Despite all the negative comments I read, I tried my luck. The buffet was very good, the food was fresh and diverse. Wednesday is Women's Day, we paid the 2nd buffet for half price and the bottles of wine were $ 15. Good value for money. On the other hand, the waiter was rather expeditious and uncomfortable.

They get 5 starts for fantastic food and variety! But does anyone know if they closed temporarily or permanently? I went there on Friday at 4:30 but they never opened, didn t answer the phone, lights were off, and there were no signs on the door stating they were closed or had different hours.

This is the worst Fu-Lam i went to. First of all waiter was rude, food was really cold. The roast beef was the only really good thing. The sushi was almost frozen and really not a treat cause the rice is so hard. Their soda fountain is broken so you need to buy cans of pop at twice the price it should cost. All the deserts were stale. Btw I have been to other restaurants of this chain and have never had any issues, but this one was awful, I will never go back.

The food tasted the same everywhere for me, although ambiance was okay. We were a big family who took a couple of tables for a celebration. I didn't feel the attentiveness of the waiters, there was a slight delay in clearing tables and it was hard to get the waiter's attention to ask for a pichet of water despite the place being not that busy. (Restaurant seemed half-full at 6pm on a Sunday)
Food's selection didn't feel any different from anywhere else, just varying ways you could stir fry, chuck meat, bell peppers, bean sprouts and broccoli all the same. Too bad I had to head to another table to get a hold of salt and pepper. They refill the bins quickly, but couldn't get hold of crab that day.
It's certainly a great buffet, but there was nothing on the tables that really hit asian flavor true notes for me.

Pros:
Lots of space
Friendly, quick and effective service
Good price and food

Cons:
Not a lot of vegetarian options (You would expect more vegetarian options such as tofu, eggs, etc.)
Lack of name and description / label on the food (As a vegetarian, it is difficult)

The food was good for those who enjoy seafood. The selection was okay, and covered the traditional Chinese buffet fare, with roast beef, ham and sushi as the bonuses. Only complaint was that the glasses and cutlery had a lot of spots, so weren't visually appealing.

Ok, first off, I know this may sound very biased, but I truly am giving my honest opinion. I felt like it was necessary after I read all the reviews. I eat there every time I have a shift and the food is decent and there is a ton to choose from (food from Monday to Friday lunch is the same, food from Monday to Thursday night is the same, food from Friday to Sunday lunch is the same and food from Saturday to Sunday is the same, which explains why the price can vary). We have specials and coupons so that you could save money. Plus, for your information, the food is always made on the spot, is fresh and is replaced every time it runs out. However, since I eat there all the time, I do get sick of eating the same things. Also, when you order takeouts, make sure to come in time, because the food gets cold and isn't as good. As for the deliveries, normally it takes 45 minutes. Everything that is ordered is also made on the spot, and is very fresh. For those who complain about the staff, you should know that most of us work all day, and working in a restaurant is really stressful. I personally am not a waiter but it really stresses me when people complain about them. They have really a lot to do (they take your plates away when you're done, pour you water when you're done and make sure to satisfy your needs). Being a waiter is not easy, especially when you have to serve more than 20 people at the same time. So please understand, and give them their tip. Most of them struggle with French and English, and they also have a family to feed. It is hard for immigrants to live a decent life. Don't be so harsh, they really are hard workers. True, sometimes we are having a bad day and it affects our mood and I apologize for that, but it happens to the best of us. For those who complain about the waiting time, I wanted to tell you that we can't do anything about it, because when we are busy, there are no tables available. For those who complain about the staff giving them attitude, I'd to tell you that it is really hard to satisfy every single customer's needs. We have rules to follow and can't break them for you. Customers give us attitudes as well and we have to handle it calmly even if it ruins our days. Okay, enough rambling, I just wanted to make sure anyone that reads this understand how it really is, and from an employee's point of view. Anyway, have a good day!

An excellent atmosphere. Always open and courteous. Have to be honest though some waiting staff are a little pushy when it comes to TIPS on the Bills.
The food is Marvelous and many choices and flavours. Lunch is great but evening is even better and different menu choices. The Grill is an awesome area to chose your own meal. Vegetables and some seafood Plus Shrimp or chicken at the grill 5 Flavours to choose from , sweet, mild to hot and Spicy...etc.
A definite 5 out of 5...Always go back with Family, friends and Staf or luncheon meetings. PERSONALLY, I prefer this location to the other openings in Montreal. Thank you.

The hostess is stupid and did not want to give a seat to my son and I .. yet there were available. In the buffet, young girls were using ice cream with their teaspoons, eating and diving again. No need to say more. Several choices on the menu did not seem fresh (very dry ribs etc) Ah .. the toilets ... de-geu-lasses. The server very nice: only positive. We went on a Saturday evening around 6:30 pm to the buffet at Ville St-Laurent. Never again!

It's a standard western Chinese buffet. The standard non-authentic Chinese food you get all over the place. I wouldn't say it's bad per-se but the price is pretty steep. You could go to a good a-la-cart buffet with far better food for almost the same price. I like these types of buffets, but lets be honest we go to them because they are cheap and the food is plentiful. Without the cheapness factor there is little reason to go.
