5* resort for those who like to be tampered. Amazing rooms, extremely friendly staff and nice snorkeling areas right outside the hotel. Get a room with plunge pool if you can!

Very nice place. Great staff. I can't wait to go again
Top end, pampered experience. If you have the money, let them worry about the details.
Beautiful location with the best beach on the island. Rooms are wonderful as well. The reason for only two stars is because the food at the restaurant is absolutely terrible. The staff is also not very friendly. They also didn't show up at the panga boats to pick us up so we had to find a local person to call the resort and have them come get us. Since the location is very remote we had to go to the fish fry next door to eat or walk into town through the jungle. After two terrible and overpriced meals at the restaurant we refused to eat there anymore. The resort ships in all their food from off the island so it's not the authentic experience and the food is not fresh. I feel like they should locally source the food so that money goes back into the island economy. I had the worst cevice I've ever had here, stale bread for breakfast and dry, overcooked fish with cold rice. The place seems poorly run overall.
We enjoyed our time at Yemaya and on Little Corn Island. Location of the hotel is very good; right at the best beach of the island with snorkeling off the beach. Our oceanfront room was very nice with beautiful vistas and sufficient amenities and a good bed.
Reason for 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is that the hotel should work on the staff and the restaurant. Staff is very client oriented but makes a lot of mistakes. For instance on arrival there was only towels and cups/glasses for two while we were with three. Every day while cleaning the room they took away all towels and delivered again two. You would think they would realize that we were with three. Also, we estimate that more than half of our restaurant orders went wrong. For instance bringing two drinks to our table but forgetting the third person's glass of wine. Or asking for hard boiled eggs and then getting scrambled eggs. Finally, quality of food in the restaurant can be better compared to other (cheaper) options on the island.
The hotel could improve even more if they would focus on training their staff.
One last thing for other travellers. In our case the boat back to Big Corn left 15 minutes early so we missed it and had to charter a local boat. Once you have purchase your tickets stay at the dock, because once full the boat will leave.
Great service, wonderful rooms, quiet paradise. Both an advantage and a drawback is it is a bit remote at the North end of the island, but well worth the stay. Good snorkelling and swimming right off the pristine beaches outside the hotel.
The place is a paradise, comfortable cabins, total tranquility
This place has so much potential, but it's wasted by poor management and operations. The rooms are beautiful and the location is amazing with a nice beach and the best snorkeling on the island. So I'd recommend staying here, but don't bother eating here. The food is four times the price of great local places like El Bosque, and the reservation method doesn't suit the low occupancy of the hotel right now, with restricted hours and limited offerings. Once tourism picks up again I hope things improve here.
Eat next door at Fish Fry to save a few bucks and get better food in larger portions, or walk into town for some great local cuisine. The staff are nice and usually helpful, but all this place is good for is a comfy bed, hot showers and nice views.
Fantastic beach, lovely staff, island paradise in the true sense of the words.
Also the Pina Colada from the beach bar is the finest I've ever had.
It's an amazing get away light-years ahead of anything else on the island
It's very nice and I work in the spa and it fasins me to work is nice everything
What do you think!!? It's the best Small Luxury Hotel on (even better) one of the most remote locations of Central America!
Of course there is a price. But if you really want to feel "Paradise on Earth", this is the place!
A pickup from the airport and a private boot trip Yemaya, where you are personally welcomed by the staff on the beach!! I felt like James Bond!
This with all the relaxing and helpful personnel of Yemaya, combined with an extraordinary georgeous beach gives your holiday just the perfect vibe.
I'd which everyone this feeling just once in their life time!
I was in love with this place hope to go back soon it s Paradise! Great hotel. The food was not bad but it s more expensive then other places. Take a little walk through the town and you will find good places to eat. Yemaya Thank you for everything
Magical, spectacular. I can only thank the Yemaya team for making us feel at home every day during the stay, cleaning, beautiful beaches, friendly locals and countless beautiful memories that we take from you, I More
Very good landscape, excellent rooms, good decoration. Failing to improve the ratio amount price of food and improve the breadth of the menu.
A paradise. It wasn't working. Phones from Mexico appear and not from Nicaragua. Ponhanmpromotions and affordable prices for Nicaraguans
A once in a lifetime experience! If your visiting Nicaragua this place should be in your bucket list. A lost paradise in the Caribbean. There are really not enough words to describe how beautiful and magical this place is.
Best views on the island. We felt so comfortable at Yemaya. It was hard to leave.
Nicht zum empfehlen !
Ich war letztes Jahr da und habs Probleme mit unsere Buchung ! Dann haben sie uns rausgeschmissen und den Zimmer weitergeben.
I have not stayed there, but the place is beautiful. This expensive, but it doesn't compare to anything else here. I would have felt far from downtown life, far from everything. But for those who want peace of mind the place is perfect.
This place was OMG, it's a paradise, 5 stars for the food and very good service.
The most beautiful area in corn island, the place is a bit expensive and the food is decent but not amazing. The whole area is beautiful with amazing views of the Atlantic.
Yemaya Island Hideaway is the most tranquil, stunning location I have ever been with the most courteous staff, making us feel so special. You can snorkel right in front of the resort, eat delicious food. Juan Aldana is the best barman creating cocktails and health drinks that make your taste buds quiver with delight. My friend had a massage with Doris and thought it was the most sublime experience.
Almost one year later, I still think about our stay at Yemaya. What a wonderful experience!!
Because it is a very good place, beautiful and unique, it has the beach in front of the sea, in fact, you have a pool and the beauty of it all is that you can see the sunsets
The best hotel on the island, with excellent comfort. A bar next to a paradisiacal beach, with crystal clear water and white sand. They have very comfortable transfer service between the islands and an excellent atmosphere to relax
We came here a couple of times during our Little Corn stay, and the views are breathtaking. If you aren't staying there, it's a bit of a schlep through muddy conditions (if it's been raining), so taking a dip in the water was necessary before visiting the restaurant. This was one of the most expensive places on the island for food, but I only had small plates, can't speak for proper meals. The lobster taco was really good: fresh tortilla, terrific sauce, and nice salty pickled onions on top. I had it twice, and the second time, it was very cilantro heavy.
We wanted to do massages, but they were booked out for the day, unfortunately. Also wanted to hire their boat to take us back around, but no go on that either, as they'd left early for the day. The person at the desk was super apologetic about that.
Bello, las persona buenas!
Recomendable
Definitely most complete lodging on the island. Friendly staff, great massages! Vegan options weren't as strong as desired, but everything else was wonderful!
Such a beautiful place. If you come to little corn island you must see this place. Restaurant and the people here are very nice.
It is located on the small island, the place is ideal to get away from the noise of the city and just be connected with nature.
Bad food for the price. Not very flavorful, expensive, and took awhile for dinner. Lunch however was delicious though expensive. Accommodations were excellent. Overall a great place to stay but eat dinner elsewhere.
Place was paradise on earth. Plunge pool is a must but not necessary as you have direct access to the ocean anytime you want. Food was a bit pricy and could of been a bit more flavorful but still enjoyed and very satisfied with the customer service we had during our stay. Def need to stay there for few days.
Super nice, very friendly staff. The Snorkeling tour was THE best! Awsome! They have their own boats, and captain, so you can enjoyr ir an amazing snorkeling tour and finish the afternoon with a sunset cruise! Captain "Jack" and "Barracuda" are the best and made the tour very enjoyable. Saw some sharks and Manta Rayas. The accomodation is very comfortable and lots of space with a beach front balcony. Has A/C and hot water. Restaurant really good too. Option to do a fun chocolate workshop.
I can not believe right now the reply I just got from Yemaya. I just said in my pass review that who ever works on email and writing these reviews either doesn t work at the one in little corn island or really doesn t know what the hotel they work for has to offer!!! Natalia Redond Just said 300 usd, was a special package that had flights, boats, room and a credit towards restaurant consumptions, not pricing only for meals THAT IS VERY WRONG!!!! They never gave me that deal and if they did where is the rest of my money??? I paid for my flight $180USD with tax Round trip , paid $20 for boats round trip. I also paid for the taxi $5 for two, I paid for 3 rooms first room was $150, second and third room was $100 each we were a group of 5 so do the math. Plus our meal was $250 at Yemaya the food was cold and it wasn t that great not for the price they ask for. I asked plenty of time via email if you had any packages and you guys told me no I have all the proof and receipts of what I really paid. If I paid $300 for everything I would definitely not be complaining. Yemaya you need to do a better job at hiring people before they respond, they need to know what your hotel really offers.
Beautiful place on beautiful island, but the whole organisation could be better. The whole island had bananas except for this hotel while they kept offering the banana smoothie on the board for the whole week. They advertise with Yoga space and different sorts of activities but in our case there were none. Snorkeling gear you have to pay. Most expensive coffee and smoothies of the country.
Great bar opened to non-guests, best drinks I had at the island. Look for happy hour times, 2 for 1, since prices are high.
Wonderful scenery at the best resort on little corn. Only issue was a few skipped yoga classes and a few dishes taken off menu due to a lack of ingredients. The comfortable room and the sailboat to the reef made up for it.
The only reason I am giving this place a 2 star rating is because the room was nice. From start to finish the staff was shockingly rude and lazy. Me and my boyfriend came there, he ultimately proposed to me on the beach, this was supposed to be a romantic getaway! They only serve food through certain limited hours and even then have a select menu that is very unaccomadating. My boyfriend is Vegan, when we told the staff this.. I think his name was Antwoine, this specific server went to the back of the bar and started cussing and speaking rude on my boyfriend, not knowing that we could understand every single word because my boyfriend is Carribean. The next day we decided that we no longer would give Yemaya restaurant our service because a 20 minute walk through mud into the other part of the island was better than dealing with waiters that rude. On our way back we decided to stop at the "Fish Fry Shack" that is right past the Yemaya restaurant to eat. When passing the Yemaya restaurant once again that same waiter came out of the restaurant and asked us if we were going to stay for dinner, we kindly said "No thanks". A girl server from Yemaya then runs after us, asking us when we are "Checking out" for the next day. I couldn't believe he was so bitter we wouldn't stay for dinner.. he actually had some girl chase us down asking us such a ridiculous and rude question. We ultimately decided to leave early at 6am and not 1:30pm because I think I would blow up if I am rudely approached again! So angry. Do NOT stay or eat here. Two other European girls that came with us on the Panaga boat shared the same rude behaviour from the staff at Yemaya and said the food was terrible. Glad we had enough sense not to eat there.
Beautifully curated boutique hotel. Only 16 bungalows with diretlcr access to a white sandy beache and coral reef
Great location, super kind staff and incredibly comfortable and cozy rooms with warm water. 5 stars even when the weather was rainy and windy.
Peace, great service, great food....worth every single dime
Nice place but not friendly staff. Specially if you are there with rain...
Difficult to start this review.
My entire stay had a experience.
The room, food, amenities, beach & staff was all beyond our expectations.
Couples, friends or solo, if your visiting this little Paradise island, you owe it to yourselves to stay at this resort. Truly once in a lifetime.
We just returned from Little Corn Island where we spent a dream vacation at Yemaya with family and friends. The big effort to get to Little Corn Island is well worth it - and made much simpler with the VIP package that Yemaya offers. I'd strongly recommend considering that option.
What a fantastic place with unparalleled service. Our group of 16 stayed in 5 cabanas, which are located right on the beach. The folks at Yemaya have considered every detail to make this a relaxing and easy vacation spot. The cabanas were gorgeous, comfortable and well appointed (including a mini fridge and outside spigot to wash sand from your feet).
In a week's time, none of us wished there were more to do. Yemaya provided paddleboards, kayaks and snorkel gear for guests' use. There are many lounging hammocks on the beach. The lodge is stocked with games and a lending library. A daily excursion is always posted, in which you can participate free of charge including dance lessons, hikes and snorkel trips on a sailboat. The daily yoga and meditation classes in the open air accommodated everyone's needs from beginner to advanced.
We walked the 30 minute walk to the other side of the island on a daily basis, which was fascinating and fun. We arranged scuba certification and fishing excursions with the help of the folks at Yemaya.
A review of Yemaya isn't complete without discussion of the fabulous and fresh food. Wow! We ate so well. The breakfasts are complimentary and fantastic. The lunches and dinners feature seafood, vegetarian fare as well as meat. We LOVED the food at Yemaya and Michael, the cook, made certain to accommodate special dietary needs. I'm still dreaming of the dinner he cooked for us with the fish we caught on the fishing trip - out of this world!
The entire staff at Yemaya made the experience special. ,Whether we needed a boat ride, suggestions of things to do, a phone call to the other side of the island, a smoothie made in a certain way, coffee served earlier than posted - our queries were addressed quickly and with a smile. Our rooms were kept impeccable by a staff who seemed to slip in and out - unnoticed. The wait staff, the yoga instructors, the front desk staff, the bartenders, the boat drivers - everyone made this experience one of the best vacations we've ever taken.
Lovely Hide Away in the Caribbean Side of Nicaragua! Expensive food...so try to do to the little town instead for dinner. A 20 minute walk from the Resort & worthwhile..
This is truly a dream island resort. Beautiful white sand beach, wonderful accommodations, terrific food and very attentive staff.
Very good retreat. Really nice rooms right on the beach. Food and service is good.
This is the most gorgeous place to stay!!! The beaches are immaculate as they are swept each morning, the rooms are beautiful and housekeeping does a great job keeping them fresh. The views are like no other and the beach water is calm enough to swim and snorkel. Breakfast and lunch were nice at the Yemaya (breakfast-French toast, pineapple preserves with ginger, chocolate banana smoothie, omelette) (lunch - coconut shrimp and fried fish). We had an amazing young man who was our waiter who was very attentive and extremely pleasant. Dinner at Fish Fry and Karinia s was more our style. Fish Fry is a short walk on the beach. Check out reviews for Darinia s and Fish Fry.
It's a superb place in a superb place! The only flaw is the dinner a little obligatory with the need to choose in the afternoon between three proposed menus. The rest is excellent!
I loved it!! Literally a little piece of heaven! The staff was so helpful and super nice. The food super delicious! Can't wait to go back!!
Great little Villa Resort on Little Corn Island. Just reopened under new Management, staff was great and extremly corteous. The little Villas are all Front beach, best beach on LCI, the food was also very good.
It is the best hotel on the island, without a doubt, but at a price that is not justified. It also has the best beach ... or rather the only one cared for, where they rake the sand, there are comfortable hammocks and you can eat quite rich, although the menu of the chiringuito is very short, they take a long time and the barman does not know how to explain the dishes served .
I would never return to that island and I would not recommend it either, I think it has more marketing than real appeal.
A waste of time and money.
By the way, the best snorkel hire at the dock, xq at the hotel you get $ 50 per person.
Pure perfection. The island itself is a gem. You arrive on a private boat and are greeted with warm washcloths to remove the sea water and sand from your face. The food is stellar. The service is top notch. A wonderful Yoga, meditation, and massage. Once in a lifetime kind of place.
Geweldig mooie accommodatie, erg genoten. Grote kamers, veel ruimte en privacy. Prachtig uitzicht.
Resort is great.
You have the beach to yourself.
Unfortunately, due to the location, you always have to eat at the resort because the other restaurants are on the other side of the island. But the food is also first class.
The house reef is also recommended. We met little nurse sharks.
Cute, comfortable, comfortable very beautiful and attractive. Spacious cabins and excellent service
