My mother has been at this facility for about 6 months after a fall and with dementia. The staff is generally caring and attentive, although as in any place there are some who are genuinely caring and trying to help and others who are not so giving. Being a nice patient like my mom will definitely help your cause. We haven't seen any signs of negligence or abuse or excessive dirtiness, although there are some nursing home smells from time to time. The food is not particularly bad or good. About 1/4th of the facility is rehab, the rest is long term care. The rehab is excellent but my mom was really too far gone for it to work in her case.

Overall we are happy as this is a small, dog-friendly home that doesn't feel corporate. We are glad we chose a place nearby so we can go over there every day to make sure things are on track and to provide social connection for my mom. Glass of wine every day at 5 with her!

Rooms are dated and shared with just a curtain separating the halves, so a key thing is finding a compatible roommate (is the TV on all the time?) We are lucky and my mom was paired with an ideal roommate for her. There are 4 private rooms for hospice patients, which is a really nice idea. It would be helpful if they also invested a bit of effort fixing up the other rooms to offer more privacy to the residents.

This place is one of the best nursing homes in the region for both nursing care and rehab! I've also found it to be a great place to work. The staff is exceptionally caring and attentive. It's 1 of only 2 in the region that I'd feel comfortable sending my loved ones to for nursing care and/or rehab.

Middle level and upper level management staff seem to have difficulty with the English language. Repeated care instructions are required. Signed agreements do not seem to "stick." Effectively, they just do what they want and disregard the wishes of the prescribing doctor, patient, or supporting family.

Communication with the family is extremely limited and often incorrect. Management and professional staff essentially refuse to communicate with the family. The only way to communicate with the staff is by screaming at them in the hallway. They never call and refuse to answer the phone when called.

Phone conversation with lower level staff is difficult as most staff do not speak English.

Worst nursing home in the Seattle area.

Stay away from these people.

I have been to many retirement homes and rehab centers. This place is very exceptional when it comes to the care. The nurses are super caring, loving, and attentive. They're always sitting with the patients and making sure they take their time to have a conversation with them.

Places like these tend to forget that people need something as simple as a talking to. And this place brings that kind of attitude. From what I can see when dropping off a patient; they talk to their patients without any hesitation and with nothing but smiles. If I was older and had to come here, I would be happy to do so.

This place is a hazard! If I can give them a negative star I would! Please if you love your family member, don't place them there. The communication in this facility is nonexistent! One of the administion coordinator who is also a nurse is the most incompetent person I have ever met! He's very very rude and yells at family for asking question about love ones. I don't know how the facility is even keeping him there. I work in this field so I know how they are suppose to treat family members. He was verbally abusive to me and my mother in-law to the point that We we're both scared he's going to take it out of my father in-law! That's how bad this place is! I have to reach out to the administrator or even call state because at this level of care I'm scared for the residents that live there.

I have volunteered here and am appalled by the lack of friendliness and attentiveness of the aides and nurses. They don't smile, they look bored and I saw one instance where I informed one of them that a woman in her wheelchair was crying out in pain because she had pain in her leg after falling asleed (in her chair). He just looked at me and walked away and never came back. The woman slumped over in her wheelchair and went back to sleep. Maybe she should have been put in her bed or checked on????? Depressing place to say the least. It's also dirty.

Inedible food. Absolutely unappealing and nothing anyone would want to eat. Rooms not kept clean. Subpar care due to lack of adequate staffing. I would never bring anyone I loved here to stay.
