Customer service is virtually non-existent. Wrote an email which was left unanswered. Impossible to get through on the phone. As a result of my failed attempts to get in touch the life policy got lapsed. Overall impression - Zurich is solely a money making venture.

My experience with Zurich Life has been very frustrating. It is proving extremely difficult to encash our savings policy. The procedure has been frought with bureauocracy and red tape. We have endured a month of correspondance with no success.
Dealing with the customer support team is frustrating. This review is on the back of several unanswered emails and long hold times when you try and phone in.
I wanted to switch my pension to my company account so I had to write in on behalf of my company. So, I wrote in with everything about my company, and waited 10 days.
Afterwards, I called in and asked if they received the letter. They said, "your company has to write in". When I told them I did write in as it's my company, they asked if I wrote it on company headed paper? I said no, he then put me on hold without asking for approx. 45 seconds. (Probably hoping I'd hang up). No I must write in and hope they do something.
My God trying to contact customer service or my pension consultant has been horrendously difficult. They never reply and if they do it's with a question. The call back service is a joke they never ring back. Omg.
The really helpful Zurich team in Blackrock recently assisted us in getting set up on a really fair and comprehensive business protection plan, a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.
