Love this place, I'm a pen turner and creator of exotic hybrid wood and resin pen blanks, and I love digging through their scrap and cut off bins. The staff are very helpful and I come here to buy rough lumber often as well for larger projects.

Went here to get some tweaks done on a DiY desk I bought off of Amazon. They weren't able to do what I was looking to have done but they did tell me where I could go to get what I was looking for (creative woodworking NW inc) and out of pure kindness one employee offered and gave me a ride there with his personal vehicle! Which helped a lot since I was carrying some big wood boards around and was going to pay for a lyft to take me there. Next level customer service! So glad I went to this place! Even when they couldn't do what I needed they still helped me get what I was looking for.

This is great place. You would think that at a small local place you'll pay a little more for something than of you bought it set big chain. I personally do not find that to be the case all the time. And many things I buy are premium and they have same price as Amazon. If I do pay a couple extra bucks, I don't mind because the staff is super knowledgeable and will give you the help you need. LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE FOLKS WHO WORK THERE!

Friendly, but my god, way overpriced-three dollars for a tiny bag of screws for my drawer guides! (This was AFTER returning, because the salesman didn't give them to me when we got the guides the first visit)!!

This is the place for the serious woodworker. They have a huge and varied inventory and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Awesome wood store with a large selection of lumber, plywood, and more. A large selection of exotic woods, also. They carry electric tools and assortment of hand tools. Weekly seminars are held to learn new skills.

Woodcrafters is my go to woodworking supply shop. They have an absolutely fantastic selection of every product you would ever need. Great knowledgeable service.

Normally I have a great experience with the Portland Woodcrafters. However most recently I was helped by an older fellow with glasses and a cane who was extremely condescending and presumptuous about my needs and application for the parts I wanted. His tone was completely unwelcome and ultimately betrayed whatever self awarded vocational mastery he was attempting to bully me with. Avoid this man if you can. Everyone else I have dealt with is great.

This is the place to go for wood, tools, expertise on woodworking. The assortment is excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The quality is high. On the rare occasions when they make mistakes they fix them quickly.

This is a great place to find hard to get woodworking items and wood products. You will spend a lot, so you should make sure you can't find what you're looking fire elsewhere first. A very friendly place, and the staff is ready to help with any questions you may have.

Complete woodworkers palette. Great salespeople who are polite and knowledgeable. WC doesnt handle large commercial shop machines,but for the most part,if they don't have it,it doesn't exist. Some things are priced higher than normal but overall this a fun place to visit for any level of woodworker.highly recommended

Also not very friendly, honest, or helpful staff.

Apparently it cost $45 dollars to make one cut on a piece of plywood.

(which I learned only after purchasing the wood, which I had made clear I d need cut.
They wouldn t cut it until after I purchased it, which seemed fair,
but they failed to mention how much that cost until after I purchased it. Even though I asked several times.)

Considering the plywood itself is $20 dollars.
Not the best business practice for earning repeat customers.

Needless to say, I will select a different shop next time.

Full of helpful, polite, and informative experts, gorgeous wood, and some of best tools around, Woodcrafters will separate you from your disposable income faster than lightening kills a tree. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the well laid out isles, great lighting, and helpful experts. Contractors, professionals, and hobbyists alike are immune to their crafty ways!

The store is great but the customer service is garbage. I needed an estimate on lumber so I went the front desk. After being told to wait for help I watched up five guys who supposedly work they help one customer. I don't know if they were ignoring me because I'm female or because I'm not a regular. Either way, I probably won't go there again.

Huge selection of just about anything wood related you might need. As they don't specialize in any one thing, there could be an issue with having a specific wood or tool in stock, but they are more than willing to order something for you.

I visit WC 2-3 times a year, whenever I have projects. The staff is always so helpful and understanding of my ignorance, and they always guide me in the right direction. They offer great information, and advice, and provide great personal service. You never have to walk around to find someone to help you, since they promptly greet you at the door. Bill and Dylan are so amiable and knowledgeable. It's also really nice that throughout the three years that I've been shopping here, I see the same faces.

Great service by knowledgeable staff, great selection of tools (especially Festo, the best there is), good selection of wood species. Duane did a great job for me! They will take as much time as needed to help you whether you're a pro or a novice hobbyist.

This place has it all! I'm sure that some people could and will complain about prices but when you can find siding that is a perfect match for your 1911 Portland home (on the shelf!) you might change your tune. Wood, screws, tools, glue, hardware, moulding and more. It's a candy store for those who work with wood.
