I've lived in two Wimmer Community communities and both were very nice and well-kept! The maintenance team was always very responsive and timely and Kathy was always super friendly and helpful!
The only thing that my roommate and I STRONGLY disliked (reason for 4 stars) is the air/heating situation at their Foxwood Crossing apartments in first floor units. The heat/air situation alone made me feel like I was living in college housing again. I really hope this is something they put money towards and update soon.

Leasing at one of their apartment communities - Oakton Beach. While I've lived in multiple apartments, this one is by far the best! It's a perfect location for me and my lifestyle: next to the lake, quiet neighborhood, and kind neighbors. Jordan, the property manager, is wonderful! She is always on top of what's going on in the community, follows up very quickly on issues, and very considerate!

I just renewed my lease for another year. As of November, I will be here 1 year and I've had a great experience with Wimmer and love living here. The staff are friendly, courteous, and professional. The staff organizes resident activities and special events such as having an ice cream truck on site. They are prompt with maintenance and any other questions you may have. I love my apartment with the exception of the carpet. I would prefer to have laminated hardwood or hardwood. Otherwise, this is a great apartment for the price and has great amenities.

When I first spoke with Jordan about this apartment I knew I was in good hands. Covid did add a challenging element to viewing an apartment but she spoke so confidently about the location, a perfect picture was painted for my new home. My apartment is beautiful, the landscaping is impressive and the attention to detail is unlike anywhere else. After a month of unpacking I am able to sit back and feel so proud of my home. The community is friendly, quiet and full of great neighbors. I am impressed with the quick responses to questions, communication about office hours and paying rent online is a 2 minute process. This is a wonderful place to live.

The Management Team and Staff at Poplar Creek are Friendly and have been Very Helpful. I enjoy being apart of The Wimmer Community. The Facility is well maintained, secure and has a beautiful landscape.

Never rent here its a joke. We lived here for 3 years. The only thing we loved about the place was the pool when the heater was working. In 3 years our rent went up 300 dollars with no new amenities except new water saving toilets which benefited them. The electric heat in each room in the winter was super expensive. We had wasps in the outside siding got drain flies in the drain in the closet and ants. We also had black mold which they came in scraped off wall and painted over that came back. They say your pet deposit isn't a deposit after you move out to keep your security deposit if your dog or cat had any accidents. I would run from this place and not rent.
We didn't break our lease because we would have had to pay the same amount. My mother in law didn't take over our lease we are still paying the rent.

I am always impressed with how promptly management responds to maintenance requests. Most maintenance requests are completed within 24 hours!The maintenance staff is always courteous, friendly, and efficient.

I just moved out of The Orchard and it was by far the worst experience since I have been living in apartment communities. It is not secret America is in a pandemic, and it has left many in horrible positions physically, emotionally and financially. Well let s say The Orchard staff/Wimmer Communities could care less. I got covid about a month before I was scheduled to move out and asked for an additional 30 days to move out and was denied. Move out week came along i thought I had until the 30th to be out, apparently it was the 27th, so they called me and asked did I have a place to go I said not really it s been hard with being sick. The woman said she would talk to corporate and call me back. She said if I didn t gave a place to go then it didn t make sense to put me out. She then called back and stated corporate said if I wasn t out in five days they would evict me and it would be public record and then it would be much harder for me to find a place to live. I hung up on her. I felt like she was kicking me while I was down: I just couldn t believe the way they treated me. I wasn t perfect but during the pandemic I still paid my rent within every single month. I just hope no one has to experience this mess ever.

We moved in during COVID so we were not able to tour our apartment in person. We were sent a video of a unit that would be similar to the one we could move into. We liked that it was on the first floor and that it was bigger than others we looked at and less than $1000 a month. On the day we moved in, we were appalled!!! The apartment was 1000% different than the video we were sent. It was tiny and very dated. It sent us into a panic. We called the office and after over an hour of talking to them on the phone (with movers and a Uhaul) they finally gave us a small apology and admitted they sent us the wrong video. They then said they had the apartment from the video available so we went to look at it and decided to move into that one. We were unaware we had to go through the whole application process again over the phone, which took over an hour. We also then had to pay 1200 a month for our apartment. We would not have moved into this apartment for 1200 if we would have known prior to our move in day. It was one of the most stressful days. We have lived here for awhile but the office staff has been rude and unhelpful the entire time.
