Great salon, not a snooty place, even though it is on Newbury Street. I love John Dion he does a wonderful job with my frizzy Irish hair. I can highly recommend this salon and John as well as the rest of the staff.

Trust me, I've done the leg work. My stylist is Rob, he is absolutely amazing! People are constantly asking where I get my hair done and commenting on the color. 7 years since I found Avanti and I'm still going to Julia 3 to 4 times per year! She has taken so many product and color classes in the past couple years that we have been able to try so many fun things with color and tape-in extensions while still keeping with my natural blonde look. Lately we've been adding orange and yellow under my blonde highlights and it looks amazing. I get so many compliments on my hair. Having a great stylist is the most important thing you can do for your appearance. Julia and Avanti keep me looking classy, even in my hoodies and jeans. Love this place!

I have been going to Avanti for over 6 years now to see Rob Martelli and I must say this has been my longest relationship with a man! If you're looking for a great cut or colour, this is your man! He's highly trained and experienced. I have recommended him to clients over the years too and I hear nothing but great things. I always get treated well at Avanti and the shampoo guy Johnathon gives a wonderful massage...and isn't that the best part?! I've also had Rob do my hair in up do's and make up for Halloween. If you're looking for a wedding hairstylist, Rob is also your man. Go...and thank me later!
I always have a great experience at Avanti salon. I live 30 miles outside of Boston and I am happy to make the drive to see my stylist- Rob. Rob is an extremely talented hair stylist. He is a master at color and has gotten my hair the healthiest it has been in years. He has perfected my blonde hair color without the use of bleach. i constantly get compliments on my hair cut and color. Rob is a miracle worker. If you want a stylist that listens and consistently delivers a quality cut and color, Rob should be your choice. He is fabulous! He is what makes my experience at Avanti spectacular.

I have been a client at Avanti for years. My colorist is amazing and people are always asking where/who does my hair (Christine Riley). I am pretty much comfortable going to anyone there for a blow out. I also often get my nails done there and the technician hands down gives one of the best mani/pedis in the Boston area for a very reasonable price (less than the spas but more than the Asian places). Needless to say the location is great too.
