This place is BEAUTIFUL! We stayed our last night in PR. Got there and it wasn't as lively as I thought it would be but the scenery itself and the coquis was all I need. We woke up to beautiful skies and I went exploring on my own to find the beach down the walkway/road. SEA TURTLES NEST HERE! I was so excited I walked all along the beach hoping to see one but no luck. The iguanas hanging around are SO cute. Ok back to the hotel... the room was really nice and clean. Love that the toilet has its own space away from the sink and shower. This place was worth every penny and I'll definitely be coming back! I can only afford 1 night every PR visit though. Hahaha

Horrible! No elevator, no microwaves in the rooms. Rooms are VERY plain and basic. Was with my elderly parents and they had to go up and down numerous stairs. Bathroom door did not lock, tile in balcony ceiling was held with duct tape, bathroom extractor in my parent s room did not work. Pool
Extremely small. It is in very poor conditions. Do NOT waste your money.

Our stay was pleasant. Overall, the room was neat, the food was great and the view was outstanding! However, the staff needs to improve their customer service skills. We had to constantly wave at the servers in order for them to acknowledge us and some of them were careless. There was a gentleman (I believe he was the supervisor) who lacks leadership skills. He was constantly screaming at the servers and his attitude was not the best. Definitely not a leader! The only staff member that exceeded my expectations was Paola. She was very sweet and she made sure everything ran smoothly.

Nice resort but had hidden fees. If you want to go anywhere, which you do because there is nothing around, you need to rent a car and then they charge you for parking. They dont have a shuttle to the airport, they just tell you to call a taxi that is $85 to the airport. They have live music at night during the weekends which was nice but overall I would have stayed in San Juan.

The pool is nice, but small. The bar closes early so watch for that. Beach is right by the hotel. Calm beach but no beach chairs, not really a beach to hang out on all day, but a good beach to walk a ways on. So if you want beach play, this may not be your spot.
Parking was down the street from the hotel.
Golfing is popular here. Golf carts are every where. Watch out for the drivers, especially if you rent bikes. They don't necessarily watch out for you! We rented bikes and rode around, but get back by dark. We almost got a little lost. (but, that could have been the rum too)
On our bike ride, we saw a little marriage spot that looked nice. It was back on a little road that might have been marked "Authorized personnel only" but it was there.

Room was perfect for all of us. Two bedrooms in our suite, 2 beds, a fold out sofa, and a connected bathroom with a toilet separate from the shower which is so much appreciated with 6 women! Problem is, we got double booked and it was a huge issue trying to get a refund. Days of having to call back, talk to different managers, calling corporate office, ect. Huge headache.

All in all, a nice hotel, but not enough for a big 4 or 5 star with a small pool, bar closing at 4, a beach without beach chairs and double booking problems.

I stayed in PR for a total of 5 weeks between 2 visits. I left reviews as often as I could remember between all the rum drinks I had . Take my reviews as you will. I was traveling with one other mom and 4 teenage girls. We had A GREAT time.

This review applies to the restaurant Oregano inside the resort.
Where to begin, first I need to make clear it was a thursday, it was not particularly busy. The time it took to be served was adequate. However, when we asked for a cocktail menu the server says it's an open bar, whatever you want. I asked for a moscow mule and was given the 20 mile stare. We then asked for sangria to keep it simple. The sangria was bland to say the least.

The server offered "free" cake and coffee only to then charge me for a plate I didn't order.
If you ever go to the Candelero, AVOID Oregano. I won't step inside that place ever again.

Absolutely, flawlessly gorgeous grounds and pool area. I'd give the room itself 3-4 stars. No microwave or hair dryer on our room. Bathroom doors do not offer 100% privacy. Otherwise clean and comfortable.

The place is good, but in davids cookies the cashiers are thrown but today the cashier threw three runs and did not say or apologize. When I heard them I said SALUD GOD BLESS YOU and he did not give or thank you ...
