Be careful beginners when you try the green zone in Castle mountain. It is actually a blue zone!!! Nominal green zone to me. It was extremely dangerous for us to come down from the hill.

My friends and I went to Castle mountain resort for skiing. We had plan to use only green zone since we all ar...

Didn't like any of the runs off of the blue chair, but if you take the red chair up there are some amazing runs. We had untouched knee deep powder in the upper bowls. They really should put some more work into maintaining and improving the mountain though. They haven't put any snow fences up causing...

It's a decent resort. There's no cell service. We used walkie talkies. There is wifi. They have a separate ticket fee if you only want to use the huckleberry chair, it's about half price.
They have some microwaves and a few lunch tables in the lower floor of the lodge. Fantastic.
My only complaint...

A good hill to go on for a day. The inside areas are as clean as you would expect. The rentals are very well maintained and a nice fitting area. Food is pretty good although pricey (like every ski resort). The hills were well maintained and marked. Everything was a good experience. I gave it 4 becau...

A good little ski hill with a surprising amount of runs for only 3 chairlifts (not including the bunny hill.) Its great for the price and way less busy then fernie or banff. But watch out for rocks! We haven't had enough snow this year. Thank God for fake snow.

Had a wonderful day skiing at Castle Mountain. We loved the low key environment, very chill and relaxed unlike many of the other ski places in Alberta. No line ups (visited on a weekday), and a delicious poutine and beer at the lodge!

Staff scanning your pass at the lifts were all so friendly!

Every other ski hill I ve been too is very accommodating to keeping their guest warm and allowing them to bring stuff from home to do so. But not castle. Basically if you can t afford to eat at castle you re not allowed to stay warm as they will not let you warm up inside or heat your food up inside...

Despite Great effort (and success) to make it a family friendly mountain, the truth is its still a "skiers/riders mountain" where the top end snow sports enthusiast (what we used to call the "expert skier") will get the best experience for the money spent. Most people have to pay for a heli adve...

A hidden gem! Great runs for all levels. Snow conditions were awesome. This was my first time at this resort and amazed to see the ski in-ski out lodge around this area. Next time, staying for sure! Make sure to plan ahead as they sell out easily.
Great Blue runs for people transitioning.

One of the best ski resorts I have been to. Awesome terrain when they get some snow. Reasonable ticket prices. Usually the lift line waits are very short (5 minutes or less). There's something for everyone at Castle, groomers, steeps, glades, you name it!

Went here a week ago & it ROCKED! Everyone wore masks which made it safe & tbh (to be honest) a little warmer too. Always a blast at Castle. The only sad thing was the burger made me sick the same night, make sure the meat is cooked!

Great ski resort. As we were waiting in line on a busy day to ski the owner (or a manager not sure) was handing out maps and chatting with people about the best places to ski on the hill that day and making sure everyone knew where they were going. For my first time at this resort it was nice to not...

Great Hill, Awesome service. My son had 2 leftover passes from last year that he couldn't use because they shut down early due to snow issues. Called today and they will honor them this year!! I'm pretty sure they are not legally obligated but they made a 13 year old boy happy!! Incredible snow ...

During our stay we had excellent snowfall, and the mountain itself is well maintained. The primary downfall with Castle Mountain resort is the lack of any quality in all of their amenities. The pub/restaurant is tiny, and the service there is inexcusably horrible. We sat down and were attended to on...

No frills, hostel/hotel. Kind of serve yourself attitude, which in the summer, when you want to get away and just lay in bed or go for a nice walk, it's just right. However, the pub is terrible for food, and there is nothing else there so pack meals :) or go into Beaver Mines general store for some ...

Ski resort was great the hill and snow is in great condition and they received lots of snow this season. Not so busy and a smaller hill which is nice.
