The loveliest event venue, nestled in the most beautiful forest environment. Historically significant locale that caters to all manner of needs. Some of the best seeded gold and gem panning available locally at the best prices. Some events are open to the public on a seasonal basis. I highly recommend a visit to Castle McCulloch upon any available chance. It is a truly magical place.

Went to a wedding here for the first time. I wanted to see the venue for myself in hopes that one day I would plan my wedding there. Upon visiting the establishment I thought wow this is amazing. If your looking for a place that is physically a beautiful venue then this might be the place for you, but if you plan an event here make sure to bring your own staff. The staff at this location must hate there jobs because the way I was treated when trying to get my drink was absolutely uncalled for the male bartender who obviously didn t want to be there was arguing with the woman bartender who was just trying to serve the guest. Very unprofessional and definitely will not recommend this place to any of the people I encounter daily in Greensboro.

Beautiful evening with the Harvest Moon shining down on the 1st Red Dragon Club event. So much hard work payed off, I am sure. The best part to me was finally being able to witness the builder of this gorgeous, historical piece of property, take his rightful position; the front of the house and share his story that only a few will ever be blessed to be a live witness to. The rest of the world will only able to read about his blood, sweat and tears, in the years to come. An astounding and exemplary example of determined labor and diligence. A beautiful story. I encourage everyone to read about this elegant yet rustic venue and how it came to be the magnificent and magical Castle for so many of us to enjoy, generation after generation. Thank you, Richard Harris and staff! We had a great time and look forward to returning, very soon.

Very beautiful property the landscaping is meticulous. The castle is a very cozy environment with beautiful wooden beams and trusses and stone walls. There are gas brazers that light a path to the castle as well as the walls of the castle. Handicap parking can be a bit confusing as there are no marked handicap parking spaces. If you have a reception, leaving your vehicle at the castle is discouraged as they lock the gates every night. If you plan on drinking, it may be best to get a Rideshare to take you to and from the venue.

My wedding was actually here and it was the best night of my life! We have visited the castle multiple times for meetings and the staff is very helpful. High Point is very lucky to have this beautiful castle so close. There is a Queens Chamer downstairs that has a bar, an outdoor patio and the Great Hall. You can also reserve the Crystal Garden which is an amazing room just across the pond where you could rent if you didnt want the castle. The castle does a good job at scheduling events so no two events will get in the way of each other.

I rented the ENTIRE Castle McCullough grounds and buildings for my lovely daughter's wedding and her huge number of guests (held on 7/11/2015). Yes, the ENTIRE grounds. Everything was spectacular! I could not have asked for more. We did not have a wedding planner, and in the end, did not need one. We did NOT have anyone from the Castle there to 'manage' anything - but the entire group of wedding vendors that we had hired knew their jobs so well, it went perfectly. I only wished that we could have went on and on late into the night. We had guests stay at the local Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn (these two hotels share a parking lot) and had limo services to shuttle folks back and forth to the Castle, and then from the Castle to the hotels when the festivities ended. We had libations in the Castle, the Queens Quarters for the Father of the Bride to dress, the Crystal Gardens for the reception and dancing, and the wedding under the tent. Went it got dark, the guests walked all around the property - the best part about it - they could enjoy the full treasure that is the Castle in the evening (without restrictions). Everyone is STILL talking about this venue a month later. It was the right decision to hold this event at the Castle. Wonderful memories.

Such a great wedding venue. The ceremony held out amongst the trees and reception in the gorgeous crystal garden were both simply stunning. I wish I had more opportunity to explore the grands, but what I did see was beautiful!

I've been here for two events and definitely enjoyed myself for both. The venue is a good size with multiple bars at each section/area so there are rarely, if ever, long lines. The fact there are different areas is fun and gives you a wide variety of music and people throughout the night. Mardi Gras and the Halloween are amazing and definitely worth checking out if you have never been before. Best part is they even have an Uber parking/pick up area as well

Beautiful place but very more management they scheduled two weddings at the same time. Fun seeing old friends but being treated like you were in a library because the talk police would come by saying be quit. One wedding not ideal because of all the extra noice and the other wedding starting very late because of the other wedding.

It's always been a dream of mine to get married at the Castle ever since my parents got married. I am a new bride, just as any other so I have questions and yes, some of those may seem stupid but they aren't to me. I work in customer service so I know how to treat customers, although Genna or Jenna does not. I have spoke with her multiple times and 3 of those were not good experiences. My first time calling this venue, let alone another, she legit laughed at one of my questions and followed it with an attitude answer. I brushed it off. I called back later to get prices and set up an appointment in which I had to look at my schedule and I asked her to please hold. She held for a minute and then hung up and I had to call back. Today I called and asked her another question about the tour I have scheduled and she paused for a minute and gave me an attitude again. For such a beautiful yet expensive place with awful customer service over the phone, it's safe to say I won't be having my dream. You may have a beautiful venue, but with the customer service I've received just over the phone, your venue isn't so pretty anymore.

Just had my wedding here and it was beautiful and amazing. It was wonderful and I am so thankful to the castle for letting me use their beautiful venue. As wonderful as everything was I do have a few small complaints. The only complaint I have involving the castle directly is that I was a little annoyed that they kept locking the door to the bathroom in the dressing room so we would have to go down stairs where the guests were coming in or just hold it. The bathroom thing is not really a big deal and I did not care that much it was just a minor annoyance. However, my biggest complaint is that they have bad preferred venders. I went to a bridal show and talked with their preferred venders and even had a book that the castle gave me that was filled with information on their preferred venders. I was thinking that since the castle is such a great venue and is rated best wedding venue on the knot for this area that I could fully trust that their venders would be as good and as professional however, that was not the case. Actually All the castle preferred venders that I went with were not so good, my wedding was amazing because the venue was amazing and the venders that were not preferred by the castle that I chose were perfect and amazing. The only preferred venders I chose from the castle was the Rosa Mae's catering for food and cake, Reflections Bridal hair and Makeup, and VIP formal wear. All 3 were not so good venders and were an all around bad experience. Castle McCulloch is a Great venue and I definitely would recommend it to any bride however, I will also warn any bride to go with your own venders and ignore the castle's preferred venders, trust me, the very small discount is not worth it and the selection is very bad.

Grand wedding and events venue in the Triad area. The banquet facility was great and accommodating with a full wrap around porch. There appears to be a lot more event space on the grounds since there was another wedding going on at the same time as the one I was attending. Adequate parking and easy access.

Wonderful time at Mardi Gras 2018. Drinks are pricey, but plenty of fun venues (the band Stereo Dolls was awesome)! Liked that there was plenty of security, so it feels very safe in a large crowd.

Purchased VIP tickets and it was worth every penny to have a seat in venues, our own servers, and a VIP area with regular bathrooms (the general bathrooms are port-a-potties).

Parking was well organized and easy with plenty of staff directing is to an exact spot.

Nice but HOT. I think the A/C was out or broken in the Crystal Ballroom. Might be nice to replenish the water in the mote around the castle. The venue is losing some of its former luster despite its pricepoints. The staff were pleasant though.

Malaysia Castle helped us make sure everything was in place for our wedding with everything from making sure the order of the people in the wedding party came down she was on point and very courteous while addressing any family concerns. Then she talk to manger for us about a communication issue, so she took it in her hands to accommodate each and every guest. She also helped with the wedding flow. Malaysia also remained positive while Under a lot of pressure and she should be recognized for her hard work and dedication. We just got married 08/12/2018

This was such a Beautiful, Lovely, Awesome place!

This was such a Beautiful, Lovely, Awesome place!
My Two Son's Best Friend and his Beautiful Bride had their wedding at the Castle.
They loved it. They have participated in weddings before but never one this
Immaculate.
I am sure to he Castle is used for many different event's. It's just such a immaculate place with so much square footage inside and outside.
Located in a quite, Private, secluded place.
I would Strongly Recommend Castle McCulloch to anyone with reason to have a fairy tale Wedding, to Company
Gatherings and so many other occasions.
You wouldn't regret it.

I absolutely loved getting married at Castle McCul...

I absolutely loved getting married at Castle McCulloch! I can honestly say that I had the perfect wedding. Everything was beautiful, you really don't need to spend much in decoration because the castle and its surroundings are enough! We invited 80 people so we had the ceremony in the Great Hall Patio and the reception inside the Great Hall (castle). Since we hired one of the preferred caterers (Castle Catering) we got a 30% discount (final price $3,000). We got married on a Friday night, I don't know if a Saturday wedding has a different price. The castle included tables and chairs, water and sodas, bartender, among others.
We also decided to pay for their bar service (premium beer and wine, around $1,000 for 80 guests), which was a great deal because the bar has to be in the Queen's Chambers (downstairs room), so we got that room included without having to rent it separately and paying more for it. Since we got the Queen's Chambers with the bar we decided to send our guests for appetizers there while we took pictures in the outside area.
We met for the final contract with Paulette and she was so nice and easy to work with. On the wedding day our event manager was Karen and she was great too. The only backdrop is that they don't have a bathroom in the bridal room, but you can live without it.
Our photographer was Bert Reed and he was fabulous, beautiful pictures and very helpful. Our dj Bradley was from Anything DJ. I definitely advice to go with the castle's preferred vendors because they already know each other and have great communication. Overall our wedding was around $11,200 (I purchased all the flowers and decorations for the ceremony, the bridge and the bouquets, they are really easy to make).
