It was really good chocolate crossaint. And the regular croissant was good and didnt need to add butter. The staff is very nice and my dad liked the coffee. It's a little pricey but worth it

In the heart of Wynwood art district, Zak's is one of the best bakeries in Miami. Lines are out the door and around the corner. Many local restaurants serve Zak's bread and baked goods in their establishment. #FoodMeet
Awesome bakery in Wynwood with some good breads just out from the oven.
Kosher, tastes really good for both breads and pastries and breakfasts, breakfast to the right and left toast avocado
Absolutely love this place! The bread is great, cookies are amazing, the babka out of this world, the granola to die for and the coffee is Panther Coffee (can't go wrong).
Great food but super cocky. Eggs came cold. Would not even refund it. Strange
In addition to they split the bakery and the restaurant. Makes no sense. When we told them it was inconvenient they said a lot of people complained but they don't care
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE !! I used to love Zak the baker, their food & pastries are amazing, I won t deny that but there is something about the people who work there that I don t understand.
Today 09/29/2020 I went to get an avocado toast + blt croissant + an orange juice, they took more than 45 minutes to bring the food that I personally had to go and get cause nobody brought it to me when I had my number and was waiting for this in my table as I was told. When I went to the pick up area my food was ready in a bag and they didn t even know why nobody took it to me and show cero to no interest in my complain about the waiting time. I personally saw how people that got there later than me got their food first than me and were delivered by people that worked there. Everyone except for me. I loved this place but it s not the first time that this has happened to me. The cashier was rude and had no manners on whatsoever. I left disappointed and after today I won t be coming back.
Terrible customer service.
Awesome sandwiches!
Cole slaw had too much mayo.
Carrot salad is simply amazing. Must try
This place is delicious and amazing!!! It like being at Disney world of breads, and baked goods.
Great homemade soups and foods
Great food! Really long line and get a view of the kitchen as they argue and make your food.
Pastries were really good if you are willing to survive the crowd. I will definitely try their borek. Coffee was good but didn t really like their iced tea.
We pre ordered online, which was easy! Drove there to pick it up, waited for a just a few moments. It was delicious, made as ordered and FRESH!! it was just as great as our local Born n Bread.
Amazing bread and pastries. Beware though, no wifi!
Great atmosphere, there is nothing else like it here in Miami. 10 points for being Kosher cholov yisrael. If it's a Sunday be sure to get there early or you'll be waiting in line outside. Hostess took our name but didn't explain we should order at the register once we see a free table..a little confusing. Egg sandwich was ok. If you order shashuka be sure to ask for them to cook the eggs a little, they seemed straight out of the shell. Otherwise it tasted pretty good. Banana Cinnamon Donut was out of this world. Blueberry brioche, great too. American coffee wasn't the best. Ice green tea was delish. Forgot to mention, they have incredible bread.
Zak's is one of those bakeries that I'd come back to daily if I lived in the area. I stopped in on a Thursday and go a few different pastries, just to try out the spread. Everything I had was so delicious I couldn't believe it. The cinnamon roll was the best thing I ordered and possibly the best I've ever had. If you're in the area make sure to check this bakery out.
Best brunch in Wynwood! Authentic, delicious and hip.
Helped set them up through their Kickstarter campaign and so glad I did! Their sandwiches are unreal and the pastries are delicious. But it all about the bread!
Great location, atmosphere and coffee. I would like to see 1 or 2 more vegan options and a few more varieties of milks. They do have a Banana Bread that I did not try. I had to leave after awhile because the smell of the food was soaking into my clothes. I wasn t ready for the experience.
A bit pricey, but very nice staff and delicious, healthy food.
Best choice of delicious baked goods on the planet. Jason behind the counter is the best to describe the items and cater to anyone's cravings! Try the hibiscus tea.
Great coffee! yet a little pricey. But it has variety of choices! Highly recommend for a small group or coffee date. Laid back feel but everyone around you is studying. Parking is a little hard but it's worth it
Busy, but absolutely worth it! Jason was incredibly personable, cool, calm, and collect and the absolute best.
The food was simply amazing. The apple pie was delicious. The banana bread was amazing (and I'm nowhere near a vegetarian). Simply amazing in all the best ways
Yes, it s one of the best bakeries! Fresh and tasty. BUT it s extremely loud and busy! I d come back in a weekday to enjoy their pastries without crowd..
Awesome customer service. Delicious bread. Order the bread with jam and butter and got the cutest little jam jar! Cafe latte was one of the best around. Coming back for sure!!!
Favorite bakery in Miami. Everything taste amazing, the service is beyond great. A must-go place to visit in Wynwood.
Zak the Baker is the bakery in Miami. I have been 4 times in the past month. I am so confident that anyone would love eating here that I will pay for someone who believes that there is a better bakery in South Florida. Try anything. Seriously you'll love it.
Cannot comment on the baked goods because it was a 90 minute wait - we gave up. If you are dining in or just want to pick up a loaf and go, it does not matter because there is only one line. Service goes at a crawl - little urgency to move orders along. One of the people behind the counter - a rotund fellow with pink shaded glasses - thought it a better idea to tell everyone how long the line was rather than move the lone along. I am sure the bakery products are fantastic - but the service is inept. Shame because family was in town.
Good spot for lunch. Can be bit crowded and chaotic during the peek lunch time! Enjoyed it.
I once called before I went there to order to go, and they didn't answer the phone. When I got there, after driv8ng 25minutes, while it said they were open, they said they were closed. A: if the store is completely empty and you are closing early: ANSWER YOUR PHONE.
B:update the hours if you're closing early.
Genrally though, delicious Food, great prices, and nice rustic setting.
One downside. Out of the two times I was there, music was blaring once to the point I couldn't have a comfortable conversation.
Any of the breads are super flavorful and shock you for being so good. Reminiscent of Tartine in SF, just need to offer more pastries to display their talent. Worth going out of your way for every week!
Today I picked up an olive sourdough bread loaf @ Whole Foods. In fact I would offer a 4.5 stars . Near the very best I have tasted in America . Could use more olives to reach 5 stars . At least for me I find this one of the very best fresh breads .
Great food, but not a great customer service, too long time waiting and the attention was kind of rude.
Pure indulgence. Totally loved their babka cake. Never had anything like that before. Goes well with an ice cold matcha :)
Great service as well.
Delicious food.
Edit: This place changed completely and is nothing like it used to be. I'm receding my review.
They removed all the great food from the menu and now have a tiny menu with limited options and exceptionally high prices (and a mandatory 18% graduity on top)
Amazing artisan bakery, huge shout-out to Denise for being the best! Definitely recommend coming here, such an amazing place!
Very good bakery in wynwood - recommended! we spent some time in this bakery and drunk a coffee (espresso and cappuccino) and ate 2 croissants...both were very delicious! it's worth a visit!
Cool spot. Lots of fresh gooodies. Loved the espresso.
Delicious! Be ready for a bit of a wait if you come at prime time. Their bread is outrageously good
Rip-OFF Complete Very $$$ business ABUSE and NO Ethical Don't go this Place
I haven't been to the bakery, but I purchased Zak's Crunchy Granola from Whole Foods. It's delicious!
The food was divine!! Best little secret in Miami!!
When I got there I let her know I realized I was a few minutes
Nice bakery. Really good warm food. Love there tea.
Everything is so good you can't go wrong! I recommend the 100% rye cookies
What a place! Talk about a line. But where there s a line, you know the food is good! This bakery is epic. We sampled a few things and they were all delicious. Grab a number as you walk in the door, this is to order food/coffee. Next step, grab a table! It is hard to get one, so pounce as soon as you see people moving. Best coffee we have had in Miami so far and the service was great, not to mention pretty quick considering the boards of ravenous folk they are serving!
No substitutions allowed on the menu, makes choosing certain non-dairy options difficult.
Artisan bakery cafe
We had a wonderful lunch at this popular bakery cafe right near the Wynwood Walls. The bread was sensational - it was the best bread that we've had in the USA. We loved our quiche and salad and our breakfast platter. The chocolate and walnut babka was amazing and even the coffee was outstanding. This is artisan baking at it's best. If you want to have lunch, be prepared for a long wait - but we thought that it was worth it!!
Cool exterior and interior. Extremely busy. Not a lot of low carb options
The avocado toast and the cheese borrecas. The best choice.
The place looks nothing short of amazing. Industrial bakery and coffee shop all in one. Go here for the bread and pastries. They have lots of seating at the long bar and a few tables with comfy seats.
Everything was very good. If you come to Miami again, I think you will come to this bakery first!
I was a fan of their bread until the rustic baguette standard began to decline.
I don't know if the baker is the same but they should react ... this level of bakery cannot afford to fail in standards.
As a carnivorous being, I was leery on trying the breakfast platter/sandwich because it didn't have meat but my meal was scrumptious. The flavors were incredible!
All of the items sitting up front from the bakery looked delectable.
Looking forward to my next visit :)
Food is amazing! Outdoor seating is really nice and the view of the street art is really cool!
Awesome friendly place there you can enjoy freshly made bread and coffee.
Worst experience ever, I would give them 0 stars if I could. Went to this place for lunch because of the high ratings but after paying outrageous prices for our food we waited and waited over 30 minutes, there was only 2 people getting the orders out, the table available was dirty and wabling, I did notice the portions they serve are very small for the prices they charge (nothing like the photos posted). No waiter service, customers have to fetch for themselves. When finally our food was ready we had to get up and bring it to the table ourselves, my wife spilled the hot soup over her legs because the table was wabling. Needless to say we got up and demanded our money back to show them how dissatisfied we were. The place is overrated, I give them most 6 months. Warning don't go there hungry, you'll leave hungry and upset. 11/13/2017.
The Pastrami sandwich I received the Meat was very very VERY DRY and CRUMBLY. Sliced meat between two slices of bread with a slice of pickle. Meat was smoke flavored. The sandwich was small for the price $18+.
Very rich everything but the prices are very high I bought 6 loaves and they charge me 20 dollars.
Amazing place to eat, the line was out the door and it was worth the wait.
Totally hip, artsy, fresh style of food,.
Their chocolate cookies are out of this world.
Above all the energy is incredible.
Great bread...way to basic coffee options and I had to left the place because the onion was being cooked and the smell made me cry...also all my clothes needed a wash. I can not handle the veggie perfume.
We buy his bread at WFM and we eat at his deli in Wynwood near the walks. The food is fantastic, even if the counter ordering system can be slow and frustrating. The corned beef on rye will change your life. But beyond all this the bread, it is without doubt the best bread in Miami. Buy it here or delivered daily to WFM, you won't eat bread the same again.
The food and bread quality was high, the explanation of food was low. The Reuben is -Salmon- and the cashier had to explain this to every person as it's not on the menu. The sabich sandwich is -Spicy- no warning. :/ the gravlax was yummy. The fresh breads are the shining star here and you can buy loaves. The pastry section looked to have all the Jewish favorites (babka, rugelach, hammentashen) and new yorks favorite after the cronut - the kouign amann.
Delightful, helpful, adorable hostess and waitress. Corned beef sandwich was hearty and the salmon gravlax sandwich delicate yet both divine and delicious. Food designed with care and served with love. It's good y'all.
