Staying for two nights. Having dinner on the second night, Tyax informed us the water system totally failed. No spare parts, no backup, no secondary system. No showers, no bathrooms facilities, etc. Cash registers worked ok, as they charged us the full rate! Upon contacting Tyax Management upon returning home, Tyax offered a complimentary one night stay, knowing very well we would not utilize same as the lodge is a nine plus hour drive and ferry trip from our home (each way). Even if it was next door we would not return. An actual embarrassment for Canada as foreign tourists staying were not at all impressed.

The camping, restaurant, and grounds are open. The food and service was incredibly good. At present (July 2020) social distancing and careful cleaning are in place. We just stopped in for a bite to eat and it was a gem in the wilds.

There for a short summer get away. Love the relaxed environment. It is quite a trek to get there as you have to drive on Forrest service roads but it is sooo worth it. I cannot believe such incredible food can be found in such a remote place. It is better than some of the finest Vancouver restaurants. Think Hawksworth, Farmer's Apprentice...

Dear reader, if you are reading this then you are considering staying at Tyax Lodge. Please walk away from my words and immediately contact the Lodge to make a reservation. Then come back. Thank me later. Our family of three stayed at Tyax Lodge for three nights in July 2018 at the Lynx Cabin. From the warm greeting to our departure we could not have been happier. The level of service was A+ every day. The lake itself is beautiful and calm. We used the complementary kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast, lunches and dinners at the lodge. The food was delicious, well priced and presented with the same excellent service we experienced elsewhere. The staff were friendly and interesting. We took time to chat with many of them as each team member had thoughtful tips for our time at Tyax. As we were packing our car to drive home my son said "can we come back again soon?" I felt the same way.

Spectacular setting and a gorgeous property. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The dinner at the restaurant was very nice. Just one negative... the continental breakfast is poor to say the least. Some slices of bread to toast and three cereal options. No drip coffee, no juice, all cost extra.

Great lodge in a very secluded location. Arriving on Gravelroads and Narrowroads a bit exhausting. But it's worth it. Definitely book room with lake view. And as a highlight make a flight to the glacier with Tyax Adventure. Terrific.

Lovely place to be... The rooms are clean and comfortable. The people here warmly welcomed us and treated us very well. The Spa area is nice and the hop tub outside I definetly can recommend. The only thing is, that a chill area inside is missing. But our stay was really awesome.

Planned a day trip from pemberton to have lunch here....worth it! What a great setting. Kids had a good time and the food was delicious. Want to try camping there next. Very friendly waitress from Winnipeg there...didn't get her name, but she was very good.

After a very, very adventurous journey, which in my opinion is impossible without four-wheel drive, we reached the Tyax Lodge after about six hours (from Clearwater). The lodge is in the middle of nowhere and the sight of this imposing log cabin promises absolute relaxation. The view of the lake is breathtaking. Absolutely a room with lake view book. Everything is super clean, the facilities good, the service incredibly friendly and the food - no matter if 'breakfast' or 'dinner' - absolutely recommendable. If you are looking for peace and relaxation in beautiful nature and the exciting journey is not afraid, here is perfect.

Location is amazing if you love the outdoors as you have quick access to alpine trails. The drive out Pemberton through 99 then along Lake Carpenter is long but great views through mountain passes. The resort amenities are good with hot tub and sauna (requires maintenance] as well as kayak, canoe, and fishing equipment access. There's a fun dining and bar area although food is sub-par for the price. For a place in the middle of no where I think that the costs suit but expect an expensive stay. I recommend this and would go again.

The place is amazing! Service and food top notch!! We came for heliboarding. The best experience in the world. The guides and the helicopters service is the best out there!!! We will definitely return here! I am still smiling

Nice hotel located on the edge of a lake. In the evening it is also possible to have a nice meal in the restaurant. The only point of criticism: the road to it is partly unpaved (we are talking about tens of kilometers of unpaved roads). But that is also quite feasible (we drove a VW Jetta).

Just spent 4 nights at Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing. What an awesome summer family experience. 2 nights camping, 2 nights lodge life. Fantastic. Tried it all except we ran out of time to do the flightseeing over the mountains which would have been amazing I m sure. Thanks so much Tyax. We ll be back.

We camped here for 3 nights in July while biking the chilcotins. The campsite is gorgeously situated on the lake and the campsites are lovely clean and have hot showers and electricity. However, each night at 9pm they pump the septic system and the campsites closest to the lodge smell like raw sewage. We also had dinner at the lodge on Sunday night. It wasn't particularly busy but the servers were not really on it.
