Yehia & Co Hair Designs Review

I ve been getting my hair at Yehia s for 10+ yrs. The very last time I went in (was told to walk-in over the phone), I was told no one was in to service me wash & blow-out. I was willing to wait until someone show up since it was morning time, but I was told NO ONE will come in to service me with a blow out. I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. This was my first time going to them this yr. Why tell me to come in for service if no one is available? I don t live in the area! As scary as it is to find another place/company to do my hair, it seems what s best.

I've been a client of the Yehia brand for 25+yrs. My current Hair Artist is Evan. I am EXTREMELY TENDER-HEADED, and he takes the time to comb and blow-dry my below bra-strap tresses with care. I usually get a relaxer and trim every 3 months. I've decided to go natural and will only go in for trims since I will no longer add direct heat to my tresses. This journey will probably take at least 2 years to transition my long tresses, but I'm up for the journey.

Evan works with relaxed and natural hair. You will not be disappointed.

Went to the salon in Hyde park. I thought I was in good hands because the owner was cutting my hair. However, I was in tears when he was done. I specifically told him I did not want my hair short but he chopped it all off anyway. He said he had to because my ends were bad. Regardless if they were or not, that is not his decision. He did not even discuss it with me, he just chopped it all off. There is no style to it either. I walked into his salon with beautiful long curly hair down the middle of my back and left out with short chopped off looking hair just above my shoulders. I am soooooooooo pissed and I want to sue. This is not right. Now I have to live with this until my hair grows back. Not fair!

Specifically told them no chemicals as I had spent 4 years going natural. Was assured multiple times that a keratin treatment was only protein. As soon as it touched my scalp it was irritated and my eyes burned. I had damage to the scalp and have to start my natural hair care journey anew. So many great stylists and shops in the city. Go elsewhere!

Had an appointment at 12:45pm with the owner. I waited over an hour and the owner still didn t show up. Bad service.

I absolutely love this Salon! They treat you like family, they offer coffee and or tea while you wait. The staff is always very professional! They know how to treat their customers!
