Great friendly service on a very busy day. The staff were very attentive and served efficiency. If you order food stay close to the cafe, staff will shout but it's your responsibility to hear them not for them to walk up and down the beach. This cafe has been amazing for many years and hopefully for many more to come

Food was lovely. It's a shame about the strawberry milkshake I ordered, the milk was on the turn and tasted horrible. Other than that, food great, staff great.

First time visiting Flags Cafe and what a great experience l had. So very friendly. I will DEFINATELY be visiting again. right on the beach. Life doesn't get much better than that.

We have recently moved to the area and enjoy walks down the front regularly passing this cafe, looks like a lovely spot to sit with a cup of tea and watch the world go by but always seems to be closed! Asked a local who advised that you've got to be lucky to catch them open but they do a lovely breakfast. Posting this in hopes that the owner sees and decides to open more often and give us a chance to try it out!

Sun sea and super staff and service. Beer o. The beach or breakfast all day... What more do you want. Excellent place A+++++

Hubby and me had a really lovely couple of hours here about six weeks ago. Stopped for lunch end up chatting to a smashing couple that were sea view house hunting from billericay. Hubby's were driving so we had a few unexpected glasses of vino from our beach front cafe. Burgers and chips with salad were delicious and well presented. Only downfall for me personally as access.Steep steps or long slopes. We will try and visit again and checkout if another close foot is accessable. How lucky to have this eatery in a fabulous revamped Holland on sea.xx

Holland on Sea offers good clean beaches. We sat locally to Flags cafe and used it for refreshments and ice cream. Very impressed with C-19 controlls and great value.

All good, freshly made sandwiches, nice cup of coffee, good prices, what's not to like!

My Wife and I often ride our bikes along the seafront, we love nothing better than to stop off at Flags Cafe where we enjoy a lovely meal followed by a nice glass of wine, the staff are always very friendly and welcoming, we like to sit outside and look out at the sea from this favoured position. A big thank you to all the staff and keep up the good work and see you all soon x

What an absolutely delightful promenade cafe! All you could wish for during a stroll between Clacton and Holland on Sea. Wonderful selection of savoury and sweet food. The dessert portions are especially generous!! Friendly, hard working, attentive staff, well maintained and presented premises in a fantastic location. Well worth a visit.

Doesn't open when it says it should. Double up breakfast not bad. Freshly cooked to order.

Planned an 8 mile walk with a trip to Flags cafe in the middle. Arrived to a sign saying there was a limited menu as they were short staffed due to sickness. I feared that the vegan options would be the first to go. I asked if a vegan breakfast could be managed to which the reply was yes so my wife and I had one each. It was delicious and a good sized portion too. Very friendly staff and a lovely location. We will be back.

Welcoming staff, clean and bright premises, excellent food at fair prices. You feel happy in the cheerful atmosphere. Also great views of the beach and sea. Lesley is a very nice proprietor.

Just somewhere nice to stop for a cuppa while out walking. Even tho it's not been open last few times I've walked past .

Absolutely love flags cafe on a sunny day you could be anywhere the scenery is great the food is great the staff are great and the lady that owns it runs it like a proper old school business looking after people and always got bowls of water out for the dogs highly recommend flags cafe could sit there all day if I had the time spot on .

Very friendly Bunch. Always make you welcome and always always very kind with your dogs when you bring them along. Food is very good also.

Very clean location with tasty food at reasonable prices and very welcoming staff.

Waited for them to open for 30 mins. Waited longer for them to set up, but got fed up waiting and left. Having passed by on a number of occasions in the past couple of weeks it's always busy. I suppose my timing was out.

I took my little girl for breakfast at this lovely cafe yesterday, good food & brilliant service. Unexpectedly the sun made an appearance and I forgot my little girls sun cream, the lovely lady who owns the cafe over heard me saying I had forgot it and she came back to our table with a bottle of Sun cream for us to use! Not only was the food 10/10 their customer service is amazing, highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again!

Simply fab. Great homemade food and their cakes are awesome. Right on promenade overlooking the gorgeous beach. You have to visit.

Always lovely home made cake and home cooked food. Really doggy friendly. Ask for a sausage sundae for the pooch.
