Very nice zoo, nicely implemented as a concept. I recognize Africa in it ... Many beautiful enclosures, lovingly designed.
The animals are easy to see. Well-kept area. There is a beautiful sports field for children.

Nice zoo. Children up to 17 years are free of charge this is unbelievably great! Nice places to eat and sit. Of course, the food is a little more expensive but for that, as mentioned, free entrance for children. Enclosures are also clean and nicely done.

A place for all ages, ideal for a little trip. The new elephant enclosure has become extremely beautiful and you can see that the animals feel well. Many information boards invite you to learn about the animals. Many other enclosures are worth seeing. The biodiversity is completely appropriate for Magdeburg and the size of the zoo. For the food in the park is also provided and priced human. The terrain invites you to stay. Also, the entrance fees are completely ok, especially if you want to go there with children and young people (up to 15 years admission free, students 9 euros and adults 13 euros)
The admission prices are extremely fair and the system itself is very well maintained and well laid out. It is perfect for the children because it is spacious and you are not so crowded. The only downside is the choice of food. Very little choice for children. Our two had to resort to pasta, that only typical of children. However, the "sauce" was more red water than actually sauce. We had chicken ... that was awesome!

In itself a very nice zoo, but unfortunately I eat something to complain about.
& although the lunch was cold (I had rice pudding) too expensive & we had to wait which is not bad in itself, only the employees were overwhelmed & didn't really know what to do.
Then in the toilets not so clean & everything full of cobwebs.
But really nice in itself.
But in some enclosures I wonder if the animals are really happy.

The Zoo Magdeburg is worth a trip, very nice new facilities and very child-friendly, from free admission to 15 to the playgrounds. The exhibition exhibits and signage very instructive.
A very nice zoo, at a really cheap entrance fee. The facilities are very well maintained and very clearly laid out. Anyone who complains about the entrance fees here should go to the HaHannov Zoo. There you can easily pay 26.50 for a card. That's why we prefer to come to Magdeburg.
We were there for the Dandelion Festival and it was wonderful again, thanks to the people's voice. Thank you for allowing us to be a part again.

Great zoo, right in town. Beautiful spacious animal enclosure and a nice selection selbiger. Nice green and therefore a lot of shade. For a coffee break, there is also a lodge.
Smaller but very nicely designed zoo. The entrance fees are fair. Unfortunately, I can only give 2 stars because during our visit many visitors were in the park with their dogs. I think that the inlet for dogs should be prohibited. Especially with large dogs, at least muzzle should be mandatory.

Unfortunately, you still have not learned to leave the restaurants open half an hour longer in nice warm weather.
Very well-kept zoo, children free entry, wagons can be rented or you can bring your own, several possibilities to buy an ice cream or a bite to eat or drink. Also the possibility to consume what you have brought with you. Nice large playground with various play equipment, for all children ages, toilets are far from Mutti seating.

I made it to the zoonacht for the first time. With my girls, was a nice evening with good music u had great weather .

A successful trip with friends (18 and 19), so it's not just fun for the little ones! The zoo also has a lot to offer in winter, the lion cubs were our highlight!

A very nice zoo. We were here for the first time with the children. Their prices are extremely cheap compared to other German zoos. The area is large, there are many animals to see and the expansion of the zoo has been very successful. Getting there was a bit difficult for us because the zoo is surrounded by construction sites and does not seem to have its own parking lot.
Pleasant and relaxed walk past the animal enclosures to the newer part of the Africombo. I liked it a lot, as the elephants are now better housed.

I was back at Magdeburg Zoo for the first time in three years and felt like a stranger. So many new things have been added in the last few years that the zoo has not been recognized. A very nice zoo that is not as big and crowded as many others. The newly created elephant enclosure looks very modern, spacious and appropriate to the species. The young foxes are wonderful to watch while romping around. You get very close to the chimpanzees and can interact with them through glass panels if you want them.
Culinary is also very well catered for with a restaurant or snack bar.
Nice day-filling zoo that does not stand still and has some real rarities.

The zoo has become nicer after the renovation, but there are minus points that affect the keeping of the animals - the elephants are standing around very bored in the corner. Maybe you should keep the animals busy. That works very well in other zoos.
The zoological garden in Magdeburg has a very nice walk-around parakeet aviary. In the aviary are the following animals: Budgerigar, Bourke Parakeet, Multi-color Parakeet, Australian Parakeet, Princess of Wales Parakeet, Spitzschopf Dove, Parma Kangaroo, Wongataube and Masked Lapwing.
One has the possibility to feed the birds with millet, however, the provided daily rations were quickly sold out.
