The worst service ever! If I could give a 0 star r...

The worst service ever! If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I was charged $10 to refund a text book that had not even arrived in there store. To make it worse the text book was ordered mistakenly based on a text book list they developed with the school. The books I received were bent and soaked as they where sent in a paper satchel. I will never buy from Yorke books again.

Was on holidays so completely overlooked ordering my sons books until last week....oops.....I called Yorke to check before placing my order and they were extremely helpful they checked to see if they had the books I needed in stock and my order was sent out straight away! Luckily we managed to get all the books before school started back!

I went one Saturday afternoon with my friend to collect her textbooks. The place was supposed to close at 2pm. We got there at around a quarter past one, only to find that it was closed. After a few minutes, 4 other people arrived and were outraged that it was closed early. A staff member came out and explained to everyone that they were not open because 'deliveries had not arrived yet'. Not happy.

Never deal with Yorke Educational Centre, I have never in all my dealings with online shopping been treated, spoken to and totally disregarded as a customer. They would not return my telephone calls, nor four emails over a month period, pathetic, this all to find out the status of my online order, one book only! They do not care about you the customer! How they are still in business is beyond me, whatever you do please do not purchase anything from them!
Paula the Manager, well she certainly needs training on manners, management and customer service and how to fix problems. Avoid this book supplier at all costs!

Continuously have to deal with this poor excuse for a business because my son's school insists on using them. Every year I have to speak with rude apathetic staff. As with other reviewers, emails are not returned. When I call and request to speak to the manager I end up speaking to someone impersonating that position (Didn't take long to figure it out). This occasion I attempted to return a book that is not required (not used at all) and was refused because it exceeded their 2 week window. Avoid if you can. I will be seeking texts books elsewhere from now on.

Thank you so much Yorke education, I was stuck with my sons books as he lost them in a move. I called and spoke to someone after hours and was able to pick them up within half an hour! Such amazing service!!!! I can t thank you enough.

Wish I could give them no stars, year after year we have to deal with rude staff, mostly a guy named Paul. One year we were refused a refund because it was out of their two week window. fair enough but they really should state it much clearer on their site and could have been a little friendlier about it. Getting abused is not the way to treat customers when they ask if they can get a refund, particularly when it takes forever to get a hold of them in the first place. Unfortunately the same thing happened for this years books and we made the two week window. We called them at the beginning of November and were told we would have to get a refund by cheque and that they would charge a $10 processing fee!! Guess what, it's now the 4th Jan 2017 and we still haven't received our refund. Called this morning to see what has happened and he said he "missed it" Don't miss our $10 handling fee though right?? Let's see if they still charge us the handling fee after forgetting to give us our money back. They've also taken money for books that are apparently not available until March and one they claim was sent but we haven't received. We weren't told about either of these. Dodgy buggers, if I didn't have to use them I wouldn't. Theres just something so annoying about Paul that just gets me so irritated. So rude!!

I purchased an e book (year 10 mathematics) in November 2019. Made the purchase as soon as the school book lists were published as we'd had difficulty the year prior with obtaining all our supplies in time.

The code for the e book was emailed to me on 4 March 2020. Thays right, 4 months after purchase and 6 weeks after the school year commenced.

After having sent several emails requesting a refund, as we had to purchase a mathematics book so my child could commence the school year/curriculum, York will not refund the money. What frauds! Get your school to choose a different provider.

These guys are the worst. Couldn't even call them as they don't answer calls nor do they have voicemail as the message bank is full.

How they stay in business has me baffled.

what a terrible experience. order not sent. calls not answered. when i eventually got through the lady verbally abused me for rightfully asking where my order is. i would not recommend this place. a substandard service to the school community
