Great place! The setting is beautiful. The group cabins were clean and in good repair. The dining hall was big with lots of windows and light. The food served was decent and they had a lot of alternative options if you didn't care for the main meal. Most of all, the staff were incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and fun. The kids had an amazing experience!

This is the classic Y camp. I went when I was a kid and now I went as a cabin counselor for my son. Quality people run it. Great learning opportunities with supportive and encouraging counselors. Our 4 days, 3 nights were awesome. My son loved the canoeing, the farm and the pool. They teach great values and interpersonal relationship skills. Can't say enough good things.

Great place for kids and teens. Many options to choose from to make your own schedule. The food is great. Best to visit during the summer. Kids will never feel bored here. So many activities during the day and then you are off to bed at 10. 5 star review

Dear people who say you don't like it. I have been here twice in my life and both experiences were great. During April 5th graders from schools go there and the camp isn't really available to give you what you want. The Best time to go to Camp Seymour is in the Summer: July. I really love this place and can't wait to return here. Best Camp Ever. If you are lazy, This place is all hiking, swimming, friendship and happiness. This will be just fine. I recommend taking the Marine Science Elective. Jill rocks.

Just left camp at 11:13 am 1/26/18 I stayed here from 24th-26th and I loved it! You have to walk a lot but it's worth it all the naturalists are so fun and awesome! The cabins are cute. In each cabin there is 8 bunk beds and one in a separate room for parent chaperones and a bathroom. For dinner, lunch, and breakfast they also give out meals to people who are vegans/vegetarians. They have a salad bar and a soup bar and The food is really good! If you go to camp Seymour for a school trip, they'll pick a cabin to set up dinner and clean up dinner. When you clean up dinner they'll play music so you can have fun while you're cleaning . One of my favorite times of the day were "rekt time" we got to either sit down in the dining hall with our friends and have a snack and hot chocolate or we got to do any specialist we wanted to do. At the end of the day we would do the night walk where we take a peaceful walk at night. Camp Seymour helped me be braver and I hope to go back there again!

List of specialists
canoeing
archery
animal room
skit room (only available on skit night)
Aquarium
and a few more (I just can't remember them )

Writing this for my brother, he doesn't have a google account (I am leaving for my own camp in 4 days, for 2 weeks. I will write my own review soon)
*Quoting my brother*
I have gone 3 times, I will be going for my 4th in a week. Even though I have gone 3 times the experience is never boring. There is always something new and different to do. My favorite thing to do is Gaga Ball. I love the food! I love it there and hope to become a counselor when I get older!

WE LOVE CAMP SEYMOUR! Small dedicated staff of very mature, energetic young women and men. Everything is beautifully managed, fresh and peaceful. My son and I both loved attending here. Children will feel very safe and comfortable.

Unfortunately, the week we went they were performing maintenance on the cabins and we had to listen to power washing the whole time we were there, not to mention the smell of the gas powering the machines. It was DEFINITELY not a calm, outdoor, nature experience. The camp director had told us we were the last group of the year so I cannot understand why this intense maintenance could not be performed after kids were not present. Very poor planing on the part of the camp, and when I asked the director about it, all he had to say was that he was 'sorry.' These kids look forward to camp all year! Huge disappointment! Oh, and it seems like they train their staff to YELL at campers...some of their 'naturalists' were REALLY great with the kids!
