WIRKSWORTH HERITAGE CENTRE Review

Superb location and this being part of our heritage is well worth a visit

Excellent heritage center and museum - really informative and nice way to spend a couple of hours, especially on a wet day. Was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the cafe food was - clearly home made - and the cafe staff were really helpful (I'm Coeliac so have to be careful). Vege chilli was lovely!

It's the first time I have visited this cafe. The staff are friendly and it's very clean. I had a scone very nice and a cuppa. The other meals that people where having looked very tempting also. I didn't see the rest of the site but passed through the shop. Well worth a visit if passing through Wirksworth.

Excellent, tour guide, Jill was brilliant brought the place alive as she had been a boarding student there in the late 60's and could relate tales of living there.

Lovely villiage. Quirky little shops. Great scenery.

Well worth a visit. It was the same size as Derby in the 1500s.

I only visited the ground floor cafe which was really pleasant. A good choice of light lunches very well presented by lovely staff. Good quality ceramic teapot and cups. My visit was to see a small display of excellent paintings by local artist, Peter Gill.

Some interesting displays, but had the feeling of fulfilling a civic obligation rather than a real enthusiasm for the local area.

Well worth a visit. Who knew Wirksworth has so much history.
