Granted, they have an outstanding menu with truly delicious food but the service is a true disaster. Pretentious staff. The moment you enter the restaurant, you feel unwelcome. The servers probably want to tell you "why are you here? Get out". I have been to Zuma 3 times trying to give them a chance, maybe it was just a bad day.. But they never fail to deliver the same terrible service. They need to change the restaurant manager and every single staff member. The place will always be highly rated as it is considered a pinnacle Dubai establishment but it would really do you well to be nice to customers. They are only nice to the celebrities who frequent their restaurants. More expensive, better restaurants in Dubai, treat their customers with respect and a smile no matter who they are.

We were lucky to get a table at Zuma to celebrate ours son's birthday. It was hands down, the best brunch for food quality, selection, presentation, service, and value (and we've been wowed by many a brunch). Our server, Milos, was phenomenal and made the experience even better. The pacing was perfect and our glass was never empty. There wasn't one dish that we didn't enjoy, everything was a highlight. In fact, we're still raving about it to anyone that will listen. We can't wait to go back!

The finest Japanese restaurant in town, if not absolutely the best dinning venue in town. Incredible selection and the quality of every single ingredient meets the demands of any foodie. Prices are insane though, especially if you want to have good drinks!

Terrible management and reception staff. Was seated only to be told the kitchen is closing without any notice to rush our experience. Manager came only to blame us for their mistake and not to rectify the situation.

Zuma never dissapoints. The beed was cooked to perfection, the tempura shrimp was fantastic and the beef tataki melts in your mouth. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was on point. Will be back soon.

Zuma was absolutely amazing! One of the best sushi experiences of my life and I consider myself a sushi lover and expert.

Dexter or Dex was an amazing waiter and he made the experience even nicer. He was simply amazing and an expert on fish and the menu!

We went to this restaurant for lunch. The ambience was great and the staff was very friendly as well - my clumsy self dropped a glass of passion fruit/apple/pineapple mojito all over my the chair I was sitting on, and the waitress was so nice about it (too much, I think).

The food was quite good. The best dishes, according to me, were the teriyaki sweet potato, grilled corn, miso cod, and of course, the cod/prawn gyoza - it was just delicious! For dessert I ordered their special chocolate . It was actually chocolate lava cake served with a dollop of (was it vanilla?) icecream. Inside it, there was what seemed to be melted caramel and chocolate sauce. It was quite delicious. Moreover, the presentation and plating was immaculate.

The view from the restaurant, however, was quite abominable; from the window at which we were sitting, one could see some sort of open car park/road area. For a restaurant of such acclaim, one would at least expect to see a few palm trees or an attractive cityscape, if not a harbor or quayside (which would be fitting in this situation, since Zuma serves an abundance of seafood).
Furthermore, the bill was quite a bit much relative to the amount of dishes we ordered and the serving sizes of the food - however, that s expected with any luxury restaurant in Dubai.

Overall, we had a pleasant experience, and I would recommend for you to visit the place. I would count this restaurant as one of the best Japanese restaurants in Dubai.

Very good quality crowd. I guess the door man is doing a good job to only allow decent people it. A mix of nationalities amongst the guest but everyone extremely well mannered. Very pleasant for a night out. I personally avoid the weekend as it gets too crowded, but even then, the service is outstanding. Drinks are delicious and perfectly made. Food is awesome.

The Perfect Lunch!

The Perfect Lunch!

During our stay in Dubai, Zuma was our best Japanese experience by far.

Perfect portion sizes, high quality fish and meat (sashimi and Wagyu steak) in a business setting. Not a cosy restaurant per se but clean and modern nonetheless.
And then de desserts came. Absolutely blown away, especially by the fine quality of their chocolate.
The pricing is correct with regards to what you receive.
Due to unexpected circumstances, we ended up at Nobu the night before, so we were able to compare both restaurants. Our conclusion: Better than Nobu!

Thank you!

Great

Let's get the price out of the way it's expensive. We're talking 500 AED around 100 euros to get a decent meal.

Now that aside the decor of the restaurant is amazing. Service is on point.

Calamari starter was cooked to perfection no rubbery calamari in sight. Beef tenderloin with amazing shetaki mushrooms. And the sushi wow. I got the 8 piece nigiri premium selection. Delicate flavors , perfectly seasoned rice with perfect cuts of fish topped with truffle caviar. Best experience of sushi in Dubai.

Great good great place ok service but way over priced frankly. A ncie evening vibe and well located ideal for entertaining guests but at a very high cost as there are many other better options but their food is great so I suggest going once I a while

By far one of my favorite places in town. The food is to die for. The business lunches are great, but the experience is just as awesome during dinners or cocktails at the lounge at night.

I witnessed blatant racism here earlier this week on a Tuesday night. Racism is something I ve always heard about in second hand accounts of Dubai. Anyway, I m usually here for dinner and drinks multiple times when I m visiting Dubai, and I m with groups of various races (mostly as a large group of businessmen from literally everywhere). But the one night I arrive with an elderly dark-skinned gentleman who is a valued business guest of mine, I m told with a rude snark that it s couples only tonight , even though the place was half empty, by a sordid lady standing at the gate village entrance to the restaurant who clearly hates her job and/or life. I can t help but wonder if it would be couples only tonight had I been with a white gentleman? Because funnily enough, that s never actually been a problem. Draw your own conclusions if you will, but to me such in your face racism at what is supposedly a world class restaurant is a true and utter pity, and reeks of the narrow mindedness of the people running it. The management and owners should be totally ashamed of themselves. You may have class, but you have zero grace! - a (former) patron from overseas.

Excellent food as usual, love the atmosphere in the evening and fantastic staff that are always so attentive to our needs - particularly allergies. They were VERY good at recommending the best dishes on the menu. Will be coming back again.

Worst place I ever visited in the world considering price quality.
Just upselling and zero explanation about dishes. I even felt at a certain moment like a French duck which needed to grow aggressively his liver by stuffing all the food down it s throat without enjoying the taste as the next course is being pushed down your neck.
Won t come back and definitely don t recommend it.

The food exceeded my expectations. I am not a fan of the Japanese and Chinese food but I ate it all and wanted more.
The service is good too.the waiters make sure that you are well taken care of and of course some waiters are better than others like everywhere
We had a rough start in the beginning with some attitude problem but the manager (I assume he was the manager) made it up to us and made sure that we have an unforgettable experience and we did
And the desert they have !@!!!@ oh my God.a piece of heaven the pecan tart and the chocolat fondue.something out of this world.

An amazing venue in Dubai! Delicious food, incredible staff - so professional, knowledgable and friendly. The ambiance is very nice - the place is well organised & great decor.

You must try the chefs special Daikoku, which is an incredible selection of dishes, you won t regret it! It's a must try place in Dubai..

First class service and food. Every starter and main course dish faultless and above the competition (nobu, hakkasan etc.) Staff always running around to top up your drink and clear plates - attentive without being overbearing.
Only criticism is that the desserts don t quite live up to the same standard as the other food - but you ll be so full that there isn t much room left at this stage.
