!
Great ambiance but the food... not so much. The food was just ok. Maybe it was just me, but I swear there were hints of Masonic influence and I really enjoyed that! Maybe it was just the cryptic embroidery of the dinner napkins?
It is quite difficult to find the place. There were not many options for food. What we have tried with lamb sausage was ok. I guess I was expecting more after trying so hard to find this restaurant :) a lot of stairs and turns!
Wonderful dinner post ballet - food was fantastic- service was very friendly attentive but not overbearing- just right - atmosphere is cozy and unique- only oddity was the music - didn t fit with the vibe of the restaurant- still the cherry circle room is a hidden gem that I am glad to have discover...
Absolutely incredible service and atmosphere. Dark, but cozy. It's got a kinda "this might be a secret illumanti meeting space" vibe (lots of art with symbolism around the room). Our waiter graciously answered all our curious questions. Apparently it used to be a men's club for the wealthy, so they ...
Super chill atmosphere, wonderful drink selection, great bar staff. A very nice place for a quiet, out of the way evening. This place is an absolutely hidden gem
Lovely place at the back of the second floor past lobby and game room. Next to the elevators. They really take care to make special occasion special. I had a birthday dinner and anniversary celebration here and every time the hosts and wait staff welcomed and congratulated us. Food is bit pricy but ...
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Highly recommend the Foie, Lobster Bisque and Chateaubriand. The cocktails were excellent. The Cherry Circle Room is a hidden gem!!!
If you ever need a nice place that isn't overcrowded to have lunch, please look no further. I was impressed with their wide selection of spirits. The food was full of flavor and the portion size was just right. It is a tad but pricey however I feel for the service that received it's totally worth it...
The ambiance is out of this world. I had halibut and it was phenomenal.steaks were good. The service was fast friendly and knowledgable..high end and pricey.but well worth it
Staff was great. The salad was overwhelming in flavor, the 1st wine had 5 floaters in it, the 2nd wine should have been classified as a dessert wine it was so sweet, the meal was luke-warm, and the creme brulee had raw sugar on it. For $200, the meal should have been spot on.
Everything we had from the cocktails to the main dishes were all quite tasty. Interesting flavors. Only negative is the setting is very dark (but they had flashlights). Enjoyable evening great service.
Very perfect dinner here. Food was really good. Special award to my cavatellis with tongue and sunchoke. A very impressive wine list, though mostly on a price range I don t go into, ended up with an amazing simple burgundy from Lignier-michelot for 60$, a rare thing... the design of the place is bea...
