Extensive parkland area, with great art exhibitions set in an open gallery. A splendid place that has a restaurant, cafe and shop that is set in majestical grounds. It must be one of the finest art galleries in Yorkshire if not the North of England. A regular visitor will appreciate the changing art sculptures but also the seasons bring so much joy to observe flora and fauna.

Lovely place. Most of the sculptures are awesome. I also like the concept a lot -- bringing sculpture out of the museums -- in the process allowing for some sculptors to really plan for sculptures to integrate better into the landscape. Just visited post-covid, and learnt that they get 80% of their funding from their cafe and little art-shop. Would recommend going and supporting even at the best of times, but even more so now, given that Covid put a huge dent into their business.

Yorkshire sculpture Park is a fantastic place but there is not enough signage or customer information located in the grounds.i visited today to look for the Walk of Art.It is really poorly signposted and I had to ask at the enquiry desk where the most recent part of the walk was, which was right at the far end of the park.

It's an open-air gallery in West Bretton near Wakefield that straddles the border of West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire.

The park's collection of works by acclaimed artist Henry Moore is one of the largest open-air displays of his bronzes in Europe. Damien Hirst is also currently featured quite heavily due to the upcoming Yorkshire Sculpture International (inaugural) festival. (June-Aug 2019).

Some strange sculpture set in stunning surroundings, lots of walking but great day out.

The Alfredo Jaar exhibition is a moving, shocking and compelling experience. The final room helps you to understand what has formed him and his pieces. It will stay with you long after you have left and so it should. A must see for everyone in these times. February 2018

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is an incredible facility that suits visitors of all ages. With a nice modern visitor's centre at the entrance, indoor exhibition space and plenty of parking, to the rolling hills that make up the grounds of the park itself, there's something for everyone. Adults can enjoy the stunning sculptures from some of the world's best artists, and children can enjoy the acres of space to run around and the interactive elements of the park. We're lucky to have this place.

Wonderfull views of yorkshire, the country park and lakes, we saw 5 occupied heron's nest's. Late April visit meant 3 galleries closed but will visit again as we often do to see what's on in the summer month's. Excellent facilities . Something for every age. Always improving.

Really great day out with so much to see. Very enjoyable walks from 1/2 hour to 2 hours depending on your pace. Excellent brunch - tasty and filling - with a great cup of tea. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Large outdoor sculpture park with an eye-opening range of sculptures set across a wide and rolling landscape "garden". Modern visitors centre, exhibition space and cafe/restaurant on site, near the main car park. Free entry, but parking covers the costs of maintenance. Dog friendly across the site.

We come twice a year to see the changing seasons and new sculptures. Loved all the sculptures. Some are permanent. Some are temporary. Most are larger than life and outdoors. My only gripe is the cost of parking. It's great that they allow More

I love the sculpture park and my daughter lives near enough to be regular visitors ,my only issues lie with the parking charges and costs of restaurants ,cafes and believe they should work out better value visits such as parking refunded on using eateries perhaps .or special offers for going at quiet times .

Fantastic day out in the sunshine on our most recent visit. Really unexpectedly fantastic meal in the Weston restaurant which offers a far superior class of food and service than expected (coming from someone with 25 years in hospitality). It's always a good day out at YSP regardless of the exhibition currently in place or the weather, now hugely enhanced by the addition of the Weston restaurant, I would now without doubt visit just to eat, this can not be said about most visitor attractions.

A wonderful day out in beautiful countryside. Some people moan about the "expensive parking" but you have to remember admission is free otherwise and they need to raise money for the upkeep of the site. It's a fantastic day out in any weather but especially when it's fine and you can take a nice long walk around the estate.

I thought it was a lovley place the sculptures are pretty well spread out & there is no entry fee all they ask for is you leave a small amount in a donations box. Car parking expensive but there is a cheaper one across the road. The day we went was a really hot day so we did not get to see all the sculptures.

This is a great day out. The only thing I would prefer is to have at least one cafe or area in a cafe that was dog friendly that was under cover. The day we went was nice so we were able to sit outside but when it's raining it's not really an option.

Great day out.

Great day out.
Free just pay for parking (there is a cheaper car park just a short walk but your parking fee helps with the upkeep of the park)
Food is also on the pricy side but of good quality.

All in all a great place for a day out for anyone especially kids as lots of space to explore.

A magnificent place to visit if you're in Wakefield. The parking, however, is extortionate. I appreciate it all goes back to YDP, but it's over priced. They do have great facilities for food and drink, though. This place would easily get 5 stars if the parking prices were fairer. Be sure to pop to Blacker Hall Farm Shop for picnic treats if it's a nice day!!
