A Chicago landmark and place you must see. The all time exhibits like the TRex Sue are spectacular but this place really shines with the traveling exhibits. It's able to get things that aren't going anywhere else in North America and you won't be able to see without travelling long distances.

This place is awesome sauce! Even though it has a lot of the same exhibits since I was a kid, they keep adding/cycling more things through. Their events are top notch too! The sleepover was amazing! Definitely go!

Had a great time here with the family. The field museum is always a great idea if you're looking for something to do. It's right across the street from Soldier Field me being a big bears fan that's a plus also The Jurassic world exhibit is far better Then the dinosaur exhibit at Brookfield zoo but it's only around for a couple more months so hurry & enjoy!!!

I haven't been to the Field Museum in many years. The walk from the Orange Line (public transportation) through Grant Park to the Field Museum was lovely. Inside the Museum there were countless exhibits to see. I especially liked the Gems.

This place has a treasure of artifacts. My favorite was seeing the animals close by as I can sense how big these animals are in person such as the rhino...the bears...wolves etc. So seeing them in their state gave me a sense how it must feel to stand near them in real life. This was very enjoyable for most and they also have meoteorite fisplays as well among orher things.

I ve been transported to the movie Night at the Museum. That s what it felt like! Unfortunately we attended Field during a school-field-trip day so hundreds of kids were racing through exhibits, yelling loudly, and being obnoxious. Luckily this calmed down as the day went on. Seriously you ll need a WHOLE day if you want to visit everything in here. Even five hours is too short. The exhibits range from the historical (Ancient Egyptian tombs or dinosaur fossils) to the scientific (natural gems or the physics of how life moves). Some exhibits are not as captivating as others (most of the Native American artifacts just didn t capture me nor other guests) while others are more immersive and demand attention. This is an extremely large museum and it was actually very easy to get lost despite some (kinda) attempts at maintaining a spoke-and-wheel organization. I had a great time learning inside here.

Loved this museum! We didn t leave ourselves enough time before closing to see everything, so I definitely want to go back.
There are so many different exhibits and they are all so well done.
I imagine you could spend an entire day here was we only saw a few exhibits within the 3 hours we had before they closed.

The exhibits here are absolutely amazing. I could wander around for hours and just get lost in all they have to show. Very informational and huge. I would definitely choose this museum over the Shedd Aquarium.

Visiting from out of town, we enjoyed walking around Museum Campus. The Field Museum is a really cool place to visit. It has a lot of different exhibits to walk through. We spent most of the day there and we couldn't get through the whole museum. If you're going to visit, it's definitely worth a spreading the visit over multiple days so you can see everything without rushing and missing anything. The Egyptian area is definitely worth a visit!

Just an amazing museum, incredible collection and so much to see for both kids and adults. Good day trip and multiple eating options from cheaper to more expensive as well as eating areas for bag your own lunch. The different exhibits that roll through there are always worth seeing.....truly a world class Museum.

We spent an entire day at the Field museum with our 23 and 25 year old daughters. I highly recommend the all access pass, a comfortable pair of walking shoes, and a strong desire to learn new things and be amazed by this amazing collection of Natural History artifacts. The bistro bar was fantastic and all the staff at the other food service areas were friendly, if not a bit overworked during the lunchtime Rush. The food was excellent and reasonably priced given that this is a tourist attraction. We loved the Crepes at the bistro bar and the choices for uniquely named craft beers.

Huge museum with many rooms. Inside it is a chaos, some contents are interesting but they are badly explained and signaled. The movie about the dinosaur is pretty old-fashioned. Good place to waste your time.

Let me say that I feel I've had the full Chicago experience... I came to a dense city, with super-scary drivers, and had all my money taken away.

I really enjoyed the museum, it has been on my bucket list since The Ghost and the Darkness, but that is certainly not the only thing to recommend it. Seeing the 'real' Sue and learning some of the things they have found out about T-Rexs and their ilk in just the last ten years was amazing.

The unexpected thing I enjoyed most was the Hall of Birds. Truly impressive in both scope and scale.

Just make sure you go in with your second mortgage approved. $25 to park, $24 per person at the door (not including access to three 'premium' exhibits), $15 for a snack and bottle of water, then another $40 if you also want to see the museum next door, and $35 for a (one person) meal if you stay long enough to get hungry(?). For me it will be 'once in a lifetime'.

I came here because 'The Relic' is one of my favourite movies. I found entry a bit steep, especially since some exhibits cost extra and other cities have free museums. It's quite large inside and packs a lot in without feeling cramped. Also not too 'wordy' and relies heavily on visuals. Not the best museum I've been to but you could easily spend a day here.

Very interesting museum with many different exhibitions. All the exhibitions are geard towards our planet. A lot about animals, habitats, cultures and history. I found too many interesting exhibits to see in one day. The special (an extra 7 dollars) wildlife photographer exhibit impressed me the most. The pictures are just amazing! If you go there, ask if they still jave it and ensure to have the extra ticket.

Awesome museum. Free admission if you get one of the passes from the library (highly recommend). Plenty to do. Spent about 4 hours here and still didn t get to see everything. Good for kids as well. The food was also surprisingly not bad.

One of my favorite museums in the whole country. Its huge and you will need at least 3 hours there to see everything. They always have special exhibits coming and going which I find awesome. I live in the area so I've been coming here since I was a kid. I came here recently to see the new dinosaur Maximo and he is massive!

I adore this museum and have since I was 6 years old.
I have a love affair with Sue and the Egyptian exhibit that will likely never end lol. Always, always, ALWAYS, worth the trip here.
Not big on the 3d movies myself but literally everything else is great.

The restaurant upstairs is pricey but there is also one downstairs that is more affordable.

So much to see and do for all ages and interests. We were lucky and visited during the week in the summer when they are open until 9pm or we would have missed half of what was open. Don't miss this if you are in Chicago and want to know about the world you live in.

Very big this museum, you can bring your food and eat inside the museum, restrooms clean and excellent service, if you go to Chicago you have to visit this museum.
Also you can choose one movie to watch in 3D totally free, I recommend to make more than 5 hours to enjoy all the visit.

Kind of disappointed you have to pay extra to see the more interesting artifacts and exhibits. If your coming to Sue the T-Rex, his/her fossils are being relocated located to a different area within the museum. Don't worry, there are plenty of other dinosaurs fossils to see on display. Overall I was impressed. Good way to kill a few hours on a rainy afternoon. Just wish the extra exhibits didn't cost more to see.

Absolutely loved it here and didn t have enough time to see everything. Cost is fair and they provide several options for those that wish to see the museum and do not have the financial means. Brought my children here while we visited the city and we all enjoyed it so much!
