Say Hueque Argentina Tours Review

Ok for Argentina travel. Error in itinerary and high overhead cost in W circuit travel in Torres Paine Chile.

We had a great time with this agency and with Agustin.
The advice we give to future travelers of the agency is to ask that the parks and the various activities are paid in advance and to get a detailed map of how to get to the hotel from the point where the bus leaves you.

You are paying premium for I am not sure what. I went from IGR directly to Iguazu Falls for less than $13usd round trip and easily - versus paying Say hueque well over $100! really just to transport me there and back. No thank you.

Take the bus, or for $25 each way for taxi (confirm rate with taxi as you get it in).

We are independent travellers and prefer not to be part of a tour group which we find a little suffocating. After doing some research on the internet, we felt that we would be happy working with Say Hueque to provide the services we were seeking and we were very pleased we did.

We would like to thank Say Hueque for organising a truly memorable tour to the Iguazu Falls (Argentinian and Brazilian sides) and to Perito Moreno Glacier. From the first and very prompt response we received from Say Hueque, we knew that we had contacted a very responsive, responsible and reliable tour company. When we used Skype to discuss the brief that we had provided, Henry was there to take our call at the prearranged times. Because of the time difference between Australia and Argentina, this was important.

We like to be reasonably organised when travelling as we achieve more and it is much less stressful. Henry, Pia and Agustina took our requirements on board and also offered very helpful suggestions such as restaurants, must see sights, what to wear and take, information about Argentinian culture and other useful tips that made this holiday such a joy. Say Hueque organised our accommodation, guides, and airport collections. Everything went without a hitch.

The bottle of Reserve Malbec that was given to us as a thank you was very much appreciated.

The company is very professional and we would certainly recommend them to anyone who is contemplating a personalised trip to Argentina.

I had a fabulous trip with Say Hueque taking in Argentina, Uruguay & a bit of Chile which was very well planned by Patricio. It was as flexible & independent as I wanted & this is one of the best things about this company. They will do everything for you or you can do some yourself & they will tailor make your trip to your needs & wants.
I was glad I had them book my accommodation as some people I met on my trip had struggled to find somewhere to stay as many of the bigger operators buy up all the rooms.

Any Flights, transfers or buses booked by Patricio were all on time & everything was well organised. Everyone I met, either through a transfer or excursions or hotels were well organised & knew my name - it was all very friendly & I really felt that they wanted to look after me.

Thanks to Patricio s excellent service & advice I was even able to book some extra excursions during my trip - he was always there to help via e mail or phone.

I cannot recommend Say Hueque enough- they were fabulous & I will be using them again to do more of Chile on my next trip.

We are not into group tours but for the time we had we decided to use Say Hueque. I'm glad we did. We will also be using them again next year along with some other friends. Most unusual for us.

Just had an amazing trip to Argentina, the whole trip went by flawlessly ,we had 7 internal flights which seems a lot but we were picked up and collected by private taxis right on time, often accompanied by a guide or been given our next days itinerary. It was always good to be welcomed by staff at the hotels who were expecting us . The food and wine was fantastic ,seafood in Ushuaia, superb lamb in El Calafate, beef everywhere, and of course Malbec in Mendoza. We had a great time and could not fault Say Hueque's organizing skills

They took the reins of my Patagonia trip and made everything so easy! Nice and caring people. I really enjoyed my time in Argentina and Say Hueque just made it all better! Their suggestion to visit Ibera -which we did- was the best ever as it made a difference. Thanks you guys!

We organized a trip to Argentina 7-8 years ago with this agency, and the experience was 100% positive at this time. Unfortunately, something has obviously changed, as the level of service and flexibility has significantly dropped down. They organized our last trip to Chile and the experience is quite negative.
After contacting them, the time to get a response is very long. Sometimes there were several days between emails without answering. Furthermore, they do not show flexibility which is significant when arranging an individual tour.
The trip to Chile they suggested after our request for locations and time was made with the aim of earning as much as possible. Thus, e.g. in the Atacama area, they organized an Astronomy Tour the first evening (ending around 1:30 in the morning) and then, in the morning a geyser tour starting at 4:30 in the morning, less than 3h to sleep. It was only after our intervention that they changed it.
In the Atacama area, tours were organized in very large groups of 25 or more people, not personalized at all. The tour, which was supposed to start at 4:30 (indicating that it could sometimes be up to half an hour late), began at 5:15. We then contacted their emergency number 24/24 but no one answered us, but only in the afternoon.
In Atacama we chose a 4 star hotel (and received a package price for that specific hotel) but they later put us in a 3 star hotel the price remained the same for a lower level hotel.
In the area of the lakes, the tour was organized for two days in almost the same place (Osorno volcano), although it was possible to have tours in other areas. Fortunately, a local guide explained that it didn't make sense to go to the almost same place for two days in a row, so the tour was changed the first day by a local guide. A local guide explained that this often happens with agencies that have no experience. I don't know how much experience this agency has with Chile, but obviously not much.
Furthermore, a tracking was organized (just 6 km in length in normal conditions no problem), but it was not indicated that the surface is extremely difficult and completely soft and sandy terrain. During the 2 hours of walking, nothing special is seen, only towards the end you can see a river of lava that could be reached with a walking distant of 200 meters from the road. Local guides said that they do not like this tour at all because it is difficult not only for the guests but also for them.
In the lakes area (Puerto Varas), the agency booked us a hotel of our choice, indicating that it is a 5 stars hotel, but its facilities, cleanliness and service were well below that level. Dirty windows (extremely dirty), broken flush toilets, waiting 45 minutes to order a drink at a bar are just some of the disadvantages of this hotel (there are many more).
In Santiago, a hotel (Ismael, 4 stars) was OK for the first nights on arrival. The last night on departure, they upgraded free of charge our standard room to a suit, but we also understood why: that suit, except for being very dirty (thick layers of dust on the tub and shelves), had a very unpleasant odor, coming from air conditioning. Probably some guests complained, so they changed their room and then "upgraded" us. The room we had in the same hotel (standard room) on arrival was much better.
The agency also stated that they are taking care of travelers safety and that there is no particular dangers given the unrest situation in Santiago. I didn't understand how they were taking care of the guests, because the hotel was in the very area of the demonstration and on the last evening the demonstrations started, tear gas was thrown and luckily we returned 10 minutes early to the hotel and could see it all from the window of the room. I understand that the agency has no influence on the demonstration, but in such situations alternative solutions and less dangerous locations should be sought. However, this obviously does not concern them, as they only take responsibility for the guest declaratively but not factually.

Nothing special, they charge 150 pesos for a flight reservation and don't offer anything different than online reservations...might as well book on Orbitz
