Open spaces- Acres and acres, with rivers and lakes dotted around with over 100 sculptures positioned strategically in the landscape. Unfortunately, words cannot do justice to this Sculpture Park so I have placed a few images on the Web so More

Wonderful landscape in which a wide variety of sculpture is carefully placed. Superb way to weave together an interest in sculpture and a good walk. Don't miss the Andy goldsworthy dry stone walls ... circular and square enclosures and the excellent fold.

Simply a brilliant day out. Even if you don't like sculpture. The grounds are fantastic. Something for the whole family to do. Excellent food in the restaurant. Well worth a car journey. Even in winter.

Great day out well kept grounds with interesting sculptures. Felt very covid saft with plenty of sanatising stations around the park. Coffee shops open selling delicious treats. Love this place for a nice walk and picnic.

It is a fabulous place to go and explore and enjoy world class sculpture in the open air. Add to that fantastic indoor gallery spaces, a brilliant shop with a wide range of books and great food and you can't go wrong. Free to visit except for parking.

Beautiful place, some building work in progress on a visitor centre but honestly grab a mate and get out here for a few hours, interesting pieces of art to admire on the way around the big lake

Wonderful place for families, couples, groups or just explore on your own! Acres of land with sculptures in expected and unexpected places. Don't forget to do the pleasant walk across the field to the awesome modern art gallery - a real hidden gem.

Awesome place to visit with friends or family. The only thing that could improved - we were unable to find any maps of the entire park. Having map would helped us to better navigate around the park.

Lovely dog walk this afternoon on a cool but dry day and it wasn't too muddy. We met very few people despite quite a number of cars parked. As ever some interesting new sculptures but I still find some of Damien Hirst's work a little disturbing. The pregnant lady is certainly a good lesson in anatomy. Finished with a hot coffee before putting two dogs into the car where they immediately crashed out.

It should be 5 stars.. It was when I was growing up. But then there weren't as many visitors, the shop was reasonably priced and a lot of walks were closed off, hidden, kept as nature reserves (boys will be boys). You were guaranteed to see a couple of deer, find little hidden features, it was great. Climb on the sculptures (we didn't break them).

Roll forward almost 30 years.
Stick in an art exhibition, set the parking prices to infinity and charge people insanity in the gift shops and cafe.
Next open the nature reserves and uncover the hidden features and let the young of today in. No deer, badger, fox... maybe a squirrel but even they run from some speaker stuck in a tree.

The worst part is the irreparable vandalism. You might not notice but I knew a lot of the historical items/cool features that were there and feel sad that they can never be replaced.

It's still a great place though. Still has lots of places to adventure. My advice park further away on the roadside and walk in from the entrance closest to Junction 38 Haigh roundabout. Make sure and take a picnic/ your own food and drink. Enjoy it. Not destroy it.

Very large Park area with a variety of different styles of sculpture to suit all tastes. As the grounds are so large, you do need to be relatively mobile to get around, not necessary fit, but certainly have no knee/leg problems. Nice picnic area with large tables. Cafe overlooking the park.

Went on a beautiful Autumn day, and the grounds and scenery were lovely. My favourite part of the park was looking at the wonderful big old trees. Couldn't care less about the "art", I thought some pieces were a blot on the landscape. Big ugly metal structures amongst beautiful woodland and open fields. One or two pieces were interesting, but mostly they were pretentious nonsense. I absolutely hated the bags of dog poo strewn around near where the pay station was. Yuck! Think the artist was having a laugh charging us so much money for a load of sh**.

You can keep this modern art nonsense, I prefer nature's artwork, ie, landscapes and wildlife.

Always a great day out, with some smashing sculpture and a lovely walk round. Deceptively huge and could spend multiple days just there. Completely free just the parking to pay for. Nice little gift shop and facilities for children too.
