YMCA Camp High Harbour Review

i would highly suggest this place. i have been going for years and its my home away from home. a piece of heaven on earth. i helped me get direction for my life and is one of my favorite places in the world. i miss camp so much and would do anything to be back at this place with the people that are like family. what they say is true camp high harbor god truly has its hands on this amazing place. i hope i can one day be a counselor and impact kids life the way mine has been. i am forever thankful for the people i have met, things i have done, and the people i've learned at this truly amazing place. thank you so much camp high harbor for making me the person i am and changing my life for the better.

Opening during a pandemic and hundreds of campers catching COVID. Great job!

The counselors and camp activities are great. My kids have gone for years. Unfortunately last summer my daughter got critically ill while at camp and didn't get the care she needed until days later, leading to a significant delay in treatment and endangering her life, with the clinic staff subsequently lying in the clinic notes that she asked me to pick her up and that I refused. Rather than holding this staff member accountable for the degree to which my daughter was allowed to get sick under her care, they are bringing this person back to staff this current summer session. My kids will not be there when she is. I seriously question the management direction of the senior staff--putting convenience of hiring of a volunteer staff position over the well being of the children. Not to mention the questionable ethical character of this staff member, seemingly condoned by upper management as they elect to have her return this summer.

I have been going to camp since I was in cabs two and I love it!!! I will keep coming back and hopefully become a counselor. Camp truly is the happiest place on earth and I consider it my second home!!!

Nice camp grounds, and people, BUT child came back sick with a bad skin rash. Air conditioners in cabins have lots of black mold on them

My son loves this camp ... it's his favorite thing to do every summer. I fully support the camp's decision to give it a try last summer. My son was there the only week they were open. It's unfortunate there was an outbreak but I saw the precautions they were taking and I was 100% comfortable leaving him there. God forbid High Harbour doesn't reopen fully next summer because there will be a lot of disappointed kids and parents. To the leaders, just know there are plenty of us that support you!

Lively YMCA camp popular with generations of families. Open seasonally. Registration is on line and the camp sessions fill quickly.

Great place to catch covid if you're into that type of thing

I am a camper and this place is the best place in the world. I wouldn't want to spend a week of my summer any where else. It truly is amazing and it's my favorite part of the summer break. Highly highly recommend!!!
