Zemo men s store was recommended to me by a close friend and I m glad it was. I ended up buying a completely custom suit. Mr. zemo is very knowledgeable about the measurements that needed to be taken, and asked exactly how I like to wear my clothing. This lead to everything fitting perfectly. I am extremely satisfied with the fit and quality of my custom suit. I will definitely be designing another one In the future. I also got a few custom tailored shirts from zemo. And they fit and launder very well. The price point of everything was very reasonable.

Definitely a store you want to visit. Here's the story: My son needed a tuxedo for his Junior Prom and a few of his friends from his school suggested that he try out this establishment. Well, my son first called the establishment and spoke with the owner, Joseph, to get some information. Mr. Zemo gave him some information and was very pleasant to speak to. We then decided to take a drive to Stamford and see what Mr. Zemo had. Well, we were not disappointed. Mr. Zemo guided our son through the process and made sure that he left feeling he got the tuxedo he wanted. Mr. Zemo even gave us a discount, which we greatly appreciated. We asked Mr. Zemo how long he has been in buisness and when he told us 64 years, we were really amazed. The establishment may not be a Men's Warehouse type (in the sense that it isn't in a new building but I love older things as well as appreciate the personal touch from a mom and pop store) but it is clean, well kept, organized and a really good selection. The established and the owner make you feel as if you are visiting a family member. Just great all around. So if you need a tuxedo or suit, check him out. You will not be disappointed, trust me. With one son getting ready to go into High School and another graduating from High School soon, we will be seeing Mr. Zemo again!

Joe Zemo is a great guy, fun to chat with and very knowlegeable on men's attire. He treats his customers fairly and conducts business the old fashioned way, which is quite refreshing in today's world of chain/franchise retail. This is your one stop shop for men's clothing in Stamford, especially if you are looking for something more than just another MW suit.

Probably the nicest clothes I will ever wear in my life. When you go to Zemo's, you get the best quality there is. I originally was going to use an online company for my groomsmen attire, until I walked by Zemo's window and saw the most beautiful white dinner jacket. From that point on, I was hooked. Joe is no BS - he won't waste your time. He will personally take the time to help you find the right tuxedos/suits for your wedding and PERSONALLY adjust the outfits to fit properly. In addition, he includes quality accessories to complete your look (BEAUTIFUL french cuffs, braces, etc). I look forward to going back prior to my next occasion. If you don't use Zemo's Men's Store for your formal attire, you're making a grave mistake.

I took my son there for his prom tux because the school recommended him. That was a mistake. When my son was being fitted he rushed through the process and was very poor at explaining anything about tux s to my son. I know about men s fashion and helped my son through the process. But I felt like he was bullying my son into choosing what he wanted to seek.
I was also interested in possibly buying a men s suit from him because he said his products were better than Brooks Brothers.
Well when we came back to pick up the tux at the time he told us. We were waiting and I was looking at suits on display, He told me not to handle his $1200 jackets like I was trying to steal them. Then he told us to come back for the tux without a time. I told him I have a business to run just like him he then gave me a time.
After pickup the vest he swore would match the color of my son s date was so off we didn t use it. And this is a men s fashion experts pick.
The bottom line is if you like rude, and unprofessional go here. If not go somewhere else. Also if the owner is reading. I bought more than $1200 of suits from Brooks Bothers and they now have a customer for like you could of had.

He is the best. Made my husband and I very happy had all the colors and if not he will get them.

I have been getting custom tailored clothing from Joe Zemo for over 7 years. Suits, sport jackets, trousers have all been fit and tailored with care and real attention to detail. Customer service here is top notch and Joe is dedicated to making sure the clothes I buy fit perfectly even if it takes multiple fittings. Zemo Men's Store gets my highest accolades for service, product knowledge and attention to detail.

THE OWNER IS ALWAYS IN THE STORE. THE TAILOR IS EXCELLENT. JOE THE OWNER DELIVERS WHAT HE PROMISES AND WHEN HE PROMISES.

I walked in a few weeks before my company's holiday party to rent a suit. I spoke with Joe and he had me try on different jackets and pants. The whole time Joe rushed through everything and would not here you out as to what your expectations were as a customer. Joe kept handing me pants and jackets that were swimming on me and insisted they were appropriate. I've never once had this experience anywhere at a men's formal rental store. After going back and forth I finally got him to agree to the pants and jacket that fit nicely. He advised to come in a week later a day before my holiday party to try it on, however he charged me on this day. I come back a week later and all a sudden he's back to the pants I had said no to, and he pretended like these were the tapered pants and I had tried on.. mind you their about several inches wider at the heal, make no mistake they were the wrong pants and he knew it. He advised to come back again the next day, the day of my holiday party to once again pick up the suit and he'd have the right pants for me. He rushes me out as he is with other customers and tells me to just bring the suit to him on Wednesday . I get home and there is holes in the pants, the jacket is three sizes to large. When his store was finally open again I immediately came in and advised Joe I couldn't wear the suit and had asked if he could issue a refund. I even showed him pictures of the holiday party clearly not in the suit. Even though he saw how big the jacket was because I tried it on right there and saw the rips in the pants, Joe refused and said nope you took the suit, not my fault. He then went to say unprovoked, you can try to take me to court but I've gone to small claims court several times and trust me you won't win. Clearly he's had this experience before. I don't generally write reviews but I'm hoping this will deter other people from having to go through this experience. He doesn't replace suits that are damaged and will lend them up hoping you don't notice. The prices are the same as any other rental places so you don't save money going this route. It cost me 200+ for nothing. His business practices are unethical. Go somewhere else! lol

Update: he responded below saying he gave a full refund on a pant rental. Mind you this is 40.00 on the cost of a 250.00 suit. A suit that has to be worn together or you can t wear it at all. So he acknowledges the pants are ripped and still would not give a full refund on the entire suit. Guys a joke, look at this thought process.

I have purchased for quite sometime at some of the finer men s stores in the area. A colleague of mine recommended Zemo Men s Store of Stamford, CT for custom made clothing. The owner is very experienced and very knowledgeable. I am 110% satisfied and I will become a loyal customer. The fit and finish of the garments was amazing. Thank you Mr. Zemo.

In a bind being from overseas I went into Zemo's looking for some tailoring work. He explained very politely that he typically does not do this but because of my situation he would help me out. Comes very highly recommended and after his kind service I will be surely giving him my future formal wear business.

I have started going last year to get my son's junior prom tuxedo, and went again this year for his senior prom. Definitely the place to go for tuxedo rentals (and for suits). The owner Joe knows his stuff, immediately pulled out the right size for my son, everything fit perfectly and was ready when needed. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for men's wear in Stamford.

Mr. Zemo did an excellent job in preparing my son's suit for prom. He was extremely organized, helpful and very informative. He is a true professional who I would go back to for any occasion. His interpersonal skills are fantastic. I would give him and his store a 10+.

Joe is a great guy! I use him for all my Black Tie events. My son just had his Senior Prom and Joe took care of him and he looked fantastic. A great product at a great price. I'd recommend him to anyone!

Joe Zemo is excellent. I needed to hire some morning suits for my wedding at the Waveny House in New Canaan, which are not terribly common in the US so I was prepared for a rough ride. I looked into a few stores in NYC and locally in Stamford, but Joe was by far the most welcoming and engaging of all those I spoke to. From my first visit, he had me try on a number of different styles and cuts that he had in store (cannot stress how useful it is to have a large in-house inventory) and offered knowledgeable advice and suggestions. He explained traditions and customs for suits (why morning suits as so called, how to properly button a vest, which shirts and ties match which suits), but was willing to let me customize the setup. However in all this he was unrelenting in ensuring that whatever style or cut I chose it was the right fit and looked good - If I tried on some trousers which looked ever so baggy, he would be looking for another smaller size, and the same for shirts and jackets. When it came to suiting up my motley crew of oddly shaped groomsmen, Joe s eye for the right fit shone through as he picked out just the size item for each of them. It was impressive to see and my groomsmen all said they felt they looked amazing. To be sure, Joe can be direct, but its with an honest and accuracy that gets the job done right. I cannot recommend Joe Zemo and his Men s Suit store enough, he did a fantastic job - thanks joe!

I ordered a custom tailored suit from Zemo men's store and could not be happier with the whole experience.
