Great center with large pool, tons of equipment and clean facilities. Family friendly with multiple programs for children and adults. We have been members as a family for 10 years and are treated like family. The staff is the BEST! They greet by name and are professional. Love this place!!!

Had a membership for over 3 years. I never really made time to use the facilities. I just went to cancel my membership. I got hit with a 30-day cancellation policy. When the time comes to get another membership I will look elsewhere.

The facilities are nice at the Boynton YMCA, however, my disappointment is with the lack of sufficient spin classes. Although there is availability during the summer months, starting 3rd week of September this year, I have not been able to get into the popular spin classes. It's very discouraging to arrive at a class only to find out that it is filled. I have had to drive to Boca YMCA to get into their spin classes. Boca offers 16 spin classes to Boynton's 7. If you take the yoga class that precedes the spin class, you will have to walk out during the middle of yoga to go and get a number because numbers are not given out until 30 minutes before the spin class. Once seasonal visitors start using the facilities, members will have to arrive 30 minutes early to get into classes.

I have been a member here for years. Great facility for the money. Gym, Basketball Courts, Volleyball Courts, Group Fitness Rooms, Multiple Pools, Waterslide, Steam Room, Sauna, Child Care, HIIT Classes, Personal Trainers, Crossfit Style Room, 5 Locker Rooms For Men, Women, Boys, Girls, Family, Water Aerobics, I could go on and on. Amazing place. Take it from me as I am the Duke on Yelp..

I absolutely hate how there is only open basketball courts on Sunday and thats only because barley anyone comes to YMCA on Sundays i hate how the indoor gyms are always being used for games and practice i pay my monthly payments but im starting to regret it if yo want a place to play basketball the YMCA s not a best choice you might as well go to la fitness or 24 hour fitness it disrespectful how they dont care about there outside basketball hoop the hoop is not up to standard basketball regulation (10 feet) the lines are not painted right the three point line is where the free throws are suppose to be the hoop on the other side is facing the wrong direction the hoops have spider webs on it the indoor court floor s always dusty whats the point of playing at YMCA the staff at the front desk are nice (the two stars are for them) no wonder why the devos blum imca lost members in the past year if u want highschool interactions or just to play a 3 on 3 with randoms its not going to happen arly any teenagers go ther only seniors and little kids

The YMCA is extremely trash. The basketball court is the main problem that I have. 1. Dirty floors, you have to constantly wipe your feet to play and that you don't fall. 2. Kids take over the basketball court every day, and if you think for once you can play.... You are extremely wrong. 3. Sunday's was usually the day that you can play, and practice but now they take over the courts too! To sum it all up, the YMCA is no place to even have some good time playing basketball. You can't ever play because it is always filled with annoying kids, and if you do manage to play then they kick you out. Trash place, would give it a 0 if I could. Remove the kids and let people play.

It s a very loving environment, my boys just love going to school and I can tell they don t only have a lot of fun but also learn a lot; sometimes they really surprise us with the knowledge they have for their age.

Where is a zero rating when you need one. My advice to you if you have children and are interested in a sports program, look elsewhere. Seriously, look elsewhere. I am not only saying this to you for personal reasons, but for your best interest. As a family that has been involved with the Y for 5 years now, I can tell you the program has steadily declined, and is nothing what it once was and should be. Don't be fooled by their sales pitch. They have no integrity, and place no value on family and community. It is a numbers game for them trust me. An example you ask for, I would be more than happy to. Let's add another season during the year, increase the rate to charge the families, and let's put 10 kids on each team. So, let me figure this out. Let's pay more to watch our kids play less, because you can't get enough volunteer coaches involved?! Why do you think their is no stability with a sports director or quality coaches? No integrity, and no value on putting a quality program together for the children that they will truly benefit from. Oh, I saw the new program that is offered. Looks very similar to another program that is offered in the community, but actually knows what they are doing, and is operated by a sports director, not a personal trainer who has no integrity, and no clue what they are really doing. I am not confident my post will remain on the page, because the truth hurts, but if this helps one person make an informed decision for their child then my job here is done. Oh, and whoever is monitoring this page and forced to reply with one of those, we are so sorry for this experience please don't bother. Fix your broken sports program, and start putting value on the community and the families that have been there supporting you all along, and believing they were a part of something bigger.

If there were other options we would go somewhere else. This isn t to say that there aren t good people here ,but obviously the culture of the facility set by their director Barry is very negative. In our time here we have had coaches curse and yell at our children and Barry refused to take action, difficulty getting accurate game schedules and once again Barry refused to take action, and most recently a lack professionalism and fairness from trainers in the gym and of course Barry joined in and refused to take action. As a leader by profession I understand the need to set a positive culture, develop community, relationships, and provide good customer service to your guest. None of this occurs here ,and I doubt it ever will with the current leadership structure in place

I would love to be able to give this Y a great review, due to the convenient location to my home. Unfortunately, I cannot. While they offer great services for children, their communication is poor and unprofessional. My daughter was registered (and paid) for camp and when we arrived in the morning, I was told she wasn t able to attend. Being a working mom, I pleaded for assistance as no one had communicated she wasn t accepted. I showed the camp leader my phone, with no calls/emails but she insisted my daughter could not stay. The leader even acknowledged that I was not communicated with. I should ve known this was going to be the case, since the summer prior the camp leader refused to allow my daughter to obtain her eye glasses when she asked. I attempted to escalate these situations to the Director, Mr. Davis, however, nothing was addressed. For the price of this camp, I had higher expectations. I will go out of the local area for sports and camp.

The BASKETBALL PROGRAM at THIS YMCA IS TERRIBLE! There are children running the scoreboard, they have inexperienced, poorly trained volunteers as the referees, the team are imbalanced and the gym floor is always dirty/slippery. SAD.

Nice facilities, but horrifically overcrowded. Inconvenient hours, especially on the weekend when most people have the chance to work out. I was given a free membership here, but still pay to go to a less crowded gym.

OK, except they should reserve at least two lanes in the pool for adults during swim lesson time. We pay our monthly dues, and to only have one lane in the pool for swimmers other than swim class is extremely disrespectful to the other paying members. That is like 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM, virtually no swimming for others, for hard working paying members. I and other members I have consulted with get of work at about 5:00 PM, we want to swim but on arrival there is only 1 lane available and usually has 1-2 people swimming in the lane. So I have to come after 7:30 pm, way to late in my family, that's dinner and family time. Come on, I love the children and the swim lessons, but be fair, at least 2 lanes should be open at all times. If you are a working person, and you want to swim as part of your "after work exercise program", do not join this YMCA, you will be disappointed as I am.

I live right in the middle between the Boynton Ymca and the Boca Ymca. The membership covers both. I always chose the Boca YMCA whenever possible. The quality of the staff, the quality of the facilities, the quality of the programs are far superior. The child watch area at the Boynton Beach is very small, and the ladies usually have a bad attitude. I don t blame them, I would too if I was working in such a crowded little place, without adult sitting, or any structured activities for the kids.

Good gym and great instructors. I m picky when it comes to Zumba instructors so I was excited to find Emily s Zumba class over a year ago. She does an awesome job at keeping the energy high and the dancing fun. Kevin and Calvin are also excellent for Kettlebell workouts. I ve moved further away from this gym, but these instructors are the reason I still make the trip to the Y.

So far very unimpressed. Was referred to the Y by a neighbor. On healthy kids day they offered no sign up fee so of course we jumped on saving $150. Well they charged us the fee. Took us 4 days to finally hear back from them to explain why. Their excuse is BS. Basically they lied and scammed people and charged them the $150 even though they advertised it as being waived. Very disappointed and planning to cancel our membership. Very small gym and always crowded.

I'm canceling my family membership effective immediately! My youngest baby caught hand foot and mouth disease from their baby area and when I called to let them know, they weren't at all phased and replied with, "Ok. Your question?" I was like, "that's a public health issue, and I thought you'd want to know. I don't have any questions." Very rude and lacking COMPLETELY in customer service. I would give them 0 starts if I could.

I'm extremely disappointed with this ymca. I have been on a family plan since I was a kid and moved here so I use nation wide. I have never had an issue signing in then at 5:30am when I arrived I asked to sign in like I always do and was told I could not use the gym that day because there was a note someone left with my name on it saying they could not confirm it but didn't have enough detail just a hand written note saying my name and to call the manager in a few days to figure out the issue here. I've been going there for a few months now signing in with no issue and to be told I still can't just use the gym that day that I pay for and after all the money we have given to the ymca at 5:30am was just ridiculous. At least could have let me in for that day and had me figure it out after. Could have at least given me a call when they saw something is wrong. But they didn't even know why they weren't letting me in that day just saying I couldn't use the gym. I'm just disappointed in this branch

The aftercare is awesome. The staff is amazing and they all work well with the children. There are always several activities for the kids to do and my son has really enjoyed the last 2 years at the Y. Keep up the awesome work!

I use to work for a West Coast YMCA teaching Swim classes & Step Aerobics, supervising kids on the tennis courts, setting up memberships and hiring staff. This YMCA was part of the community - this one is NOT! No money, no membership! It's $15 a day (same as a nice club), no weekly fees allowed, no negotiating either - no volunteering excepted here! (Where do you think you are? The Y?) A $100 membership fee (seniors save an entire $4 on monthly dues after that), $70 month to visit (even for a week). Clueless staff, could not even work the computer and could care less about my time. I had to ask for a tour! A more inviting staff would be helpful. I guess the YMCA has changed. I certainly won't bother going there and will no longer make contributions or volunteer - on either coast!

I absolutely love the child watch. The staff is always friendly and greet my kids by name and smiles in their faces. It makes me comfortable during my workout knowing my kids are in good hands.

The friendly staff does a great job of keeping the Wellness Center clean and observes CDC guidelines for keeping members and their families safe from the coronavirus. I've been a member of the Boynton Beach YMCA for almost 20 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else to workout.

The Daycare staff, teachers and management are awesome and are some great folks. When we first signed up our 3 yr old there we were not too sure about the program as we are new to the area. We quickly learned that we made a great choice as we've gotten to know everyone. Staff and management are very accommodating and up on their game. Highly recommended.

The reason I choose 10 to rate my experience is because the YMCA is like a family and although you have bad and good in any family they are still family. I have experienced so much good mostly but the bad was corrected right away and the YMCA cares about my individual family needs and thats what I love the most. I recommend YMCA often to my friends and family and have had them try out the facility for a period of time with me and they loved it. Aside from YMCA being awesome I wouldn't change a thing this place has transformed my mind, body, and soul and allowed me to do it with God, a peace of mind, and my family.
