A great place to see comedy downtown with potential for surprises! Went to see a nationally renowned comic and was pleasantly surprised when Gerry Dee showed up and opened for 45 mins. Must have been practicing / testing material for an upcoming show.

I had a wonderful time at Yuk Yuks, but I can only recommend this comedy club on the basis of my one visit.

I came on a Thursday night, so the place wasn't as packed as it could be, maybe 50 or so people at most. Alex Wood was not pleased lol, he probably made 25% of his set complaining about the energy of the crowd, which to be honest was okay.

It's a shame that half the room (literally the left half) weren't laughing at ANYTHING, but the room was still alive.

Ordered sweet potato fries, got a poutine instead.

Just a few quirks but the lineups are always great.

Thia is an excellent place to go for a date, with some friends and/or family for some laughs. They will have you in stitches with the comedy. Just need to get more spacing for the seating.

Most of the acts, including the host Andrew Johnston and featured act Adrian Cronk, were good and knew how to work a crowd so there were plenty of laughs to go around. None of them was offensive or annoyingly vulgar. Great and totally engaged crowd. Food and drink selection was standard, if a bit limited.

Amazing entertainment but I'd love to see more women and minority comedians. Why so many white dudes? Also I suggest working with second city and having a show with new talent? But overall great experience

The comics were really good, except for the first girl. Too much talk about herself and was just very lackluster. It's the second time I've seen her and she hasn't improved at all. The MC, second act and closer were amazing. The closer was so good he only heckled and never even got to his material and we were still in stiches laughing so hard. I will be back for sure!

Great place for entertainment. Drinks and food. If you can't get a good seat ask for a both cost an extra 20$. Food was ok. Not a five star meal but not bad either. Alittle pricey tho. Great atmosphere and the host is hilarious

Great line up. Great price. Got tickets online for under $10 each and skipped the line up. Many more comedians in the same time frame compared to other experiences I've had in London. This one was much cheaper and the warm up acts were only 15 minutes each instead of 30. So you get to see many more acts.

Comics were amazing food and service was terrible eat and drink before ya go. The waiter said "they ran out and I had to make your nachos we had alot of problems in the kitchen tonight" that did not make me feel an better. My sister was not impressed.

The comedians they had when my friends and I went were not that funny... they relied more on shock value from obscenities, rather than real humor. The servers didn't do that great a job either, we had to wait a long time for them to finally notice us. The "historic" value of this place was kind of cool - Jim Carrey started out here. Otherwise, the time here could have been spent better somewhere else.

Granted. We ordered tickets online and did read the check out notes to arrive about 45 mins to an hour early, so we arrived about 45 minutes before the show. It was already half full and piling in fast. We were asked if we were there for an occasion, which was my girlfriend's birthday. They put us right up on the front row. It was a little tight, and in the start thought uh oh. But it turned out to just enhance the experience. All the people around us were all talking and having a great time all just meeting each other for the first time. We got lucky with the acts. The host was a riot. 1 of the openers had me in tears. And the headliner kept you laughing the whole time. All kept the crowd involved.
I do agree with some others, they may have to look at serving. Being tight and packed, they had a tough time getting to everyone and bringing drinks in a timely fashion and cashing out and bad times. Bring cash, get 2 drinks and pay out each time you order if you want things a bit smoother.
All in all. One of the best outings we've had in a while.

Went here for cheap night on Tuesday. The comics were horrible, but they were literally comics-in-training from Humber College. Learned a lot about why a joke didn't work. Since it was the end of their term (September?) they gave out free appetizers to everyone. Fun, novel experience for a date, but no idea what their usual, non-amateur shows are like.

If you order your tickets separately like we did call and you can have a table reserved together. We winged it and our seats could have been better. Super lovely staff and the drinks are a decent price.

This place caters to the lowest common denominator. At last night's show tables were literally flipped and fights broke out as a result of an over-served crowd (although my section was the default dry zone because the server just never came by). The situation was made worse by an inflammatory and unfunny headliner - who rather than trying to diffuse a situation only escalated it.

I understand that my humour won't always align with comedians but here a "XXX" headliner apparently means personal attacks, hatred towards women and a self-entitled unclever guy on stage we're all supposed to be subjected to and show our "respect" to.

Yuk-yuks has always been the "lesser" comedy venue in Toronto but I have still enjoyed it for what it is I'm the past. After a half-chuckle with one of the openers and the start of a bar fight we walked out and won't be back.

It was our first time going, (my husband, my son, and myself). They were doing a roast show *your hoods a joke* , we thought it was great all around. Had a lot of laughs, and great service, very friendly.

Server never brought my friends water except for me even when we asked several times. Maybe because I was the only one that ordered any food. It was a decent night though and fun with friends.

Always a great time at Yuk Yuks! The MC, opening acts and main headliner were all extremely funny. Definitely one of my fave places to go to.
We were able to see Kenny Garcia and Drew Lynch's acts! Even got to take a photo with Drew! Overall amazing experience once again

I love visiting Yuk Yuks. No matter what happens, someone (or something) is bound to make you laugh. This is a great evening out for a date or as a group. I will be back again and again! Get out and support comedians!!!

Chairs are uncomfortable, there's always people walking behind you and in front of you brushing up on your seat so that it's distracting. The comedy can is kind of expensive and the humor was alright at worst and good at best on Friday May 15 2017. My friend didn't like the warm up comedians.

Definitely had some good laughs
The MC was the funniest hands down
Acts were hit and miss
DO NOT order the poutine, SO terrible, worst poutine I've ever tasted in my life.
After that I won't be ordering any food here.
I didn't expect it to be great or anything but it was just awful.
atmosphere was lively and overall a good experience

A female comedian made dirty jokes about women. Talking about how horny she is and how she likes doing crazy stuff in public is not funny. It is disgusting.

Other comedians are good. Expecially the host.

Attended the NYE event. Amazing show, amazing lineup. Very cramped though... However I assume that was due to the nature of the event and how many tickets were sold.

The server was disorganized... Again likely because of how busy the event was.

Drove from aurora to see the headiner Dave Hemstad. Got there well before the starting time and waited in line. I started to feel uneasy when we were in line PAST 9PM (the starting time of the show) once the starting music started I knew we were in trouble. A gentleman announced that they have "oversold and were over capacity". He went on to say everyone who paid for a ticket at the door can ask for a refund but the people who paid online would have to deal another method. Apparently buying tickets online doesn't save you as seat the situation is still first come first serve. While we were leaving the other people in line mentioned this happens quite often at this location. So I drove downtown spent 20 dollars on parking just so I could be rejected from the establishment I paid to get into and then go back home. Friday night completely ruined.

Good entertainment bad service, I over herd my waitress complain to the floor manger that I didn t tip her enough and even called me names too (she didn t know I could here her) She served me one drink the whole night, I guess she thought that merit a 10 dollar tip or something, very unprofessional to say the least

Get there early to get good seats and avoid standing around like sardines, once the show starts it's a great experience. MC Pat McDonald was amazing, and all the acts were great and very funny. Service a little slow but understandable.

Approach this place knowing that your watching amateur comedians testing their jokes, bring someone who is easy to laugh and you enjoy being around, some jokes will miss and it can get awkward haha, better to have someone with you who can see humor in most things.

Great for second dates, tests the character ; )

Most of the entertainers were great. One really got off base with anti American political humor. Considering I've been close to my Canadian friends for 45 years, her comments weren't funny, but hurtful. But the other 4 comics made up for it and more. I would go visit Yuk Yuks again
