Took a large party in for dinner. Had new clients and some existing clients. First class place that really is quite quaint inside and out. The seafood and drinks were first class and great portion sizes for an upscale restaurant. The desserts were off the chart amazing. We will be back again soon!

I met a friend here for coffee it was my first time and the menu is extensive which I can appreciate. It can also be overwhelming but the staff was very approachable. I ordered an iced almond milk latte as per my usual. It had a great flavor profile. I also had a whoopie pie which was awesome and very nostalgic.

These guys have been a Broward county staple for years. Chef Oliver and Darryl have been owners and operators since day one and their commitment and loyalty to us locals shows in every dish! Staff is just the best. Ron the bartender gives the best wine recommendations and there are tasting events regularly that are such a great value. Keep up the great work guys.

Amazing food... the pork was fantastic so tender and juicy and the chicken too, the place so nice , and the staff friendly.

The food is excellent, inventive and well presented. The ambiance could use some work, as it felt like every other restaurant. The service was attentive, and polished. I would give 5 points if the cost or environment was better.

Hidden gem! Great wine menu and excellent cuisine. Highly trained servers and the chef was on point. Deemed safe and the perfect choice for a romantic evening or a company event.

Was disappointed that Lobster Wellington was not on the menu for that night, but enjoyed many other dishes. Great staff including the smiling hostesses and our unobtrusive server Sebastian. Probably the best restaurant in Pompano.

Asain meatballs were great..everything else was just "ok". Too pricey to just be "ok"

No service for twenty minutes after we were seated. We wound up walking out, they didn't seem to care.

Without a doubt the best food I've had in Pompano, ever. No frills locations, nice dining room and a decent location but the food was TOP SHELF. Incredible food quality. Unreal taste and so much "oh my God" I got tired of saying it. Absolutely incredible. 100 stars.

Food was fabulous especially good was the signature dish - the snapper. A special night out place to go.

Artisan bread fabo.... Lobster potstickers c- kinda plan an really no lobster flavor. Elk was delish cooked perfect... the Chicken Cordon Blue delightful the scalloped roasted potatos very sexy an delish... my favorite dessert Choc Flourless cake so sexy an nice.. A++++!!!! Would dine again for sure they really took car of touch hand an foot.

Had an absolutely lovely dinner! The food and service were utterly top notch. I'd highly recommend the ribeye!

I wish I had taken some pics of our meal, the tuna pizza appetizer was so good I would go back just for that. We also had a dinner that was Blackened Pompano, very fresh, just the perfect amount of crisp to it, the bartenders were great, just had a really nice time. Can't wait to go back!

There are few words to describe this Restaurant. The food is great, the ambience is amazing. I can try to explain for hours how good it is, but it won't make justice, you have to go there and try it by you self.

Cafe Maxx when you walk in first thing I notice it's a little tight but I was cool with it fyi you can hear everybody conversation so just understand that is how tight it is but I loved that it did have a cozy feel you know it had a lot of wood panels it reminded me of a old school steak house turned into Cafe Maxx service was straight to the point I was cool with that. It has a very small bar and very small kitchen look if you are claustrophobic and don't like being able to hear people's conversations this is not for you casual attire I luv it oh yeah the chef was very cute

The very best food ever. We had stone crab, sushi ,my husband had breast of duck. The lamb is incredible. Special customer service that surpasses most restaurants.

Everything was great from the atmosphere to the service to the food. My only issue is the prices are about $5-$10 than other restaurants serving similar meals with the same portions.

No need for a long explanation, this place is the best. Excellent service and fantastic food. Can't wait to go back

Their appetizers are wonderful. I have tuna sashimi pizza which we always fight who gets to eat the last piece. Outstanding! I have had their almond crusted goat cheese salad and my husband has the red and yellow beet salad. Both served beautifully and credible-tasting.

My first time there. Nice place, inviting and relaxed decor. My wife had already warned me about prices. Ordered something simple, Cuban chicken with corn sauce, etc . Well, after waiting 50 minutes they brought a Rotisserie chicken with black beans, plantains and undercooked butter rice and pico de Gallo Containing corn. Honestly, NOTHING different from Pollo Tropical for 4 times the price and 40 minutes longer. Rip off. Overpriced. Would not go back or recommend it. Btw, Not impressed with my wife s Salmon either.

Definitely worth a stop for foodies in the Ft Lsuderdale area. Good wine list and corkage fee is 30. From the outside, it doesn't look like much on the corner of an ordinary strip mall. The interior is a little dated but go for the food and the service

We went to Cafe Maxx for dinner with a gift certificate that was given as a Christmas gift. It was purchased about two years ago. After sitting down and showing the certificate, we were told that all gift cards at Cafe Maxx expire after one year and that "it's ridiculous" to try to use our Christmas gift. According to the FL Senate, all gift cards do not have any expiration terms. We were very disappointed in how rudely we were treated and left. Warning to potential customers: do not buy gift certificates here as they will not honor them according to state law.

First time visit last night, and the food and service was AMAZING! Our waiter, Ricardo, was very attentive and kind. The shrimp appetizer and watermelon salad was out of this world, but even more amazing than that was the mocha cappuccino mousse torte dessert...heavenly!!!

Pull up to the Valet. Hostess greets you with a smile and this hospitality continues throughout the entire evening by everyone on staff. The main Entrance opens up into the bar area with seating to your left and another dining room further back. At first glance, the restaurant may not appear big....but there is plenty of seating....and the seating is in high demand because of the culinary masterpieces that come out of the kitchen.

Cafe Maxx is amazing. If you want the glitz and glamour decor......Miami-style....it is not that.....just not their style. It is however very refined and lately I have noticed a little more edge. Younger staff.....incredible service.....expanded bar and just clean cut.
Now.... the glitz and glamour comes in the form of every appetizer, entree and desert that is served.

As for the dishes....culinary perfection! Presentation....taste....just flawless. Last night, I went back to one of my favorites.....the Caviar Pie is a must!!!! Beef tartare.....just order anything because I have tried everything on the menu over the years.....and every dish will leave you asking for more.

Thank you again Cafe Maxx for a wonderful evening. Oh....and thank you so much for adding Red Bull as a mixer....Redbull Vodka....Caviar.... culinary genius.....and an amazing staff all-around. Cafe Maxx is moving in all the right directions....and we will be back for more.

Also, try the tuna tar tar pizza. Huge hit. I had the Scallops which were perfectly seasoned and cooked.

Pretty good service, okay food. Personally, I feel it's overpriced. You're packed in a small space, not really any music playing, so you feel the chaos as the servers dip and dart through the maze of customers. You're paying a lot of money for your meal here, and the experience left us wanting.

Always fantastic! The service, food and drinks are consistently great. Highly recommend the 3 peppercorn filet or steak and eggs for brunch. It doesn't get much better.

Good food, nice atmosphere. Run out of specials often so get there early in the night. The bar is well stocked, and the menu is nice but not as spectacular as it used to be. Nice staff, but the tables are very snug together which makes it hard for them to work sometimes. Give it a try!
