Doctors who walk around there are 90% in training ...

Doctors who walk around there are 90% in training and are not specialized enough to actually give good advice.
You are pushed from one side to the other.
-After another nurse finally 4x (this after begging, no one was present, my arm was fur and blue).
- my delivery took 2.5 days. In the meantime 12 different doctors who all did not know what to do. Finally the last one who decided to do a caesarean section but luckily because it turned out that my baby was stuck and had a swelling in his head, which made a natural delivery impossible. When my son was born I was not allowed to dress him myself. I was awakened brutally at night and because I couldn't breastfeed, they forced me to pump even without success. I said I didn't want to anymore so another nurse was called and told me to just hold on.
I told them I couldn't go on and that I was really exhausted and that I hadn't slept in 3/4 days and that I could have a sleeping pill so I could recover and rest. Then a doctor came and told me to talk to a psychologist because they thought I was suffering from depression. (I just had a cesarean delivery and was giving birth for 2.5 days). I asked for a simple request; let me get some sleep and get up to strength. This was turned down!

Nice and professional care, great interest in the patient from the hospital, a really nice memory, although I was there only half a day when I gave birth to my first son and it's a pity that I can't say the same about the Polish hospital where I gave birth to my second child - I couldn't ask a bottle of milk to feed the baby :-( ... I have different experiences in Bronovo where the negative aspects are due to decisions taken by the board of the HMC Concern to gradually dismantle this location over the next few years. For blood tests I think this location could improve its bedside manners or hospitality. For some of the specialist wards and out patient treatment I can only compliment staff for professionalism and care.
Communication is not always optimal, often because policy is set by and with the main location Westeinde in mind. Patient perspective is sometimes lost in various messages.
Bronovo hospital is the closest location for me and therefore health care at a convenient distance.

I have never experienced such negligence, unprofessionally & arrogance from a health care provider. They treat their clients as money making machines, running operations time & time again when the issues could easily be resolved with one initial treatment. Then they lie about why they did it, that is was necessary when the operating dr. Clearly states otherwise. My experience was with the surgery department of the orthopedic department. The operating dr. Left stitches which were instructed to be removed in my finger and caused infection after infection for 6 months. When I tried to bring the negligence to their attention, they denied ever having given the instructions for the stitches to be removed and claimed that the infection was caused by my body Without a clear reason. I suffered incredibly for 6 months & had frightening fevers as well as awful shivers/headaches due to the prolonged infection due to an allergic reaction to the stitches. It was made very clear to the specialist that the material used was causing terrible infections in my body & still my pleads fel on deaf ears. I am outraged & revolted at the amount of unprofessional conduct. With this review I hope to prevent anyone else trusting Bronovo with their care & going through what I went through.

First aid is a department that must prevent people from being admitted. Popped in with mom (91 yrs) at 5pm. At 11 p.m. still on the first aid (after all tests were finally done) and was told that she could go home soon with lungs full of fluid, leaky heart valve and no condition to move 5 meters. After talking to staff on duty, she was allowed to stay and I went home at midnight for something to eat.
Speaking of food, a few years ago Bronovo announced the new restaurant with a lot of fanfare. The food would be top notch and of the best quality. Nothing is left of that now. The quality of the food now seems to be part of a strategy to get customers out even faster.
Friendly discharge is said upon discharge from the hospital. No check-up appointment, no after-treatment, just 'bye'. How terrible it must be if you don't have anyone to keep an eye on your doctor, hospital and pharmacy. Then you live a lot shorter. Can I go after a control lung photo again to see if the medication has helped, there is enough fluid from the lungs and the medication can be stopped. Maybe it's time that we could just have an X-ray taken at the Hema. I'll judge it myself!

What kind of dry is there in the telephone department! When I had called the telephone number, the telephone was answered in a very negative / grumpy tone, and in the end the gentleman was not happy to work. The tone / manner of talking was not good at all! Since I doubted what to do because my mother was quite ill ... when I was transferred to the other department I was well helped! THAT ONE MENEER BEHIND THE TELEPHONE THEY SHOULD FIRST !!! and yet a + point for the lady for the tips and help! I was very much helped by this lady!

One of the main hospitals of The Hague. It is quite modern and offers all medical specialisations. The offered care tends to be a little better than the Dutch average as they are used to expats, but do not expect miracles as the Dutch healthcare constraints apply. Staff tends also to be more polite than in other hospitals (again this is relative and there are rude staff). It has a fairly good emergency department. The really positive part of the hospital is the birth giving section which is of the highest and latest standard. Birthing rooms are impeccable and equipped with the latest infrastructure. Service during deliveries is also great.

Very easily accessible instead of the Westeinde drama in the city or antoniushove far away. Ugly action from the HMC. Degree of care. Had an appointment with orthopedic surgeon at 3:05 pm. Was there already at 2:15 PM. Immediately sent to radiology on arrival and immediately helped. Back at the orthopedics department, I was immediately helped again. . Was outside again 2:45 PM. Never in my life have I been helped so quickly in a hospital. Absolutely great, thanks again for the quick treatment

The quality and expertise of the medical staff is excellent, however, making appointments at both the Bali and telephone can be better.
I registered this morning at the necessary Bali and after an hour of waiting I started to inform. It turned out afterwards that the receptionist had not forwarded the registration! Without my promotion I might have been waiting until Christmas !!!

The medical specialists are in order, the medical (ambulatory) care is not. Patient satisfaction is not important, so everything that happens before and after the visit to the affected physician is very careless. I have experienced this numerous times over several years and in various departments.

Angry pulmonologists everywhere because I had weathered myself as a patient. I had received a "wrong" non-curative treatment. I fled to Germany and had an operation there. That's why I'm still alive. Ordinary care at last.

Have to pay over 1000eur for IUDs that did not work!! Different doctors told me that I didn't have to pay for the second and third IUDs after the previous ones did not work (despite their measurements and recommendations), encouraged me to go through the uncomfortable procedures, only afterwards to have the hospital bill me for things I was told I didn't have to pay. When I told them what the doctors told me, they said that those doctors have left the hospital. This is just ridiculous and very unfair!! I feel robbed. Nobody takes accountability in this hospital.

What a sh * t hospital, I was with my daughter at the smash GP station and she had a bladder infection crying and screaming in pain. They couldn't help it, they said later I get a call back from an assistant and I should not have been sent away because she wanted to see if they could give something for it. I would be called back by that doctor I am still waiting for the phone call it is getting worse never go back to it for myself or children

what a top hospital! together with my daughter in the endometriosis center. very friendly and expertly helped. After 10 years of treatment in another hospital, this is a relief. we feel heard and all of a sudden there are opportunities again. my compliments to this team

Very friendly people all and the care will be fine. But it's all so incredibly awkwardly organized .... unbelievably bad !! I call neatly to make an appointment with the GP for my son that I am almost sure his arm is broken. Then get an appointment for an hour later, ten to nine in the evening. We are on time, so we can go to the doctor half an hour after our appointment (!). He looks for a minute (because: broken) and sends us to the emergency room for a photo. We have to wait half an hour before we can go on for a photo. Then back to the doctor (why?) Where we have to wait an hour for the results to arrive. Apparently an expert looked at it, It's broken (yes duh). The doctor spends a minute writing down some information and then sends us back to the emergency room. There we have to wait half an hour, then we are taken to the plaster room. After a half hour wait a surgeon comes to look at the arm. Re-establishes 'it is broken' and says that it needs plaster cast. (gosh ...). Then wait an hour and ask the desk several times if they have forgotten us. Answer from the lady behind the counter 'EVERYONE wants to be helped quickly' .... (No madam, I don't want to be helped quickly, it was helped 2 hours ago. I would like to be helped SLOW but we are already at that time over ... but if you hurry up you can help me VERY SLOWLY ....). Finally a nurse comes who puts a plaster cast very skillfully and very friendly and very quickly and explains practical matters. Final score: almost 4.5 hours in the hospital, helped by a total of 14 (!) Men / women, for a treatment of 12 minutes. Lovely people and good care, but organizationally completely insane. My son was completely exhausted, glad I am not a football fan (was the night Ajax played).

If you are a foreigner living in the area and you will have to leave the country at one point, it's really complicated to obtain any document, invoice or justification of your payment once you have left. I'm still waiting for the invoice in order to be reimbursed by my insurance since weeks now and once you had left the country they really do not help you. Plus, I had paid for an X Ray in this hospital and they never gave me the picture or any document about what I have done there ... Not professional at all and really complex organization ...

Good hospital in the middle of the city. Plenty of parking spots. Fast and efficient service. Good signage and easy to navigate inside. Lot of departments with their own specialists and clinics. Centrally managed appointments make it easy for patients and visitors alike.

Left a piece of the placenta in my wife after birth. It happens/it could be worse! they said 7 weeks later, after obvious serious health issues she had. Got it removed in another hospital, simply because we do not trust them any longer. In addition, different people with different opinions and advice during pregnancy. They always have no time because they are understaffed. If you are unlucky and have an issue on Friday evening...good luck! Hopefully you are ok till Monday.

Great midwives, very professional (senior) doctors (last year I gave birth in Bronovo), helpful staff at all the receptions.
Last Thursday (June 29) I was, however disappointed by the attitude of the young lady at the reception of the blood laboratory, she was quite impatient and rude towards me and some other patients, in violation of all medical ethics and confidentiality she asking on the top of her voice, so that the whole waiting area can here "Why did the huisarts prescribed this test to be done?".

Our experiences with the delivery and maternity wards where my partner and I stayed for a few days are fantastic. Nurses and doctors are understanding and go far for care for mother and child. Bringing a bed for me as a late-night partner was no problem at all and even the facility staff were very friendly in the care. An extra meal was arranged in this way. The medical care for mother and child was competent and good, also by the less experienced nurses and co-doctors. We do have some experience with hospital care, but Bronovo has at least a fantastic team in maternity and midwifery departments.

I was studying in the Netherlands and developed bleeding early in my pregnancy. I was referred to HMC Bronovo by my GP and was asked to pay 175 upfront because they did not accept any of my 3 international insurances. I was also told that this was the total cost for the visit. While the visit with the doctor itself went well (a physical exam and ultrasound), the real nightmare began 5 months later when they sent me a bill for an additional 308 with a very rude message and a firm deadline. They also refused to provide any justification for the cost or an invoice in English. My husband is making me pay it for integrity sake but I really am disgusted by their poor professionalism, service and lack of honesty from the beginning. Beware!

Used to be a great hospital. Now it is completely overcrowded, also very difficult to find a parking space inside. Much too many secretarial/admin staff that are not always friendly with patients. I counted 6 (six!) secretaries at the reception for a single service. Medical staff are still really great, but clearly stressed by the overcrowding.

The specialist iof the orthopedic department is not very profesional.I went to see them due to a knee problem that it was affecting also the hip.I had x ray of the knee and he said it was perfectly fine.( Knee was not on its right place.)The only comment the specialist said when I asked him his opinion was -I don"t know,maybe is something connected to the way you walk.He sent me back to the physiotherapist since the one he recomended me had "special.machines"-I found out later he was talking about a a simple treadmill. Everything turned much worse.
I do not recomend the Bronovo Orthopedic department as he seemed not be very interested in helping me from the beginning and he
Had a very dismissive acttitude.I don"t now if being a foreign had any connection with his unproffesional attitude.

Visiting The a Netherlands for our annual holiday. Had to visit on an Emergency and the treatment was first class, quick, efficient, kind & friendly. Thank you very much to all staff for their help. I wish the health service in the U.K. was like this.

Doctors are arrogant with no respect for patients when and if you finally get to see one; I was personally misdiagnosed and I hardly received an apology. They waste a lot of patient's time with administration and inexperienced personnel until you get to be seen by someone who is at best an unsupervised opinionated doctor in training. They never have a holistic view and their medical personnel thinks in silos and only within their specialty. it is a nice looking hospital but it would be great if it was to be staffed with doctors ...
