I had ordered groceries on November 12, 2015 for a delivery on November 13, 2015 between 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM slot. I generally eat sandwich for breakfast, the gourmet bread I normally order was not in stock but I thought I'd eat normal bread for one day instead of leaving to work empty stomach. At round 7:00 AM, I received "your ordered was dispatched" SMS and email; it is auto-generated, it does not actually mean the order is dispatched. I managed eating cereals and around 9:40 AM called ZopNow customer service number, the coordinator called the driver/delivery team and in 5 minutes, I got a call from the delivery boy that the vehicle broke down and that he will deliver in 90 minutes approximately. Two things I want to highlight here, 1. This is the third-fourth time the ZopNow delivery vehicle broke down since I ordered and 2. The delivery boy cared less to inform me in advance, it was an FYI that the vehicle broke down. The delivery boy talked to me as if it were my problem that it broke down!!
I was frustrated but was leaving to work, so I shifted my focus and headed to work. I got a call from a CSR (Mayur), I told him I'd be home by 9:00 PM, so delivery at 9:00 PM would do provided it is within 10:00 PM because who delivers groceries after 10:00 PM, I know 10:00 PM is too late as well. Mayur promised that I'd get it delivered within the 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM window. After Mayur's call, In the in the entire day, I got at least 10 calls from customer service and delivery team trying to coordinate at several times and I continued to tell them that I had chosen and confirmed 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM slot.
It is 10:15 PM when I am typing this, there is no news.
There is no flow of information between the back-end office and the delivery team and their management is so hopeless that they need to bother the customer with calls so may times to delivery groceries for once. I wonder what type of logistics ZopNow uses that every now and then the vehicles break down or is it just me?
The most exasperating part is that some of these guys cannot speak in English (official language) or Hindi (national language) or Kannada (regional/local language). These languages are my limit, some guys have clearly told me they don't understand what I say. How would one coordinate with these bright team of ZopNow???
The CSRs are robotic, two standard responses I received were "I am sorry, ma'am" and "I understand".
I was so confident through out the day that I would get the ordered items delivered that I did not arrange for dinner, I will end up eating cereals again. Thanks to ZopNow! (sarcasm it was if in case you don't follow)
The purpose is not served even after writing this review, I was in need of the items ordered that I did not receive and I was disturbed at work.
You guys should reconsider being in this business and I mean it!
P.S. 1 star that I've chosen is just to be able to publish this post openly, it is worse than "hated it"!!
