Everything here is incredible. My wife and I have tried the almond croissant, pain au chocolat, plain croissant, cinnamon roll, avocado toast, poppyseed bagel with cream cheese, coconut macaroons, chocolate chip cookies, and vegan banana bread. Everything is top notch. In fact, it s so good that I m embarrassed that we haven t tried more items.

And for being a bagel enthusiast, I very much appreciate that there are poppyseeds on both halves of the bagel and that they absolutely load it up with poppyseeds.

We don t even in live in Miami, but this place is a must stop for us whenever we are in town.

The service is friendly too. The design/layout of the place is great. Your eyes and taste buds will be very pleased. If it s a busy line, it s well worth the wait.

The food was unbelievable. We also picked up a couple baguettes for later and they were amazing as well. The kitchen staff was working very hard to fulfill the orders. Unfortunately, the front of the house did not seem to have a care in the world. People were walking out and I was very close to do the same.

We were in the area and found this spot, it's got a very hip vibe to it which is nice. The food was pretty basic I wouldn't say anything to special. The reason for 3 stars was because the place doesn't have the best ventilation and it gets smokey in there which wasn't the most comfortable feeling in our eyes.
Probably won't go back because of that.

A special find. The wonderful scent of fresh baked breads and patries makes its way up the sidewalk, they have an awesome selection of sandwiches and salads. I wish I could come here everyday.

This place is a local favorite, which is obvious to anyone walking by as it is extremely crowded. Waiting to place your order can take very long. There are a few flour-free and gluten-free options, but the taste of the food is average. Prices are outrageous.

I've been here 3 or 4 times in the past few months and have always been impressed with the quality of the food so I give them 5 stars for that, hands down, the food and presentation is fantastic!

But I unfortunately give them less stars for the cluster of a mess at the counter when ordering food, and servers whizzing by and putting a plate in front, and taking off, - we get it, you are busy but you are a restaurant and that's part of the business as well as being friendly and personable, I suggest they get more staff perhaps?
The music was loud on two of the occasions we were there, BUT there was some disco themed day going on which is fun and great! ---but my friend and I were almost yelling at each other for our 9 a.m. breakfast disco party, I appreciate the fun but music not so loud at 9 a.m when trying to talk.
I give them less stars also, because I've never found the staff at the counter to be over friendly. Working in such a cool place with a really cool clientele you think they would be happier and more playful, so have I just come on a bad day or are they just stressed from organizing orders etc. (this isn't all the staff by the way)
I know the owner take tremendous pride in his business and he should, (I've heard great things about him) and this place is all the buzz and I always recommend it to others, but I think a little sensitivity training or pep talk is important for some of the staff there.

This used to be my favorite place to eat! After they split in two, one place becoming a bakery and the other the deli, and removing some of their signature dishes, it's just not as good. It used to be way above average. It's not anymore.

Great prices, amazing food! Favorite kosher eat out place in Florida. During the popular hours, it can take a while to be seated and served. However the servers are really sweet, have great personalities and try their best to give you an enjoyable experience.

Would recommend this place to anyone, as long as you have time and don't mind crowded or slightly niosy spaces. If you do, go towards the end of the day.

Excellent bakery. Offers awesome selection of gluten free pastries. My disappointment, the coffee I ordered, after 10 minutes awaiting, came warm temperature not hot as it supposed to be.
Manager, Attention to details make the difference!!!

The food was good quality, nicely plated, and the atmosphere was nice and spacious. I even came in hot from the weather and the person who took my order was nice enough to give me water before I was served without being asked. Very attentive, friendly staff. :)

This place was absolutely packed on a busy Sunday afternoon but despite that our food (once ordered) was delivered quickly and with friendly service from all the staff members. The menu is simple but absolutely delicious - I enjoyed my grilled cheese and iced latte immensely. It's in a great location with a lot of things to explore nearby so I would definitely return!

The food is good but doesn't justify the long lines or complete disarray/disorganization there.

It's no better than plenty of other artisan bakeries.

I would say don't drive more than 5 minutes to get there and don't wait in line more than 15 minutes once you're there

Have been going here steadily for two years. Have seen the establishment grow and evolve, and the only thing I can say is wow! Zak the Baker has genuinely become the only pasty store I can eat at without regretting it. The food never disappoints, and the quality of the pastries and sandwhiches, as well as the drinks are crazy delicious! Additionally, the service of this place is always fast and quick, regardless of how packed it is. The people working here are always bright as well as welcoming. Will continue to eat at this place!

Live in Tampa and had heard about the bakery so we just had to stop while on vacay. So so please! What a neat location and the treats are amazing! The cinnamon roll was stellar and the guava and cheese croissant was the best I've had. Ever!

This restaurant is amazing the waitress was very kind and friendly and brought us our dishes very fast. The avocado toast with feta on top was delicious! The bread was very crispy on the outside but nice and soft in the inside. The house lemonade was very good, the only thing I would change about it was at the end it was a little watered down because of the ice but it was still yummy. They have the best croissants I have ever had, they were flaky on the outside but nice and doughy in the inside. I will definitely be going back!

Bread is very good, but their best thing I've tried is their apple pie and croissant. It is to die for. I woukd give 5 stars, but they need to add more items in their menu...like eggs! Also, they they have no table salt, butter, jam to offer the customers (?). Weird.

I love this place. When you walk in you see rows and rows of golden brown happiness. All of the pastries are fantastic. I love the Kouign Amann, and the cinnamon roll might be the best one I have ever had. But hands down my favorite thing is a toasted slice of the country wheat bread with peanut butter. This is the best bakery I have been to in Miami for sure.

The concept is very good, the organization terrible, the customer service bad for the reason that they give you everything in pieces your order and you have to be aware of everything is not a relax place, employees think they are doing you a favor by attending you they are not friendly at all. As for the food, it's good but you can not enjoy it ...
What a pity

This location just opened when we visited, so I think it was not what I was expecting, having read about the other location. If you want to buy bread or a slice of quiche, they can fix you up, but if you want something more, this spot may not be ready for you yet.

I've been a fan of Zak the Baker since day one. Love the food and have introduced many friends and family to the bread and pastries especially. However my experience with the girls behind the counter on two occassions on Sunday mornings have left a lot to be desired. Unmotivated, painfully slow and unengaged. It's a poor representation of a fantastic start-up brand that has been doing so well in the emerging Wynwood neighborhood. Inject some life into those girls and maybe I won't cringe when I pull up Sunday mornings to pick up bread...an activity that takes way too long regardless of how many people are in line.

We ordered a small take out order of the bread with butter and jam, figuring that would be fastest. Waited fifty minutes patiently until others who had ordered after us received their significantly larger orders. When explained how long we had been waiting come to find out that the woman working had just been moving around the bag with our order around her work station for the entire time. We watched her move it multiple times instead of putting it out. Only offered a quick sorry and not offered to redo the order. Gave us cream cheese instead of butter. The baked goods were good but the service was horrendous.

Zak did it right! The chocolate croissants are so worth a 16 mile drive. It was so soft and fresh. The double chocolate cookie weighed like a brownie. The cinnamon buns would pair nicely with a hot coffee because it was a bit dry on the edges. Overall, 100% recommended and worth the prices.

Delicious baked goods, emphasis on breakfast/classic pastry items. Very large interior with a lot of seating. Glass windows to the kitchen at the back so you can see the bakers making everything in front of you. Tend to sell out of the most popular items on weekends so get there early. Shop is right on the corner near the popular Wynwood Walls area.
