I had the pleasure to volunteer with New York Cares to help around in the Rooftop garden that WHEDco has for their residents. The garden is well kept and they grow different types of fruits and veggies for their residents, which I love!

I want to give this place no stars at all. So, nasty and rude to people over the phone. Disgusting.. I simply had a question about this organization to see if we could help them out but the nasty person who answered the phone and actually hung up on us. Wow, we'll take our volunteer work to another organization that will appreciate our help. Shame on you all..

Wedco is one of the best program, my child went to head start and everyone is very helpful, nice, friendly and polite. Here they really help your kids to get prepare to go out to real school. I love and will always recomended it. My child is now in 3rd grade going to 4th. I am really thankful with all the staff at Wedco and my child's teachers.

Extremely unprofessional organization. Only gave one star because zero is not an option. My wife dealt with them as a provider and the disrespect and lack of communication is unbelievable. The staff expects everything to be done in a way that is convenient for them and requires little to no work on their part. They lose paperwork, do not return calls or respond to emails in a timely manner. Do not work with this organization. Organizations like WHEDco is the reason NYC has so many problems. I am not for bigger government programs but if having a place like WHEDco and their staff do the work is the alternative, everyone would be better off with the City taking over. ACS and HRA should be embarrassed that WHEDco is responsible for handling the placement of children in daycares.
