I have been going here for brunch from the last 10 years. It turns out the restaurant was sold in August 2019 and is now under new management. The service is still good and the menu almost unchanged. Thank you for keeping up this great little restaurant.

A local delight. The menu is great and everything on it sparkles with flavour and taste. The burgers are absolutely amazing (I'm eating one right now).

A local favourite destination. Menu items are home made and not factory preformed. The club sandwich is exceptional. Love their pan fries. Soups and hamburgers made from scratch with locally supplied products. Go early, lunch times are full. Owners are exceptionally nice people. A MUST destination when it White Rock.

Came in expecting nothing and was blown away. Food was delicious and well portioned. Really enjoyed the spiced pan fries. All the food was properly seasoned and such. Can't say enough positives on the food. Service was friendly and prompt.

Attended here about a month ago for breakfast. The place was busy but we were seated quickly. We ordered the vegetarian burger and the vegetarian chili which were both specified as vegan on the menu. We mentioned to the waitress that we were both vegan and asked for no cheese on the burger. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes for orange juice and water to be served and another 30 minutes for our food. When our food arrived there was mayonnaise on the bun for the burger and there was butter on the toast for the chili. When we requested these items be exchanged the waitress proceeded to scold us as we did not request for these items to be removed from our original order even though the butter and mayonnaise were not mentioned on the menu. Our issue here is that they said they were vegan friendly however it appears as though they do not know what this means. The food tasted okay, we both liked the burger more than the chili.

During our meal their debit and credit card machines went down which they didn't inform us about until we had to leave and then we had to send one of our party rushing out to find an ATM so that we could get going. It would have been nice to be informed about something like this as soon as out happened so that we could plan accordingly.

I used to love the breakfast here but the last time I went the experience was not good. The eggs were cold and the pan fries were pretty much soggy. All that was eaten was the toast. The waitress asked if I wanted it re made but I'm easy too picky of an eater to be ok with that lol....I was surprised when it came time to pay the bill there was no discount offered. I said nothing and paid the bill obviously. I'm not sure if ill go back cause I don't want that served to me again

They charged me $20.00 for banana french toast and scrambled eggs. Not even close to worth it. Highly not recommended.

This is our local go to. Know owners by name, we love the food. Cozy, casual down home cookin.

Its a bit small, not a lot of wiggle room between tables but the food was amazing! The Eggs Yucca-dict is the most delicious egg breakfast I've ever had. And the service was great, our server was super friendly and helpful. The place is great for a breakfast date, the atmosphere was light and casual. With flyers and business cards for local events right along side beautiful art pieces for sale on the walls. I have plans to go again!

Fantastic food and staff! Just one chef and one manager! That's all you need for such a small and cosy place! Manager was very nice and friendly! Would definitely return here again when I'm in the area!

Came here based on the majority of positive reviews. Maybe I was unlucky, as my rancher's salad was drowning in dressing that I couldn't see what I was eating. Was told I should have ordered the dressing on the side. But it was tasty once I spooned the majority of the dressing into a coffee mug.

We have eaten here a number of times and everything is great. I don't think we have had a bad meal here or seen anybody send anything back. Go to fav, oatmeal with fruit and the Croissant special. Fried potatoes are good, but get them with the shredded cheese and green onions, yummm. Coffee is good, but the fresh squeezed orange juice is fantastic, even if it is a little expensive.

Best brunch type food. Great service. Homemade carrot cake is so good, moist with cream cheese icing! All the locals hit this spot!

Cozy nook on the eclectic uptown hill toward the beach. I was born and raised in the White Rock area and in high school the Yucca Tree owners hired me as a part time dishwasher. Although I was hired for dish washing, on occasion, I was shown techniques of the cafe barrister, sandwich varieties and learned the cooks daily restaurant management responsibilities. I now am working in leisure tourism and for travelers and locals alike this streetside cafe on a sunny morning or quick local luch to-go Yucca Tree owners have served it up. I love the nostalgia as I come back to BC from Alberta after 15 years and the service and produce are bright and homely spirited.

I happened upon this quaint cafe in White Rock by chance; was looking for another place but I was really drawn to the Yucca Tree Cafe. You could smell the home cooking from outside and when you looked in, it was pretty full with patrons. "Regulars", I'd imagine... I've been to so many places that I can usually pick them out.
So I quickly looked up their menu on my smartphone and was super pleased at what I read. I decided to give their breakfast a shot. And I am so glad I did! Oh my gosh, their Breakfast Croissant (Vegetarian) was so fresh and mouth-watering, I do believe I am now addicted! I thought I'd be taking a doggie bag home with the freshest of croissants piled high with scrambled eggs, loads of shredded cheddar cheese, and tomatoes, not to mention their homemade pan fries seasoned in a way that I hadn't tasted before. But I couldn't stop eating this delish breakfast - it made my tummy very happy. I also took a side order of pan fries with shredded cheese and green onions to go, so that I could have that later.
You have to give the Yucca Tree Cafe a try! I would find it hard to believe if you were disappointed. Great customer service, too.
For the vegetarians out there (like me), many choices are on their menu. They will also customize any order for your taste or dietary restrictions (for myself, I asked for egg whites only which was no issue at all).
As for CONS, there is nothing negative I would say for my first visit, except that their salt shakers needed a good "banging" due to the salt crystals binding together after our latest heatwave.

The restaurant is small but cozy. The easygoing decoration brings a fresh mood to the customers. I personally really like their french toasts. They use great combination of food to bring the taste of french toast to a whole new level!

Took my girlfriend here for breakfast today. Exceptional service and amazing food. Very cozy atmosphere. Best toast I have ever had with a breakfast special. Perfect eggs, tasty bacon and the hashbrowns were seasoned very nicely. Definitely coming back!!

Family and I went for breakfast on our adventure to White Rock. We wanted to sit in the sun and enjoy the morning. We found the Yucca Tree Cafe.

The service was excellent. Very professional and the gentleman that runs the front end had a smile on his face and was very pleasant. He took pride in his service and made sure our breakfast experience was A+.

Small and comfortable the environment was perfect.

If you are in the White Rock area go have breakfast and slow down your pace at the Yucca Cafe.

Try the Mexican breakfast. You won't regret it. They make their own salsa and its pretty good.

I have been coming here for ten years and it has been a five star experience every time. The service is always friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious!

First time here. Met up with some friends for brunch. A small yet cozy place. Friendly service. Took a while for our order to come up but it was busy and we were not in a rush. After we ate, we sat there and talked for sometime and the staff did not make us feel that we had to get it and go. They just left us to our natter. Will be going again for sure. Try some of the Mexican dishes.

Yucca tree is a wonderful local business to support. They know how properly execute and cook good quality food. Their waffles are perfectly fluffy, the bacon is amazing. I recommend double cooking their hashbrowns. They always have a smile on their face when you come in. They make delicious in house teas! Catherine is what brings us back!

This is my favourite breakfast/brunch restaurant on the planet. Been a loyal customer since we moved to White Rock. Small place but it's so worth it. They always know what I want which is the Mexican Breakfast SSOOOOO BOMB!!! They're kid friendly and always has the best service. The price point is very good and the potatoes are amazing. If you love coffee, I get two to three cups here. Very yummy! I highly recommend this place!
