Love it Love it Love it, wish it lasts more than 1 hour. It goes by so fast! I met the manager/owner, very nice guy. I don't like the idea of $20 for requesting a booth though.
Amateur night was surprisingly funny. Not too comfortable but for $5 it was a great 1.5-2 hours.
Nice comedy club in downtown Toronto. Very basic food, limited selection of beers, but very good artists.
Great place good locations just needs better chairs .
Always good for a fun night of laughs and drinks, especially on Tuesday's amateur nights. Comics can sometimes be a hit or miss but the show makes up for it in value and variety. Never know what you're going to get but you will laugh with or laugh at the aspiring/amateur comics. The MC is always hilarious and keeps it light and fun. Don't sit too close to the front of you don't want to get roasted!
When we went, the opening act started berating these two old guys sitting in the front row. And not funny jabs, just vile, offensive, swearing.
"F*** you, you old f***" probably a direct quote of one of the things he said.
Love the shows! The cocktails aren t overly exciting, but it s a great night out either way.
Funny people. Small venue. To get to the bathrooms you must go up some pretty sketchy stairs.
Top notch headliner and host. Very impressed by the opening acts. Had a great time and food good as well. They could make more on drinks if they had a bar ... Or more staff to serve tables.
Can't say enough good things. Went for the first time last week, I messed up on my online tickets, and showed up in the wrong line, with the wrong paper. The manager was working the door, said he would take care of everything, I should just go ahead and enjoy the show. Stand up guy, with how hectic a Saturday night can be, he took the time to sort it out rather than send me back outside.
As for the show, way better than expected. The acts are great, way higher caliber than I expected. Whole roster was better than some headliners I've seen.
All in all, probably the most fun you can have for 20 bucks plus drinks (which were reasonably priced)
Great place to see a stand up comedy. The place is very spacious, so you do not feel boxed in.
Headliner was kinda lame, but opening acts weren't too bad. Paid 25 bucks to get in tho, so was expecting smth of higher quality
Great show and comedians. It was so absurdly hot inside though and it doesn't seem like there's much organization with the wait staff.
Legendary Comedy showcase in Toronto but the building is falling apart and I would really question ordering food or mixed drinks here. You guy's really need to clean it up. Doesn't need to be fancy, just clean.
The comedians on that night we were there were just awesome. Everyone better then the last. Show was 5 star but the service 2 at best. Very slow. I had one drink (way over priced) and then the server came at the end of the show... nowhere to be seen in between.
Great show. Definitely going to get some good jokes and sets, but sometimes not as well.
Absolutely discusting..... Headliner was completely in appropriate.... The host was the only good thing going.... We were actually told to be quiet during the Headliner for making too much noise..... Are you kidding me... It's a comedy club.....
Very good, we really liked the comedienne Sharon Doherty.
Atmosphere and comics were awesome. Try to eat before or plan after. Food was sub-par at best.
This place is an absolute blast. Went there with a group & shared some solid laughs. The host was pretty good too. :) Food was surprisingly above average! I did not expect that!
Yuk Yuk's is a great place to watch both amateur and seasoned comedians take the stage. They have a warm, welcoming environment, reasonably priced drinks and good food. I'd certainly recommend this comedy club to friends, locals, tourists, and everyone in between!
Be wary of the ATM outside their entrance. Not affiliated with them, but doesn't always provide cash.
Good comedy club but location is hard to find. Google map direction gave me wrong directions that were a block away from the actual location.
The comedians aren't funy, customer service it's very bad
Always a lot of fun and they make sure to have a variety of comics. Setup is great in that you can choose to sit right in front or hang back. Last time I went service was excruciatingly slow (couldn't even get a second drink) but usually they are fast and friendly. Show up early for better seats and for a table make sure to order something to support the house. Tickets are cheap and easily purchased online. They keep a list at the door so no need to even print the tickets.
I went for a charity event from The Wild Life Center. The place is bigger than I thought and it was full. The comedian were hilarious. I had not read so much in years. Thanks for an amazing night.
Love the comedy here. Always a good show with great acts. Get there early to get good seats or if you get 4 tickets or more in advance, you can reserve your seats. Service is really slow on week days as they only have one person attending the whole crowd.
Beer was warm . Natchos were sticky. Not too impressed with the crass humour. Need to have more simple funny jokes!
I've been to yuk yuk's a handful of times, and recommend doing your research before visiting. They have a lot of great shows and your as likely to strike gold on a regular Wednesday as strike out on a more publicized event. Loads of history and foundational in the Toronto comedy scene.
Had a great time here! Comedy is very personal but I loved the headliner that performed. Right in the heart of the city, nearby food and transit. Tickets were super affordable. Not the nicest interior but for the ticket price totally worth it. Great for a date or night out. Will definitely come back.
Visited a few times now, comics are usually in great standing, there's an amateur thrown in every now and then. If you want a booth or a proper table, book a reservation or come in early. Drinks and food are cheap but of pub quality. The show's usually worth the money, great way to start the night.
Great comedy venue. Listen to your servers and you will have a good time.
Good time here. Came here on Valentine's day with my wife and we had a good time.
Had an amazing time. Didnt remember the names of those performing but i have had a ton of fun
Food menu is outdated and expensive. The venue needs to be updated. The shows are great to watch.
Awesome amateur night..chill MC and audience, atteded by NBA player with Entourage.
Waitress was extremely rude without cause, maybe she was having a bad day, but at any rate, she made it known. Establishment itself was alright, I've only been to the $4 Tuesday amateur night, a few of the comics were rather good. Though at $4, you get what you paid for, it's not a riot. Willing to try a weekend show =). Would have been 4 stars, but that waitress really soured the experience =/.
Always great to support local clubs, super funny, i would skip the food there though
Good space for comedy, a little over priced compared to some other comedy clubs
Some good laughs, wasn t a fan of the headliner but still a great night out.
Always fun place to be parking everywhere which is great and reasonable pricing and food
Famous downtown comedy bar.
Seem reasonably priced.
Check their website for ahows
Nubian comedy show is a monthly event- i would return again. Food was served cold though
There is no issue with the service, food, or beverage. However, the comedian selection is poor. Same stupid jokes every time. No real caliber performers. Save your money and go to a comedy festival or the likes.
We were a party of four and our seats were reserved for us. The show was a blast all the comics were funny. And the headliner jay martin was off the chain
Lovvvveeee!!!! I seriously started to cry because I was laughing soo hard. I'm from the GTA and a really appreciate that the content wasn't strictly about Toronto (unlike other comedy clubs I've been to in Toronto)
Great acts, however our server only came by once before the show started then 2 hours later with our bill.
Trying to cram in 250 people for Louis was a hilariously bad idea. Was in the first half of the people seated but told to sit in a row with no tables. I wouldn't return for a headliner show
I've seen a few good acts here, it could do with being updated though.
Best night if you don't know what to do downtown in the middle of the week:)
The comics here are "hit and miss" but when they hit, they're hilarious! It's a fantastic venue as many professional comics will show up here to try out their new stuff. Consequently you'll get to see headline acts doing their new stuff for big shows before they hit the major venues.
The comedians were b fabulous but, the wait staff are terrible.
Exactly as advertised - funny, fun, and a nice part of an evening out downtown!
Owner was very nice and welcoming, good atmosphere and reasonably priced.
The comics are hilarious and troll the crowd and it's amazing. Don't be a dick and the service is great.
Hilarious - I was shocked at how much fun this place was. The host and comedians were on point. They continuously set the comedic bar high at this location.
Stoped by with my girlfirend and saw Brett Forte, what a show!!
We will be back!!
Great lineup the night I went! Make sure to call and reserve a booth. Also try and get your bill early or be prepared to wait a while after the show
They're understaffed during shows and thus the service is incredibly slow. We waited 45 minutes to even get acknowledged. The poor servers are trying very hard to be as speedy as possible but they just can't get to everyone when there are so few of them. That being said, the show itself (the host, openers and the headliner) were all great.
Comedians are good, but this venue is uncomfortable, under resourced and poorly run. You re packed in like sardines so closely, it s unpleasant. I suspect fire code violations based on overcrowding. Servers are clearly overworked. Unfortunate use of the space. Also, they refuse to serve tap water, even though they serve alcohol, a policy which violates city bylaws. I ordered a large bottle of Perrier for two people, which arrived sealed, but without glasses. After 10-15 minutes, I had to get up and go to the back to request two glasses, which I carried back to my table. No ice, of course. My nachos arrived 30 minutes later, cold and barely edible. The three stars are for the comedians. The venue alone is one star.
Worth every penny. Great comedians at a more than fair price. Very engaging with the audience.
Line up of comedians was decent, went on Nubian night (last Sunday of the month). Overall the price of the venue and entertainment is well worth the value, the menu for food however was a little overpriced, even by standard in house rates. I do not recommend the poutine, it was a mess of extremely salty fries soaked in a really runny gravy. Sweet potato fried however was decent.
Can't wait for the eventual re-open. Great talent and venue.
We have been sitting here for half an hour with no service. I have flagged our server down multiple times which she has ignored, and when I approached her to say I have been flagging her down and she said "That is nice" and promptly walked away from me. Completely unacceptable. I would recommend going to a different comedy club.
Great little comedy club. Ticket prices are more than reasonable and they sell beer and food at decent prices. It's possible it could be a bit tight if there was a full house, but it was quite comfortable overall.
Small place to go watch some stand up comedy overall pretty good but expect to wait very long to get a drink. No bars and you can order through a waiter which they seem to be veru short staffed
Always a fun night. Just the setting of a classic comedy club alone is something to experience here. I went with some friends on amateur night for only $5 for a couple hrs of non stop fun.
Amateur nights are the best!!! Some of the amateurs are even better than a lot of the headliners LOL
Overpriced and a weak drink and food menu. They immediately slot you in terrible seats and then suggest you pay more for a booth or better seat. Staff were unfriendly and indifferent. Not going back when better clubs can easily be found, e.g. Absolute
The show was really funny but the seating is WAYY too cramped. Another issue I had is that the server comes around once and if you don't order food the first time they come around, they tell you the kitchen is closed and food can no longer be ordered.
Great stand up, cheap drinks and below average food!
Always a nice, fairly cheap night out..sometimes really great depending on who's on that night. Good service. Better seating arrangements than some other comedy clubs.
