Yukon Arts Centre Review

The Whitehorse Choir Christmas Concert was wonderful. I especially enjoyed the finale....The Hallelujah Chorus. Took me back to my days when , as a child, I listened to my parents sing this in our church choir. Brilliant finale!!

Went to the Whitehorse Christmas choir. Excellent as usual. Drinks offered before show and at intermission. Love the cups with lids. A very comfortable venuue.

I was told there was a meme exhibit. There was not.

Great venue and exhibits, well maintained facility. Shows rarely start on time and usually start with speeches ranging from 5-45 minutes long, depending on the show. Not the YAC's fault but a great annoyance nonetheless. Ticket box workers aren't always the friendliest.

It was the best concert. The dancers were awesome. It was so great. I loved it.

This large theatre, with a 450 person capacity, is part of the Yukon College campus. The YAC is the venue for most major shows in the Yukon.

A fantastic venue for music, movies, and live theatre. The YAC is home to Blue Feather Music Festival, Available Light Film Festival and many other great community events

Amazing, colorful place with great events, exhibits and volunteers!

Great site located right by Yukon college (soon to be university). It's a little small but what it lacks in size it makes up for in showcases and collections. Good mix of local artists with lots of different themes. There was a video installation near the front in its own space and 3 different collections in the main gallery at the back. There's also a sizeable theatre here too. Staff very friendly. The gallery was open on a pwyc entrance fee, but you can choose not to pay as well.

Nice lodge room for the event thos week. Beautiful grounds and a fun filled few days.

Have been here for many shows, in particular the Available Light Film Festival which is an incredible event. If someone wants to have an intimate film festival experience without the hassles and logistics of getting around a big city, this is the film festival to come from! Outstanding films selected and the festival is extremely well run by many dedicated volunteers. I fly up from Vancouver for this and will again without a doubt.

Great facility! A nice, intimate theater. Not a bad seat in the house!

The tribute to Salvador Dali was unexpected. The diorama of his childhood residence revealed where much of his inspiration later in life came from. Shamefully the international art establishment has done little to show the connection between the Yukon and Senor Dali.

Beautiful building. Great art display. Beauyiful vistas from gardens.

This is a great facility with great events. Keep your eye out for film society screenings - they're spectacular.

A fine 400 seat theatre that hosts an incredible variety of shows.

Went there yesterday for Cracks in the soul exhibition. Nice.

Tom Jackson : Huron Carol at the Yukon Arts Centre was inspirational. He has an incredible presence that brought the meaning of the Christmas Season to life, that of loving and respecting those that are around us.
