I like it, I feel comfortable, I'm already 5 years old going to that gym

I have been a member at the downtown location for over five years. This is a fantastic, convenient gym for those of us who work or live in downtown Hartford.

The physical facilities are top notch - a complete remodel was done a few years ago. The fitness staff and group programs are also really good.

Another plus is there is a mix of patrons - about half are the expected upper middle class business types but the rest include students and other local Hartford residents who bring a multi-cultural flavor.

On the minus side, at times the maintenance/service staff can be challenging: there is an inexplicable, constant lack of available clean towels and a yearslong problem with defective, electronic locker locks. And hours are greatly curtailed on weekends (closes at 1).

Overall this is a fantastic gym.

It was long over do feel great I will be back again.

Amazing YMCA in heart of downtown Hartford. This location is always very friendly to visiting touring shows playing at the Bushnell.

Very clean and well maintained, this location has a ton of cardio equipment, free weights, and machines. There s a functional training area, spin studio, yoga studio, and group fitness studio.

Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

Great layout, large location, has everything you need.

Very nice. Facilities are clean and well cared for. Staff is awesome, always very helpful and welcoming. Centrally located in downtown. There are classes and all sorts of programs offered as well as personal training. Very happy to have found this location right here in downtown Hartford!

Great place but I'm missing sauna!
Still closed hopefully open soon.

They are rude and uncompassionate when I needed to use the bathroom. Asking if I was a member during an emergency. The Albany avenue one is way better. And they are much nicer.
