What an AWESOME place. Environment was very relaxing, they had a band playing some nice smooth music, the wait staff was very knowledagble and friendly. The food was fantastic and all at a decent price. Great place, I highly recommend dinning here for the night.
Enjoyed their raw oysters and fresh fish options. Also enjoyed the entertainment on Friday nights.
Don't waste your time or money by going here. I made a reservation for 7:30 and was told by Barb, the hostess, that they didn't have a table inside and to wait a bit, so we decided to wait and have a drink at the bar. We waited at the bar for about 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. One of the bartenders was trying to figure out how to work a remote while we sat at the bar waiting for someone to approach us. Just awful service. After waiting for about 20 minutes to get a table inside, Barb informed us that no tables were leaving but there are tables outside. We finally decided to get a table outside and after waiting for another 10-15 minutes, I took it upon myself to ask one of the bus boys if he could get our waitress. Overall it was an awful experience. Unless you're 100 years old and are just waiting to die (which is basically their entire clientel) I would tell ya to go somewhere else. Krapils is right down the street.
Well the meal was very good. However I ordered some oysters to take home and they clearly weren't what i had in the restaurant. They were 2 different type and should have only been one. When I tasted them they were awful. Very disappointed
Lunch was wonderful outside patio that could fit 85 people private parties as well as weddings and baby showers inside Decor is immaculate TVs around the bar for entertainment as well as games and sports the yacht race was on at the time sandwiches look smell and taste amazing all sorts of drinks top of the line you have a chance come out and visit the place it is amazing

Great atmosphere. Staff was friendly, efficient, and fast. Food is excellent. Great to sit and have an intamate meal and drinks with a date or family. Nice selection of wine, beer, and spirits...really good coffee too. Live music on the weekends.If you don't already know Zach, you will probably meet him there. He is a great guy, very friendly, and fun. You should check out his place!

Zacharys was closed due to a private party being held on that day. I went there on a Friday for lunch with a friend. Who would have thought a restaurant would be closed on a Friday. Oh well. Perhaps we might return some day. Gave it a three stars because I assume Zacharys is ok, but who knows?

Last week was the first time we came to that good restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the courteous service, with the fine dishes and fine drinks and with the modest payment. We will surely come back again.
I've been here 4 times and cannot think of a complaint. The service staff is friendly, patient, and attentive. The prices seem high until you taste the food. I highly recommend dining here for every family occasion or sitting at the bar to watch the game.
Zach's pasta is a great blend of shrimp an andouille sausage. Welcoming restaurant where they strive for "where everybody knows your name."

I admire this spot! They give high class dishes, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that spot is well trained, I love a lot eating all their food. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the visitors is helpful. I go often to this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all.

Had a wedding reception there in their back room. It was gorgeous. Barb and the owner were very accommodating. The wait staff was very kind and attentive. Food was excellent. Great time had by all!
This was my wife and I's first visit to the Chicago area. We just so happened to be in town for my wife's birthday. I wanted to take her somewhere nice to celebrate. All the $$$ 4 star Yelp restaurants were booked up in the city, so we looked for the best rated restaurant outside of Chicago. This ended up being Zachary's.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess standing out front smoking a cigarette. We were then told that they were all booked up (even though we made some reservations), but were told that we could pick whatever table were wanted. So we found a spot and seated ourselves.
We tried to order a bottle of wine, but our first two choices on the list were not available, so the waitress had to bring out what they did have.
The food was not spectacular. The meat on both our meals was dry and lacked flavor. The food was way over priced for the experience we had.
This place is not a replacement for a nice downtown restaurant and lacks an identity. If it is trying to be a nice upscale restaurant, the wait staff and cook have a way to go to deliver that kind of experience.
After being seated, nobody ever came to actually serve us. We asked once for a server. Nobody came. 10 minutes later we told the hostess we were leaving because we never got waited on. Her response was to shrug her shoulders and laugh.
Had a great experience, can t wait for my next night out there!

Tonight the owner of this rssturant came into restaurant i work in and walked out with out paying for his food, I was his server. He walked in at 12:49am, i had his order in by 12:51am. He got his food, 4 eggs over easy and hash browns, about 2 or 3 minutes later. A minute or two after that he asked for an extra order of hash browns, i am assuming its because there wasn't enough hash browns for him. Less than 3 minutes later he walked out without paying his bill. He walked out at exactly 1:03am. What kind of owner of a resturant walks out on a bill?
Went there for the first time last night for my wife's birthday. It was fantastic. The staff, especially Cindy, was exceptional. For starters my wife had the french onion soup which she loved and I had the cauliflower and dill soup which was outstanding. For the entre my wife had the Chicken Milanese and I had the Berkshire Pork Chops. Both were outstanding. We loved the fact that we were not rushed and the ambience was perfect. Overall it absolutely great. We will definitely be back an we will tell everyone. Thanks for a great birthday dinner.

Our guests all stated that they will definitely return again. It was pricey but well worth it. Thank you for making that evening very special and memorable.

Great atmosphere, great food, and great service! Definitely one of my favorite places to grab lunch in the Palos area. It is a little hard to find, but worth going to. The patio is beautiful and not located along a busy street. I highly recommend it!
We chose this place purely based on the reviews. Zacharys Grill has a different menu than what was listed on the website, which usually reflects seasonal updates and locally sourced food. The wine list didn't detail anything they had in stock. The menu consisted of two pages only, so I felt all of the dishes must be confidently executed. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed. The food was mediocre (undercooked and unseasoned) and and sorely overpriced. While the staff was friendly and somewhat attentive they did not make up for an overall disappointing dinner with family.

Hostesses can be rather snooty if you don't have a reservation - they say things like, "Let's see if we have a table for you...." when the restaurant is clearly 2/3 empty on a weeknight.

Took my husband there for his 50th birthday celebration with fifteen friends/family. Food, service,music and decor were awesome. Everyone raved on how they would be returning to a quality restaurant without going downtown.
As our wedding plans changed with COVID, we needed to find a restaurant that could fit our guest count on short notice.
We had never been to Zachary s before, but we had come across them online and read the positive reviews.
We reached out to them and began working with their events coordinator, Kalynn, who was wonderful to work with as we had exchanged numerous emails in getting the food count and table layout figured out. Zachary s had been incredibly accommodating with our requests and we couldn t have asked for a smoother experience.
For the day of the wedding, all of our guests thought the food was delicious and we loved that we could offer them such a variety of main courses. The cheesecake was amazing and the service was very attentive.
We are very thankful to all of the staff at Zachary's in helping make our special day even more memorable.
