I was at a wedding on August 3 and found that the Castle had not improved over the years! The place is entirely to small to accommodate guests for an event such as a wedding. It was very muggy and hot outside where everyone was sent. There were suppose to be refreshments waiting for guests and they were very inadequate. After one half of the people got out there, there was nothing left. Water was not even offered to people even though it was HOT AND MUGGY! I don't believe the grounds are well kept either and the moat was disgusting! Parking is deplorable and a lot of guests had to stand up for the entire wedding! My granddaughter will be married in the fall and thankfully she was there on Saturday because she was able to rule it out as a venue right away!

A pretty nice place to get married. Didnt care for the customer service too much. Ground manager was great though and made a lot happen. But asked for ten chairs and got 20 despite 2 emails and 3 phone conversations. If you are having a small wedding and no reception afterwards they dont follow up a lot. Dont care for the small weddings. Comments were made like "no muss no fuss" about our wedding. I dont think my wedding is a no fuss event.... I asked for the great hall and paulette insisted we do the queens chamber. All of their suggested caterers and photographers expensive. My suggestion is do it all yourself if you can. No one went over anything with us once we came in. No one greeted us. We had to wait for a grounds manager for 45 minutes. My bridal suite was being used when I came in. Affordable and beautiful venue. Customer service is just not there which is disappointing.

Great venue with fun friendly staff and cheap parking. Went to the Mardi gras masquerade and had a blast. The place was fully lit and decorated well for the occasion. Beer is the typical $8 and the mixed drinks range from $2-8, but at least they put a decent amount of alcohol in them. Lots of entertainment and plenty to look at and eat. Loud music and large heated areas made the night more enjoyable.

This venue is awesome!!!!!!! I really enjoyed myself I am a wedding planner and my clients had their wedding here Feb 15 and they also loved it. Not only the castle but the staff there made it worth so much more. We have worked closely with Hannah and Paul McIntire and they was awesome Paul knowledge of the venue is out of this world!!! He had so much great suggestions and advice and because of him I will recommend all my clients in the area to this place. Paul is a true diamond that shines bright at Castle McCulloch!! I really can not wait to have my next event here!!!!

Absolutely recommend!! Gorgeous venue, friendly staff, affordable payment options. Paulette is wonderful to work with and easy to get in touch with. We had a perfect ceremony and reception at the castle and both of us (and our guests) gushed over how beautiful the day was.

We had our wedding there on 11-19-17. Beautiful venue! But horrible staff. I used to work in customer service and in my opinion they differently do not know how to treat customers with high importance. The girl who gave us a tour there last year was kind, but she quit this year a couple months before our wedding. Unfortunately, we got stuck with the person who took her place who was rude to my wedding planner and us. Sadly, this beautiful location does not deserve the staff it has... The venue was a 4 star but the staff was a 2.

This one star is pure on your website tact and respect of other people's opinions. "Barns are for cows, not vows" on your webpage, really? I've seen some beautiful barn style weddings so as soon as I saw that on your website I closed the page and came here for the review. Loosing business over lack of respect for customer opinions.

I felt the magic of this place. I enjoyed everything about my experience. Except for price groomsmen should get nicer place to get ready then a bathroom or at least take urinals out and close that part off. The site manager went out of his way to accommodate us and was. Very helpful. Service service service was amazing!

I got a code in an email to the beer and fear bash go to use it and the code is not active anymore. If you are not going to accept code after a certain date you should really put a use by date on them also the code they have up is no longer active. I think this is poor advertising also if you notice the teir of tickets they are all priced at 50 dollars just the savings is different so your really not saving any money. I dont think this is fair to your customers.

This is an incredible location. We scouted it for our wedding but alas exceeded our budget. Our recent company Christmas party showed it to be a quaint, warm location. We we're confined to the "entrance hall" (I am told there are more levels), but we were able to wander the grounds and they looked great at night! A good time was had and I would venture to say that any event here would be favorably memorable!

For the amount of money you pay to go to these events I would assume the bathrooms would be kept cleaner. The drinks would be better and the entertainment more... entertaining. The new years event was fun and all but the dancers they had were not as exciting as other events I've been too. My drinks that night were weak and my glass wasn't even full for a $9 drink. I hope the next event I go too it a little more thought through.

I had my wedding here about a month ago. The venue is beautiful but I was repeatedly promised things that were not delivered on. I dont expect perfection but I do expect honesty. They didnt care because they already had my money.
The day of my wedding I was told I needed to stop my ceremony music because it was disturbing another party's reception. The group that bought out the entire day beside me were treated as though they were all that mattered. The onsite person had no clue what I was supposed to be getting or what was going on with my wedding even though I provided all the requested itineraries. I tried to resolve issues with management but never received any final response. I was just pushed from person to person who would "get back to me in a week". Those weeks turned into a month plus. Very disappointed.

Beautiful place for a wedding or wedding vow renewals like my daughter and son-in-law had today the only complaint is need a fan in the dressing area or more air as well as at the top of the steps between the two sets of steps upstairs very hot otherwise very nice place

I have been to the Mardi Gras celebration two years in a row and plan to continue to go each year. Thousands of people come together to explore the many acres of different venues featuring live music, dancers, flame throwers, and DJs putting on tunes to get down to on the dance floor. Drinks are pricey, but it is to be expected to keep a place like this going. Great place to meet people and have a good time.

breath taking with amazing architecture! with such attention to detail the castle is a must see! I almost got lost in the architecture and spent more then an hour embracing each little detail myself lol! what looks to be straight out of a fairytale princess story book is the perfect location to bring the most important day of any bride to life! I was blown away at the public event I attended, and will be doing my best to return for the next one!

The castle was the absolute perfect place for our small intimate ceremony. Not only was the staff extremely friendly, they went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was everything we could imagine. To top it off, our event manager, Malaysia, saved the day for me. I had a custom bouquet made and my mom and I left it at the house. I was at a complete loss of what to do to rectify the situation. Malaysia grabbed some of our extra flowers we had used to decorate the venue and made me a bouquet about a ten minutes before I had to walk down the aisle. She really saved the day for me!
Working with the castle was easy and fun. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a classy, elegant ceremony space!
