OK, so i understand the nature of internet and the hazards of getting said internet in my area. Having said that, i was told by their install tech that our site would yield extremely good connection due to signal strength he himself observed during the site survey. So i signed on. The service was fine for about 3 months, (i was like in the first 10 folks to get hooked in), after that when more people signed on and more and more dishes starting popping up around town, low and behold service dropped by at least 40%. Now, i have some experience in this field, and 2 decades of being a professional trouble shooter / problem solver. So it was a short walk to see that they (WISPER) had already reached the limits of the equipment they had installed to bring service to my area. After many, many, conversations with them, not the least of which was at the threat of legal action, we had a tech come and review our records of speed tests and performance issues, when the higher ups at Wisper, saw these files, i magically received an upgraded dish. This proved to be adequate for around 2-3 more years (not counting the numerable times we have lost service or experienced severe speed loss). We suffered through because they are the only game around for my usage needs. Now at this current time, i have sat here for almost 6 days with around 1/5 of what i am contracted for, 2 days spent attempting to call in and get assistance, over 7 hours of on the phone trouble shooting. (during which the tech shut down service to most if not all of the surrounding area, and my speeds were almost double........) strange coincidence huh? lol. and yet no better off than 6 days previous? Essentially i propose that they have "over sold" the area, and are unwilling to upgrade their tech to compensate. This idea of "best possible" speed and "up to" price contracting, while mostly legal is POOR BUSINESS. It is deceptive and greedy. I was actually looking to add another line (as i have many power users at my place) But that will be placed on indefinite hold after the last weeks facade. I am currently seeking legal advice and possible resolution and hopefully some punitive action. If i cant get at least basic reliable service, then i shall attempt to discourage or at least prevent others from getting in with these cheats. I also noticed an interview with the president of this outfit, and he said (in regards to reporting trouble /bad service practices to FCC) that he goes to church with his customers and they will tell him in person if he is doing a bad job...(paraphrased of course) HAHAHA ..... nice line man. Maybe instead of spending time with your "customers" at church you should take a trip into the world at large, where your company is doing a fantastic job of spiraling into the abyss as you have about the single worse reputation out here and on the internet of any other group in the area? Wonder why that is? something about promising something you have been unable to deliver reliably? In conclusion, this is my story and review, IF you cannot get internet any other way, use these guys, but be aware that you may not get anywhere near what you are being sold. Be wary if you are among the first in a area, it will start off good, but as they add more money to the coffers your service is bound to suffer, and don't expect a quick resolution to your woes. As stated elsewhere they have "deplorable" customer service. ( a company who offers 24 hour product with only 10-12 hours of support.) cause keeping techs handy cuts into those profits man!
Update to my review, so yes they did indeed contact me, and no i am still not satisfied, why? Because its been 6 days minimum since i last had "reliable" connection speeds, and now they claim there is damaged equipment on their end, that will take maybe 6-7 days to replace/repair...... anyone else see the problem here? Who else can get away with conducting business this way? Gratz you lost another star.
Update to this review, nearly a year later and guess what? .... SAME STORY! (If i could revoke the last star i would.) Terrible
